He never implied they are the same course. It's obviously not same. Do you need to bring your supremacy entitlement into this. I think what he meant is this;
They all lead to the same end and goal(change human lives) All Doctors. Same body inducts them. Same salary. Same entitlements. Similar curriculum, except that dental students write total of six professional exams, including 2nd mb, 3rd mb, 5th mb (which students of medicine write). While medicine students write 4.

So, they are obviously not same.
smile, I get ur logic at the last statement.

To Scholars,
Someone is in need of enlightenment on the issue of Direct entry processes.
He doesn't have a clue, and He needs your advice from A to Z.
In fact, He wants to obtain DE to either Med Lab Sci / Medicine into either UI or UNILAG

all health sciences including pharmacy offer the same course in year one with just slight differences, maybe one or two courses per semester. For pharmacy students, they are allowed to fail a total of 4 credit load that's for both semester but they must be borrowed courses like GST, Computer programmin etc, else they'll repeat year one.
hi,please does unizik offer Direct entry to study medicine?

Good day guys pls does anyone knows if ui runs jupeb or any federal university in the west that runs the program for dentistry
Well OAU offers it but dentistry has currently lost its accreditation but according to the school it should be resolved come the next accreditation period which is around November. So if you want to risk it you can. Our VC is a dentist so that should be incentive enough to believe it will be resolved as they have stated.

Hi, medics and aspirant in the house.
Please help me as to what school to choose. I'm thinkin of choosing unical for dentistry and oou for medicine and surgery.
I'm preparing to write jamb this year however medicine and surgery is my passion. I'm just choosing dentistry in UNICAL so I I can increase my chances of getting admission come 2019.
I just hope I'm making a wise decision or what state admission is easier to gain admission into given that I get a very good jamb and post utme score
Thanks,
Nnamdi.

Chairman, I'd advise you not to pick dentistry if you don't have the drive for it. And don't see it as a Substitute for Medicine.. to prevent stories that touch.

Some 500L students here that couldn't cope anymore voluntarily withdrew from the faculty due to frustration.

Its very very wrong to choose a course because of your "chances of gaining admission".
If Medicine is your *PASSION*, just choose a good school that might favour you in terms of catchment too, and channel all your efforts into it. Second choice slot is as good as empty; unless you apply to a Private university.

All the best Sir

Be a Professional Freelance Writer and Earn Online
One part of being a medical student is finance. Yeah..The cost of having to buy Keith Moore and the likes, not to mention lecture materials which we sometimes end up not reading. I have been a freelance writer for years now and I can tell you, it has really helped a lot in the area of finance. At least I get to reduce the financial burden on my parents.

Anyway though, I have found out, with time, that most students are oblivious of this fact. Hence, I have decided to start an online writing course which will teach whosoever interested, the rudiments of writing, from the basics, to the professional level.

The course also covers how you can earn online as a writer, even from our very own nairaland. Yes, I got most of my clients via nairaland. The course is going to cost a fee of #2500. I can't paste the group invite link here. If you are interested you can contact me on whatsapp via @07030438383.

I think y'all should take this course. Succeeding is not about books, Nigeria doesn't help. You can be richer than your consultant as a student. Be smart.

In addition to what Bobola said, choosing dentistry when you know you're not ready for it might end up disastrous

If I were in your shoes, I would choose a federal university that has my state in her catchment, relax my mind and study hard for the exams.

given the fact that most state universities give upper hand to indigenes, your chance of getting admission maybe as good as someone who chose competitive fed. Univ. So consider some other factors before making the move.
Good luck.
