thanks, that helped a lot...

The fact is I use my experiences a lot as I find that is the fastest way to come up with ideas. I guess I have to "tweak" it a bit.

Ij1000:
Hi to an extent I agree with the tweaking. I had 3 IELTS attempts writing was 7 first attempt rewrote the IELTS then cos of listening, 2nd attempt writing was 6.5 then I had a rethink and last attempt writing was 8.5. What did I do differently studied a lot more Liz was really helpful in my case even though i also used other materials and you tube videos based on random google search for good materials and then I told myself that this was an exam and not a personal thing, I recall in the last 2 I always used my actual personal experiences when writing my essays, this time around I thought about what I felt the examiner wanted to read (I recall making a case for a preference for bicycles over cars in the city ) and prepared my essays that way of cause using the guidelines I got from Liz. You need to also give yourself time to read through to be sure you have limited your spelling or grammatical mistake to the barest minimum. Finally I started off with task 2, in the last 2 I started off with task 1, cos in my head the exam was meant to be easy (irony) but because I just wanted to do something different and I knew task 2 had more points allocated to it, I decided to start off with this to take off the pressure that just in case I was pressed for time at the ending I would have written task 2 properly. I am not sure if this helps but this was my experience. Cheers

my result LSRW : 8.5,7.5,9.0,6.5.. I just feel I've done the best i can. I will apply for a remark but i will also retake the exam. I dont think Liz videos helped because i followed all her instructions to the last.. I think I need to do somthing different..Any Ideas plsssss??

Please a simple search on nairaland will bring out the number. It won't even take you up to 1 minute. Let's try to be resourceful.

On the matter of this writing 6.5 issue...it could also be this issue of using overflogged phrases

http://ieltsliz.com/ielts-writing-tips-sentences-to-avoid/

Especially using "this essay will discuss....."

IeltsLiz says once an examiner sees that phrase and others like it they mark you down.

Not necessarily. The issue came up in Thread 4. I think it was @Guitarlife who noticed it in his gcms notes.
The conclusion then was that case officers calculate other funds first. If the funds are adequate, the PFA fund is not included. No one has yet reported that POF was found inadequate due to PFA funds. Until then, we will assume it is still valid.
cc @doppler06

Great but just one thing. Is this statement applicable for both Federal as it is for provincial nomination. I haven't had anyone using it for Federal though i have very little pple i know that have used federal so it may just be limited information due to my network. please help clarify if you have info abt this

. Please give some hints on how you wrote yours. Thanks

Mine was to discuss 2 views which I am to give my opinion as well. I paraphrased the statements reflecting the 2views and used it as my background. Then i gave my opinion which was the thesis for the introduction.

Then I went to the first paragraph to support the first statement . I raised a main idea and developed it. I also used example. I also stated the effect of that one idea.

The same I did for paragraph 2, discussing the second assertion and also gave an example.
Then I concluded and still refelcted my opinion.

I used single spacing for my paragraph instead of indentation .
I also used lots of Conjoiners( shebi na wetin dem dey call am?) Eg, although, however, consequently etc.
I read my eassy twice and corrected all the grammatical errors I could see. I also tried to use "strong" vocabs grin.

But all in all, I was lucky to be given a topic I could relate with. I bless God for that

Please can one combine two NOCs in the express entry? I have 5 years customer service experience with the bank, but I'm currently in a federal civil service doing a job I'll best describe as administrative officer. Been doing it for 5years now. I have a masters in HRM.
And a BSc in Sociology.
What will be the best NOC for me pls?
