Talent no dey hide. Nigeria's best front man UEFA Names Onyekuru Among Key Champions League Stars To Look Out For This Season 0 August 21, 2018 12:06 pm By Adeboye Amosu: UEFA has listed Nigerian forward, Henry Onyekuru among the star players that will make huge impact in the Champions League this season, Completesportsnigeria. com reports. Onyekuru is on loan at Turkish champions Galatasaray from English Premier League side, Everton. The highly rated striker has settled down well at his new club and opened his goal account in the Fathi Terim’s team’s 1-0 win against Goztepe in the Turkish Super League last Sunday. “One to watch this season? Henry Onyekuru ❤️#UCL,” reads a tweet on UEFA Champions League official Twitter handle. This is the first time Onyekuru will be featuring in the UEFA Champions League. He only linked up with Everton from Belgian club, KAS Eupen last season but was immediately loaned out to Anderlecht. He picked up a knee injury while in action for Anderlecht against his former club, Eupen in December and didn’t made an appearance again. The injury also put an end to his chances of fighting for a place in Nigeria’s squad to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. 9 Likes 2 Shares |

Icon4s: The stadiums are all owned by the government so how can you say no other club has their own stadium? Is Enyimba now a private club? You may be able to say no other private club has their own but I am not so sure about that sef. Enyimba won 2 champions league trophies and have not come close since let's be honest. As for producing players Akwa has provided no less than 8 players for 3 national teams in the past year and you don't see me running naked about it. |

Plus Enyimba has been ever present in CAF Competitions whether as NPFL Champions or being among the top finishers. Which one Akwa United dey? You cannot compare the calibre of players Enyimba has produced over the years to your Akwa United players (where dem even dey now sef). Nobody stops you from running about naked . Every fan has a bragging right about his club. Please I chose to brag about Enyimba,if you dont want to brag about Akwa United allow me to brag about Enyimba in Peace. 1 Like |

Whomever drew up this list must be high on kia kia. So Daniel Amokachie didn't make the list? Emmanuel Okala only made a reserve list? Listen, Victor Moses made it as wingback ... ahead of even the legendary Yisa Shofoluwe Ben Iroha didn't make the list? Henry Nwosu didn't make the list either? Joseph Yobo made it ahead of Taribo West or even Christian Chukwu?? Listen, there are so many things wrong with this selection. If we want to talk about Nigeria's greatest squad, then there should be only ONE criteria: their performances in the SUPER EAGLES team. Not performances in the EPL or any Euro, not in the performances in any age grade team but performances in the SUPER EAGLES. Hence, that criteria would knock out the likes of Kanu Nwankwo, Peter Rufia, and Celestine Babayaro from the list. O pari Icon4s: 1 Like |

Abeg who has this man's twitter handle, IG or facebook account if at all he has any Nigeria’s Minister for Sports, Solomon Dalung, has reacted to the intervention of the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo which saved Nigeria from being suspended by FIFA on Monday. FIFA had threatened to suspend Nigeria from all her activities after the Amaju Pinnick-led executive board was prevented from carrying out its duties at the NFF. However, the sanction was averted after Osinbajo, in a letter to the world football governing body, declared the government’s support for the Pinnick-led board. But Dalung, in a press statement on Tuesday, has said the issue cannot be resolved with short-term measures, insisting that the matter has a subsisting judgement of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. “This crisis cannot be solved with a temporary measure or scratched on the surface. The intervention of the Vice President should not be viewed as different from an attempt to abate an escalating situation. “As a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, who took oath of office to protect and defend the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I will prefer to stand with the Rule of Law instead of the opinion of men. I believe we shall overcome this if we remain within the confines and dictates of the laws of our country. “As we celebrate Sallah, let’s remain law-abiding citizens,” Dalung said. http://dailypost.ng/2018/08/21/nff-crisis-dalung-insists-supreme-court-judgement-says-osinbajos-intervention-temporary/amp/ (Quote) (Report) (Like) (Share) |

Nna, no vex o. I am just shocked with the folks at HITC Sports for some unforgiveable omission. I mean, they carry names like Yakubu Ayegbeni ahead of the legendary Segun Odegbami. Joseph Yobo ahead of Chairman Chukwu and even Taribo West. Yisa Shofoluwe nowhere on the list. Ben Iroha nowhere on the list. Yisa and Ben Iroha were two players ahead of their time. They revolutionized FB cum Wingback play in Nigeria. Even Sunday Eboigbe and Henry Nwosu ought to make Nigeria's all time best. I think those folks were ignored or downgraded just because they didn't play in Europe, forgetting that that wasn't the norm during their time. O pari Icon4s: |

Icon79: Tbaba1234 made a vital point that the fellow that made that list may actually be a young person. Besides, lack of well documented videos about the great old players may also have played a role. I also expected to see '' chairman'' Christian Chukwu and Adokiye Amiesimaka on the list. |

This is what I saw written in the Turkish press about Henry Onyekuru. The match-winning performance was enough to place him on the back of national newspaper Vatan with the headline: 'Ne Dolar kuru... Ne Euro kuru... Hoş geldin Onyekuru' which translates (according to Google) as 'No dollar exchange rate, no euro exchange rate, welcome to Onyekuru. |

Oh my, pardon me but there is nothing more to describe placing Victor Moses as the Messiah and as the alpha & Omega of the Super Eagles in his six year stint while deriding Mikel and others as villains as "Childish". Infact, the truth is you started sounding like Solomon Dalung... Lol. Dalung is known for making preposterous comments. Saying Moses was the all in all of the Super Eagles is not only preposterous but also synonymous with a Dalung comment. Please don't be a disciple. forgiveness: 4 Likes 1 Share |

Now here is one player (in no.9) more than worthy of the tag "Legend" when his career winds down in the Super Eagles colors. Truth is he is already an active legend even as Team Captain. The word "legend" is not to be abused Biko. Icon4s: 4 Likes 1 Share |

Icon4s: Lol... Nigeria is truly being insulted everyday by having such neanderthals in power. Are we that low-brained as a people to have such a man as our sports minister? You see why it is important to have really sound intellectuals show interest in the political game of their nation... It is not enough to be wise and intelligent and gifted with the technical know-how. Without power, influence won't be exerted. It is a dangerous thing having power fall into the hands of idiots. Lol.. Nigeria My Nation. It is well. 3 Likes 1 Share

The person playing the role of agent to Victor Osimhen is really doing that boy's career no good at all. Can you imagine this nonsense?! Such a beautiful talented player having his value going down by the minute. First it was Zulte Waregem rejecting Osimhen because of his Injury record. Now it is Club Brugge saying no to a deal for him because they could not reach an agreement with Wolfsburg on who foots the loan bills and other variables. And at Wolfsberg, his chances will be soooooooo limited. Wolfsburg acquired a Big Target Man in Wout Weghorst, a giant of a striker from AZ I think? I hope Osimhen does not go to waste. Too much talent is in that kid waiting to explode. I hope his career heads in the right direction soonest because right now, his reputation is on a low as he has not been given enough chances to show his stuff. I still believe in the lad but I am afraid even my belief in his talents won't do him any good if he doesn't make the right move and soon enough too. See what another observer said about Osimhen's situation... From @biolakazeem: "Victor Osimhen must have the worst agents in the history of football. To have such a young player on the books on Wolfsburg so devalued just by failing to control the narrative is tragic. That boy's reputation is in tatters. All a footballer sells is reputation. Nothing else." Note: Josip Brekalo (remember him?) Is in the Wolfsburg team now. He is making good progress. Brekalo starred against us at Chile 2015 U-17 WC and scored against us in that third group game in which we lost 2-1. Brekalo and Moro were the heroes that day for their displays. Osimhen also scored that day. Now, Brekalo is doing his thing at Wolfsburg while Osimhen still struggles for relevance no thanks to his previous injuries and low quality gametime. 1 Like 1 Share |

Marco Silva and Everton should please LET Ademola Lookman GO!!! They bought Bernard and Richarlison and still have Walcott on their books. They also haven't sold Bolasie yet. Their options on the flanks is enormous. Lookman would likely struggle to break into this Everton XI. RB Leipzig made a bid of £22 million for Lookman but Everton said no. Imagine that!!! Anyway, I hear Everton await more bids (higher than 22 Million I assume) for Lookman before the August 31 deadline. I hope a breakthrough for him pulls through coz he needs quality playing time abeg. Too good for the bench even though he is still young. 2 Likes |

Enyimba is living off borrowed pride from their past success. Push comes to shove they are like the rest of the teams. So as of now even Lobi stars senior you |
