BascoVanVeli: Victor Moses retires albeit prematurely but with dignity. What on earth is Echiejile still doing in national team consideration. I wonder if there are other factors that caused VM to leave the SE. He had chosen to keep quite as opposed to court controversy but opening a can of worms. I am bewildered. 4 Likes |

Goke7: That's unguarded Balderdash. VM has been one of the most consistent players we have had in recent times. Add to that pure quality. Take out VM we barely have 2/3 players who can match him for quality. A HUGE LOSS. My premonition is that there are some things going on behind the scenes and he has decided to leave. 4 Likes |

tbaba1234: The club and national team contention has cost some players a lot. Particularly quality players who do not require the SE to propel thier careers. One of the very few TOP QUALITY players in the SE a very big loss. Commitment is not measured by assumption or based on prejudiced ideas or body language that's being superficial. And in all honesty a complete disrespect to top player who has sacrificed time and effort to play for the SE. 1 Like |

Oasis007: Unfortunately like most things in life the value is only truly appreciated when it is gone. I watched Real Madrid without Ronaldo, I watched Leicester without Kante, Chelsea without Conte, too name just a few. We currently have pretenders to his throne but no ready made replacement. |

We forget so soon 1. Who currently has an experience of top level football like VicMo? 2. Who can take those cool penalties like him? 3. Who can rise up in Africa to score for us?[he was feared by coaches] 4. Who brings that creativity in attack for us? One thing is certain...he will be replaced...but not now...these guys you are mentioning Onyekuru,Samuel have not really played at high level even in Europe and Africa..,we wait for them.. 2 Likes |

Oasis007: Tell me one current SE player that can displace anybody in the Chelsea team ❓❓ And who is the teen that displaced VM please ❓ Our stalwart in defence was relegated to the U18's to train that's how much respect thay have for his talent. The disrespect shown to VM is completely uncalled for. 1 Like 2 Shares |

AIG07: You know, until you know someone personally what you have is media driven perception, the real person is very far from you. Getting anybody to jump to the SE is not the issue, getting True Top Quality Talent is. However, if you want to enthrone mediocrity, I guess your proposition in bold wins. After being educated right here about the extreme harsh reality of life of in Nigeria, financially speaking. I can understand how people's perspective on commitment can become distorted. Most Nigerian origin players in the UK who are on the ascendancy do not need the SE to promote and propel thier careers. It can even be a distraction that causes them to loose value. The players in Nigeria considers the matter a LIFE & DEATH issue. And as such will do anything on and off the field and concede to all demands from NFF officials. And may seemingly be perceived as more committed. Is that commitment national interest or self preservation. It's a matter of perception. I don't think you can judge commitment by assumptions on body language. That's being presumptuous in the negative and downright prejudiced. 5 Likes 1 Share |

forgiveness:in his era. His era was with the likes of Emenike, Musa, Mba, Omeruo and Oboabona. He is now retired, so, he is not in the same era as the likes of Onyekuru who are supposed to be "next generation" He was the best in his era, but he isn't the best in this new era. The biggest question is where Moses stands in Nigerian football history, he is no legend, he will eventually be compared to the likes of Osaze who could give you some really great performances on some days and then make you wonder where his brain went on other days. It is sad that he decided to leave at this point, because he will not be remembered the way he should have been. 2 Likes |

BascoVanVeli:Victor Moses has not even smelt who a legend is in Nigerian football. Victor Moses is a caricature to Chelsea fans. A CARICATURE. How can your legend be a caricature to his club? Mention Enyeama, someone will tell you he is an Enyimba legend Mention Mikel, and for all his own antics, a majority of Chelsea fans will call him a legend for helping them win their first ever UCL But Moses? Abeg stop rough play. Not one soul outside this thread has used the term 'legend' on Moses. Moses is no legend. 3 Likes |

Well, I feel Victor Moses has retired too early. He still has a lot to offer the team. He will be greatly missed because we lack quality wingers in the team But we must respect his decision and move on. Time for younger wingers to take to stage. 1 Like 1 Share |

gamaliel9:which high level European experience did Moses have when he first started playing for us? Zero Which high-level African experience did he have? Zero How many games did Moses play for us before AFCON? Was it up to 10? What are you people on about? Is it penalty takers we cannot find? Is it only Moses that can kick a ball into a mostly open net? It is ironic that Moses' best years in the GwG were when he was not a highly rated footballer. The SE threw him back into contention, his career was dwindling at a point, if he did not have the International caps, Moses would be struggling in the championships today. Let us not act like he did anyone but himself a favour by playing for this team, let us not act like he is so spectacular that there can be no other Moses when there are so many other players that are a Prime Moses right now |

Vic Moses will eventually be seen as a Legend as time goes by. If we're being objective, apart from Atlanta 96, can you really say Kanu has performed better for Nigeria than Vic Mo? Vic Moses has performed in Afcon, can you say the same about Kanu? Both have had lukewarm WC perfomances. If Kanu is seen as a legend, Vic Moses should too. Kanu had better club performances no doubt, but that's where it ends. 2 Likes |

andrew444:they can believe whatever they want, Na for their pocket o...... But any reasonable, sensible human being knows not to abuse the term 'legend' by giving Moses such a tag. Who Moses epp? Even other Africans will mention Iwobi before Moses in the Nigerian team today. 1 Like 1 Share |
