Good afternoon everyone,

I will be keeping this as brief as possible.

My cousin registered for and wrote JAMB this year. When the result was published, he went on to check it. We were glad that he had a scoreline of 200. And since he applied Federal University Lafia, we knew that his chances of getting admitted was high albeit he passes his post UTME.

Fast forward to when it was time to register for online screening through the school's portal. He tried and tried since the procedure involves using your registration number and State of Origin as both username and password to access the portal. The portal kept redirecting him to the home page until he decided to check his JAMB result again.

That was the shocker! He discovered that his scoreline has moved from 200 to 153. A total of 47 marks deducted without notification through text or mail. He is shock and stuck as to what to do. He has gone to JAMB headquarters in Abuja and they told him there is nothing they can do about it.

Please, I want the appropriate quarters to help. The closing date for registration is tomorrow. We are hoping it will be extended by a week in case of students that are finding it difficult to register.

Did any student who wrote the last UTME and is on this platform experience the same issue? How were you able to rectify it?

Please help my cousin...

They've gone there. They said they cannot do anything about it or it was a mistake.

Foxyflow, Did He Screenshot Or Print Out The Result Page?
For Him To Be Taken Seriously He Must Have Concrete Evidence. Although I Have Not Heard Of Such I Believe That Should Be A Starting Point.

The screenshots of his results are what I posted up there. The same registration number with two different grades.

Went to their office in osogno where I got the form, was told to write a letter and attach all relevant documents I.e exam slip and both result printouts. They later asked that I copy their regional and national head offices, I did. Then came the waiting. When nothing was coming out of it after about six months, I jejely carry myself go another school. Monotechnic sha but I don't regret it. Some things are blessings in disguise.

I don't want to sound as a pessimistic person but this stuff will not be rectified.

I know why I'm saying this

There is no harm in following it up o, Just that, the money and time it will cost you ehn, no be here. You will surely need to get a very sound lawyer, and then start waiting for court proceedings like kilode. At the end of the day, it won't be useful for this year's admission anymore and your cousin will have to still take another jamb

This is serious. Only a legal approach will solve this problem cos those front desk staff will just discourage you with their attitude towards customers.
