Hello guys,I got into the US about a week ago. It was a long stressful flight. I fell sick a day before my trip. Couldn't cancel cos I thought I could manage it,.I regret not cancelling. . Emirates is cool, but I thought Airbus 380 were meant to be spacious. Jeez! The leg room isn't spacious enough. Aircraft filled up,e remain make they sell toilet seat. I was restless from Dubai to NY. Maybe cos I was sick. I expected so many questions, but got few. I observed all of them, saw a very tired looking guy and joined his queue . Here; Cbp ,, What do you do and why are you here? Me,, I am a civil servant and i also run a **** company, and im here For business (told him the business I came for) Cbp,, How much you got for it? Me,, I have 7k$ Cbp,, But that's not enough money for the business Me,, I got my credit card here . (For my mind 'You dey crase,How much you get?') Cbp,, Where would you be staying? Me,,mentioned the hotel. Handed me my passport, and said ,'welcome to America ' I went to pick my luggage. A guy helped me drag it out the roller, cos I couldn't. I was really sick and dizzy. Guess what? I got duped of my hard earned 700$ by a Pakistani or Indian motherfvckers. ,can't tell. My heart is burning as I write this. This only happened because I was sick and didn't know what was going on. Open your eyes, guys. Humanity is fvcked. Bad guys everywhere. I think New York is over hyped.I spent 3 nights instead of the planned 1,cos I needed to recover. Meanwhile, before I return to Naija, i will get my stolen money back from this America . I shall WORK .Thunder fire them! 11 Likes 1 Share |

Chriscero: To be honest I see no problem here so far you have good intention for visiting US and you have plan to return as at when stated. I will advise you to give a good reason for not visiting U.S when you're not suppose to. 1 Like |

Activedreamer: From my experience I have come to realize that the Immigrants (first generation Asians, Indians, Lebanese etc) are the ones you need to be very careful about. The ones with thick accent. They don’t have the American culture in them. They are quick to make a buck off you if you are ignorant, they are the ones that will most likely subtlely urge you to move faster when you are walking on the zebra crossing, they are the ones that will be watching you when you walk into their shop, they are the ones that will give you their call card so you call them when you need a cab thereby cutting off the company they are working for, They are the ones that will not want to give you change. So when dealing with them always be on your gaurd. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Chriscero: I don't know what they did to the meter thing that made me see 227$. From the airport to Manhattan. I was furious, but needed to get going. Gave him 300,only for him to return it,saying I gave him 3$. I couldn't do anything, I gave him another 300$. He came down to help bring out my luggage. When I stepped out of the car, my waist bag dropped in his car. He picked it,asking me to put it in my box, before bad guys snatch it. Acting all nice asking me to take care of my health. I had 400$ inside an envelope stuck in the bag. The ID!OT took the money. I got to the hotel only to realise all that's happened. 3 Likes |

Chriscero:I don't think you should be worried. not using the visa is not an offense. for the Poe, Houston and Chicago in my opinion have overzealous CBP's . You can go thru New York if you're still worried 1 Like |

shrekandfiona: I tire for New york oooo.... the last time I was in NYC, we met a Ghanaian cab driver and he drove 3 of us to Ozone, Queens for $40 and still pay the airport toll from the fare, which I think is a good deal. 1 Like |

Activedreamer: I know that there are taxis that queue up to pick passengers at the airport. If it is one of the taxis you entered, you can contact the airport authority, describe the taxicab, describe the driver and time you entered the taxi. That way they can narrow down on the driver. It wouldn't cost you much, just a phone call and couple of mails. America is a place where compliants are looked at very well. You might even get your money back. 4 Likes |

Good Afternoon House, My husband and I were granted B1/B2 visitors visa in 2016 and in 2017 I gave birth in the US although we wrote to the embassy informing them of the change of plans. We paid all our bills and we have our zero balance. We sent our passport via Dropbox for our visa renewal but we were asked to come for an interview. No reason was ticked on the form. We are about to schedule our appointment, has anybody experienced this. Please advise Thanks. |
Re: U.S Visit: Port Of Entry Interview/stories. by Chriscero(m): 2:19pm On Aug 22, 2018 |
Annediniebimo20: Yes, my office colleague had a similar experience No biggy at all. Just go with ALL your receipts and correspondence with your doctor/the hospital and the embassy. They just want to be sure that you did not use child welfare and you have promptly settled all your bills. Some Nigerians think they are smart. They go for child delivery then since the child is a citizen, they utilize child welfare thinking that they have gamed the system. Unknown to them, upon expiration of their visas, they will NEVER set foot in the US again for the next 10 years. It is at interviews such as yours that they realise what they have done to themselves. 1 Like 1 Share |

Chriscero: How about if they were pregnant during the interview and never declared same, or if the visa was issued for another reason which they never honored but decided to send the now "worthless" change of intent letter to inform the embassy of their birthing plan, and worse still, how about if they didn't even declare child birth at the POE to the CBP? None of the above situation is good, it can turn their 221g follow-up interview to a disastrous situation by current standards at the embassy. When we hear their exact story starting from the visa interview itself, we may then be able to contribute to the matter at hand.... For now, the embassy just wants to know and assess what they were doing in the US for the length of time they spent in the US, and hopefully that wasn't even mistakenly more than 180 days. All the best to them. I will advise too that they move this their post to the birthing thread for better dissecting and advice! 1 Like |
