Ofodirinwa: Very articulate. They fear these northerners as if they have really achieved anything worth fearful and I think the origin of this fear sprouted from the Biafran war which the British actually forth to keep exploiting the ffoolish Nigerians...LMAO Like you rightly put, these other tribes are just as vulnerable as some of us if not more. For instance , the middle belt want out so much but they dont have the courage all they need is an opportunity for the Igbos to leave and they would rather join us than remain with North because I believe nobody really respect Igbo more than the middle belters....I was born and bred in Jos, Plateau. 1 Like |

hammer6F: You are wrong. War came to Anambra full time. From Onitsha through the old road, down to Awka. Remember the popular Abagana ambush? And the popular saying " Hausa abatago Awka". My family in Ogidi ran to Ojoto when the war came to Ogidi. It wasn't easy for any one. I guess you meant to say that the war didn't get to Nnewi. True, but this might be because Nnewi is not on a major road to any of the big Eastern cities then. I don't agree with everything Omambala says, for example, I for one think that for all the flaws inherent in nnamdi Kanu, he was altruistic and no Igbo man should insult or denigrate his sacrifices. He fought the injustice we all suffer the way he could, he is a young man like us all, he refused to be bribed or compromised by the powers that be. if any one of us think he can do better than Nnamdi Kanu, let the person step into the spotlight, abandon his daily activities and carry the Igbo/Biafran cross by acting on those lofty plans and ideas they have. It's easy to be a writer/talker, but to be a doer takes guts. Nnamdi Kanu placed Biafra and Igbo independence struggle right in national and international discussion tables. He opened up new channels for us. He rekindled the dying flames of Biafra in most of us. He got us believing that we can emancipate ourselves from the British colonial contraption we are trapped in, he is not without his flaws, but he had played his role, and he did so vigorously and incorruptibly. And most importantly, through Nnamdi Kanu failures, we now know atleast one more method by which we can't achieve Biafra. His failures made most of us, understand that Pan Igbo country is the only way out, and that the old Biafra, ie defunct Eastern region is dead and buried and can never be revived, now we would nolonger dissipate useful energy on that. Out of the ashes of Nnamdi Kanu multiethnic Biafra, we are now building a Pan Igbo Biafra. That to me, is progress. And for this alone, NK deserves our respect. 17 Likes 1 Share |

B2mario: OUK greed, took away the PPA opportunity from Ndiigbo. Uche Ekwunife was flying the PPA flag gallantly then, and had it been OUK had the best for Ndiigbo at heart, and not greed, Ohakim would not have defected to PDP, Imo and Abia would have witnessed tremendous infrastructural development that would have made the option of PPA as an Igbo party, attractive to other SE states. The post civil war story of Ndiigbo, had been a story of dearth of Igbo nation patriotic, competent and strategic leaders. 1 Like |

I think and I really suffice to say at this point that Igboland needs an active militia group or armed organization(advisably an underground one). Nnamdi Kanu seemed to have had the framework for that going with the extent of organization and vigilante spirit he brought to the East with his Biafran security service, but then reduced it to a mere boys scout parade when he failed to see that one opportunity to actually build a defense force(getting arms was never going to be a problem, lots of arm dealers and middle men suppliers/smugglers that operate in the Niger delta are Igbos)... all NK had to do was liase with Niger delta militant groups and establish secret training camps in the much secure creeks of the delta. A badly missed opportunity I must say... if we had a militia on the standby-armed, trained and ready... the rubbish we saw with fulani bastards daring to encroach on any part of Igboland would have seen their dead bodies piled up, or the useless Nigerian Army daring to harass our people and even arrest women who are old enough to be their mothers... a major insult to Igboland. We need to really have a secret whatsapp group or platform where we can seriously discuss this things. With election looming ahead, there will be a lot of ethno-religious tensions that might spill over to violence on Igbos in the North (God forbid), but what if it happens? will Igbos have a defense system? Are we going to keep folding our hands as the useless Nigerian thugs in uniform invade the peace of the East with thier deceitful python dance sequels, when we know it's just another opportunity for them to harass innocent people... Go to the east and see the way soldiers proliferate every square foot mile of Igboland with illegal checkpoints, you will think we are still at war... but we all know the East is probably the safest place to be save for pockets of kidnapping (we can handle that if we have a Igbo defence force whether civil or military type). Umu Nnem let's talk more about the security of Igboland, let's look critically at the matter, mobilizing the man power to defend Igboland isn't the problem, just the means to the end... and we are more than capable of funding the means, boys full ground and I mean boys that have the heart to fuvk Sh.it up if need be. |

mightguy: Unfortunately, this comment is not true. Concrete roads are not as costly as other roads but trust the Nigerian system to over inflate every contract cost to corruptly enrich themselves while the masses suffer. Dave Umahi has done hundreds upon hundreds of concrete roads in every corner of Ebonyi state and still doing more. Quality cement? Wait till Nigercem restarts. 3 Likes |
