You know, its good to pay attention to your scores and be calculating it by yourself right from first year. Also, it's good to always check what you arrived at with what was penciled down for you in the school's result sheet, dont leave it for school alone to do for you.

I don't think the guy needs a 2.1 to make it in life. Considering the stress one goes through before coming out of school, I think fighting for what is yours ain't wrong. It may not be a first class but at least he sure did work for it.

I just concluded an online course from an American university. These foreign universities do assess their students properly. I scored 100% in my course including 80% of my colleagues. So tell me why Nigerian students who study there won't come back with good results?

Its not about job or fortune alone but the need for justice and actually getting what you worked for. Genuinely working for 1st or 2nd class upper is not a child's play, so anyone deserves to get commensurate result for his/her hardwork.

Graduated from a federal university, what i calculated as my GP is 3.63, what shows on my result is 3.49.

I dont even have strenght to hustle for the 2.1, lawyers, letters and co all just for a worthless degree. If i knew then what i know now i would be even more unserious with my studies. btw my course of study is nothing to note. We go make am without that degree but with our brains.

Well i took your advise and i decided to get a lawyer, first i tried doing it my self but the school was unresponsive. My lawyer wrote several letters to them including action to go to court if the CGPA is not recalculated.

Well, finally it has been recalculated after 4 years of graduation, formally it was 3.4, now it is 3.51 which second class upper division, i am so happy, although i have lost several opportunities because of this great error from Delta State university. i look into the positive light that everything happens for a reason.

Sue the school for negligence, recovery of your legal cost and damages arising from mental trauma and loss of employment opportunities.

This may be your prayer for breakthrough being answered

This is an expensive mistake.
Let your lawyer advise you please but I really think you should go further and sue them for real.

Unfortunately, most of the firms who ask for 2:1 also have an age limit. You want to say that you are not above 26 years old now after 4 years? That means you will go and do affidavit. Also, you still have to be connected with someone who is a management level employee. Ojoro cancel photo.

You are right. I've always been too lazy to do the calculations myself though. I just waited till the beginning of the next session to check with my course adviser.

am also having similar challenge as well. Am a final year student of federal university otuoke, Bayelsa state. recently our results came out and I scored 4.17 on my GPA and previously I was on 3.95 and only 2 was added and my new Cgpa became 3.97,i complained, I was told computer can do no wrong tabulation while I was supposed to be on 4.06.this lackadaisical behavior is in every institutions

i got a lawyer, actually it was two different lawyers, one first wrote to them and they failed to respond, the lawyer was too relaxed so i decided to get another lawyer, who took the case seriously. it took him about seven months to get a reaponse from the school. it took alot of time and money because i had to pay the lawyer.
