BascoVanVeli: Well, that is it. State FAs mostly depend on state government's funding. He who pays the piper dictates the tune but I don't think FIFA has any issues with state government appointing State FA chairmen. What FIFA cares more about is the national FA. |

andrew444: The man played for Watford between 2014 and 2017. Ighalo played in the WC and failed AFCON qualifiers (2015/2016). He scored a penalty against Chad. That was his only competitive goal in 6 competitive appearances between 2015 and 2016. He started all those games except the Chad game. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by BascoVanVeli(m): 1:47pm On Aug 18, 2018 |
Icon4s: The national FA is funded by federal government it is the same thing. If FIFA wants to be fair they would ensure the whole thing is completely taken out of the hands of the government. |

tbaba1234: He wasn't called against Tanzania in the away leg and CHAD pulled out so there was no second match. |

tbaba1234: He started playing for eagles 2015,ighalo was in watford 2014 when they are in the championship,he scored 20 championship goals during their promotion campaign and he was not even invited then till 2015 Eagles appearance for ighalo In 2015 he played 7 matches and scored 2 goals in 2016 5 matches and 1 goal in 2017 3 games and 1 goal in 2018 which is this year, which makes him a flop he played 7 matches and no goals Even our so called nacho who everybody love is yet to score a goal for the eagles this 2018,Nacho has played 6 matches this 2018 and he is yet to score |

Fifa and Nigeria stand off. 48 hours more. Chris Giwa the Nigerian revolutionary standing toe to toe against the govt and Fifa who have both tried to bully him. If all Nigerians could stand up for justice and fight for what they believe is true. Chris singlehandedly sponsored a local team to the npfl from ground up. He invested his time and money for soccer development. This is not about stealing people's joy but living a lasting legacy and example for how people should stand up and fight against any act of injustice. Standing up against the DSS, the president and VP, FIFA and the people who don't see the big picture. But sha oga Chris, our people will not understand you and the fight for political emancipation and freedom from colonialism you are fighting for. Let's leave them alone and just collect your SHARE of the wc windfall apart from court fees and all. You have tried oga Chris. Here is calling on Amaju to do the needful, be a cheerful giver. 2 Likes |

BascoVanVeli: If you are not satisfied with an employee, you might decide to sack the person. It does mean you hate the employee. It means you want results in your business. If Ighalo starts producing regularly for Nigeria, then he win public support but so far, he hasn't. There is no running away from this. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by tbaba1234: 1:58pm On Aug 18, 2018 |
andrew444: Ighalo has only scored 2 competitive goals for Nigeria. One was a penalty. The other was against Cameroun in the WCQ. When it matters, he simply does not produce. 2 Likes |

Icon4s:I honestly can't understand Odegbami at times. In the past he has contested for NFF sec Gen, NFF chairman, recently threw his hat in the ring for FIFA presidency and now he's a governorship aspirant. These are just the few I can recall. Someone should advice him to aspire for one thing and stick to it. He could actually end up getting the seat instead of aspiring for any position up for grabs just like he's doing. Doesn't show him in good light to be honest. |

One thing i love about the beautiful game is dont judge a player club form with national team form. They are like night and day. Love him. Dislike him. One thing is that at the club there is a stucture that support his style of play. Add to dat is always perfected in training wich cannot be said of national team. Hence most player strugle even to score andrew444: |

KC is just like me, I don't like it when people take my seat. Sigh of relief, things back to normal, he has his seat again. |

do4luv14: Keshi, Oliseh and Rohr could not find a way to use him?? I disagree. Ighalo had one major season with Watford then went on an almighty goal drought. The players in Watford did not change. The style of play did not change. The man simply could not score. The quality of defenders, he is facing in Chinese league is not particularly high. |

Taliban: I don't understand this mentality. If you want to join an organization then abide by the rules of that organization. This isn't even about politics it's common sense. Giwa took part in an election where most of the delegates/voters were absent. They complained, a new election was scheduled, most delegates were present, Amaju emerged successful. Giwa took his grievances to CAF and for whatever reason he was unsuccessful. He has been acting out ever since, has obtained a ban from FIFA, and was relatively quiet until Dalung came on board. Everything is not about people blocking your success and colonialism. If you want to stand for something, stand for something right. Giwa himself sought to benefit from an unfair situation and it has simply backfired. If your argument is that the NFF was harsh in dealing with him that would make more sense. This is not about Giwa fighting for injustice or sovereignity, it is about a grown man throwing a selfish tantrum. |

You keep 4getting its only dec 25 thats xmas. But i will like jst to ask. During the era of the coaches you list. Do we had a DEENEY to support him. Or an OKAZAKI. From the flanks. Still do we had a flores. To guide him in training. Finally if the china league defence is not strong how come. Even CARLOS tEVEZ who tear thing up for both manchester club is finding it hard to score as our own IGHALO? tbaba1234: |

tbaba1234: He scored 15 epl goals when last did a nigerian striker did that since the days of yakubu? The players of watford did not changed but the form of the players changed and they changed about 3 coaches a season. Since ighalo lost form what has troy deeney been playing? Troy deeney scored 14 goals that same season ighalo scored 15,after then he has turned to a player who normall score 5 goals a seaon |

andrew444: What happened after that season? He was a one season wonder in England. He went on an almighty drought. He could not buy a goal. That is why he was sold to China. A striker who has gotten only 1 competitive goal in open play since 2015 is not the future of our strike force. I hope he does well in his China and earns as much money as possible but he simply does not produce for Nigeria. |

I would had said since naija started play in the EPL. Have forgotten how many goals KANU score in a single season. In either gunners. Pompey. Or baggies? andrew444: |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by tbaba1234: 3:10pm On Aug 18, 2018 |
do4luv14: Deeney was available in England when Ighalo's goals dried up. What happened to Deeney and Okazaki then? Ighalo was a one season wonder in England. Carlos Tevez was 33 when he went to china. Definitely far from the prime of his career. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by andrew444(m): 3:13pm On Aug 18, 2018 |
tbaba1234: What is happening to troy deeney now? he was almost sold. For your information ighalo scored 2 goals before he was sold to china january. I will not call him a 1 season wonder, players drop form, what makes you think he will not score more goals if he continue at watford as that january? You will never see that because you hate him so much. Yes ighalo is not good in the green eagles jersey But i know you prefer players from the back water leagues to be invited I also know you are yet to notice nacho is yet to score for the eagles this year. |

tbaba1234: Lol 33 and went to china and could not score against to weak defenders right? Yet a 35 year old zlatan ibrahimovic score 16 EPL goals in a strong english league. Your excuse now is age lol even 33 old obafemi martins is scoring for fun in china,he has even scored hatrick twice before his current injury But tevez could not score because he was 33 Clap for your self |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by andrew444(m): 3:17pm On Aug 18, 2018 |
do4luv14: Yeah but they praise players from back water league who are not even good enough, thats why they want all oyinbo to be invited to the eagles, including the one who is yet to score 10 career goals as a striker. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by DrLikita12(f): 3:19pm On Aug 18, 2018 |
do4luv14: I don't understand why people are trying to make a hero out of this man. The reality is that Nigeria is like this because of this "sit-tight" mentality. No one wants to let go, you know you lost, just go. They won't. When they eventually agree to go they leave their godsons behind so they are essentially still there. |
