Sorry to say.....

Before now....you know that embassy sent some people to verify document....why not say it before now...not until someone said embassy sent 2 people....hmmmmmmm it is well........

It has never come up as a discussion on this forum until now, why should I just start mentioning it? But this is a known fact, embassies resort to all kinds of methods traditional and not so traditional, as methods for verifications.

I suspect people are hoarding information and only coming out with the true picture after been approved. Well, we can't fault them since it is to their prerogative to share or not but I think it will be beneficial to be open and reduce the brain work the gurus are doing.

Different schools have different refund policies. Where you to be denied and request refund, expect to loose some of your money. Other schools give 100 percent refund, others charge you a fee for asking for refund. Ensure to acquaint yourself with your school refund policies. On the hand, if CIC approves your visa but school admission letter has expired, they will demand of you a new one. So just wait for that decision no need to disturb them at this time. If your current resumption has passed without you hearing from CIC, go ahead and defer to January and if CIC requests the new admission, you will have it ready to flash it to them. Good luck!

First I doubt that CIC will carry out a physical check on all applications they receive, maybe in some cases where they doubt the authenticity of the documents and need to verify. But going back to the draw board, whether anyone hoards information about their application, if am familiar with the anthem here, is to be honest with all documents to be submitted when applying. Perhaps if the applicant was refused based on fake documentation, it wont be about hoarding information but why did he take that path. Just my two cents

So what about schools that give you a deadline to pay first semester fee. I applied to Fanshawe college and I was given a payment deadline for the program or I will lose the admission.

Nigerians always look desperate!
Why paying school fee when u never get your visa.
Fee payment doesn't guarantee approval.
It even looks desperate to some VO

Hmmmmm oga/Madam

Abeg read before you comment....this is and never a sign of desperation but to show that he / she can afford to pay the tuition fee and beside

Most of the school in Canada asked for part payment / full payment of tuition before so someone seat will be reserved.....

Even a time vo do asked students to pay school fee when they are convinced about there application....

So this is not near sign of desperation....
Good day

Nigerians always look desperate?

I’d be damned if you haven’t lived anywhere else, or God forbid stepped foot out of Nigeria.

Paying fees in my opinion isn’t desperation, it’s putting to rest the VO doubts about your financial capability to pay your fees.

Insufficient fund is a valid condition for visa refusal! Paying your full tuition most times makes you invisible to this visa refusal condition.

It’s not that deep.

Everyone should package his/her visa application whichever way he/she feels is best and stop forcing questionable opinions on others.

I applied on July 10. Thanks boss.

Please all the gurus in the house help me, can I submit my request letter in any Canadian embassy in the world?

I plan on leaving the UK tomorrow or Friday unfailingly or I should just post my passport with my request letter to the UK?

My UK visa expires next week Wednesday, if I submit my passport and I don’t get it on or before next week Wednesday, I would get a UK ban.

Please has anyone done it before?

What kind of people showed up at your address? Whites of blacks? Embassies are known to do such random physical checks. Recently I talked to a proprietor of a school who told me an embassy sent some men to come check the validity of transcripts submitted by an applicant. This is the first time I heard Canada does such physical checks. Please can you explain more what these people wanted from you?

Thanks @jnyuwa02. I am surprised too...according to my wife they are blacks (a lady came in while a man was outside). They identified themselves as a staff from BCI (Background Checks International or so)... I have never heard about them before. They spent like 10 minutes asking questions about our relationship, her place of work, number of kids, who owns the building, where we were staying before relocation (Probably they wanted to confirm the information I provided on the CIC forms). Shortly after I got home and she told me that they just left.....I quickly dashed out to track them but without luck. Fear con begin dey catch me...why me because I have never heard about such on this platform. Also, when I applied for US Visas for my wife and kids......they questioned her (because I was not allowed in) on the kind of work that I do...especially when they saw Libya Visas....but they never said anything about USA, UK, UAE and other Africa & Asia Countries I have visited.

I am suspecting they just started doing this physical checks or may be they pick some applicants at random like you earlier said. Only God knows what they are looking for upandan. It is well...

Thanks for explaining. I don’t think they only started these brazen moves. Last fall an applicant here on this forum reported calling his flight school in Kenya, only to be told some CIC officials showed up to verify if he was really a student.
