Gabriel is a prolific striker and has proven himself everywhere and babatunde is very creative and and experienced. You need to watch performance against Memolodi Sundowns in CCL. Wydad Casablanca is currently the highest rated club in Africa. Babatunde is currently their hit man.

I doubt u indeed saw that match u referenced. Dude could hardly touch the ball. As an attacking midfielder, was he able to create any notable chance in that match? D boy legs no dey touch ball sef and wen it finally did, he didnt know wot to do wt dem. Abeg forget Babatunde

Odey is coming into his own at FC Zurich this season. I pray he keeps this up and soon the likes of Basel or a better team may come for him. I saw the news of his brace hours before now and was so overjoyed for him. Still following up on his goals showing in the Super Cup game. Hopes he keeps the flag flying. wink

Even Afeez Aremu keeps doing well for IK start. He started and had a decent game at the base of a Midfield three. Adeleke Akinyemi (jersey no 77) also played. smiley

Odey wants to be a successful footballer and that is the difference between him and alot of guys. I watched an interview he gave on supersports and it was clear to see that he wasn't happy with last season. So far so good for the lad.

Afeez is a guy that I personally miss watching. The best DMF to come out of Nigeria in a while, we called him Sergio Busquets in Uyo. I am not surprised at all by his success, I just hope they both make timely and reasonable moves.

same thing you guys said when I suggested 3-5-2 for world Cup. Bet me before the end of this year One of will be invited. You guys don't follow African football. You think that African football is like NPFL? Africa has left Nigeria in backwardness. South Africa defeated us in Uyo with 80% home based players. U need to start watching CCL.most leagues in Africa are better than some leagues in Europe.

You have a point. That Nigerian squad that almost gave Atletico Madrid a run for it's money was made of probably 65% homebased players. I think we should experiment by throwing more home based players into the mix and then see where we can go from there.

Athletico Madrid second team that was on vacation. Athletico scored whenever they raised their level a bit. Do not read too much into that game. Nwakali, the stand out player is now playing for Porto B in the second division of Portugal and in two games, he has not shown anything.

Yes, but the fact that they were able to play well against a elite footballing organization like AM tells me something. I didn't mean have home-based players dominate the Super Eagles. My keyword was experiment.

People like you are the reason why Nigerians coaches fail

For your information none of those players that played against ATM deserved to be invited and none should be invited

Are you kidding me ? So you want Porto B player to be a super eagles player ? Name a good national team that such happen ?

Wake up from your dream,it seems many of you are carried away by the ATM match.

Him dey follow fire. That match wey him dey claim say him watch, I can tell u say na lie, he didnt watch that ball.

I sat down to see the match because I love the two teams, and I can tell u with what that guy said about Babatunde, him no watch the ball. A boy that was yanked off for his below average performance, na him, Dat guy dey praise.

That aside, men Sundowns are now a shadow of themselves with loenardo, Dolly, Bhiliat and Tau gone. They aint as daring as they used to be, no more.

Update concerning the situation of the Nigeria Football Federation

(FIFA.com) 20 Aug 2018

Following the decision of the Bureau of the FIFA Council of 13 August 2018 concerning the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), FIFA received confirmations that the legitimate leadership of the NFF under President Amaju Melvin Pinnick and General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi has been given back effective control of the NFF and its offices.

In view of these circumstances, FIFA deems that the conditions set by the decision of the Bureau of the FIFA Council have now been met and consequently the suspension of the NFF will not take effect.

FIFA will continue to closely monitor the situation in order to ensure that FIFA’s rules and regulations are fully adhered to.
