Please for people that applied via paper route, how do you know when you have a medical request? Tracking an application through the vfs page with the cala number and it just shows application is being processed.

Maybe you should share your profile in detail so that you can get get a first hand correction, maybe there maybe one or two things you didn't do right. Did you pay tuition, did you have home tie, your sponsor or were you self sponsor......and some other documents

They tell you 10 working days at submission point but it's less. It varys I'd say. I mailed vfs on the 4th working day to enquire and was told it ready for pick up.

Chill... It's not even up to 24hrs yet. You'd get your bio mail. Some takes up to 4days or more to receive bio mail.

Mightyola how far bro, did you defer? Mailed the school to tell them I might be late for resumption as I just submitted my passport on Monday but did not get a response from them. The emails I sent to are below.

I sent emails to aonar@fanshawec.ca and intafrica@fanshawec.ca

Modified: I requested for extension till the 10th of September and Aysem replied Almost immediately (early morning).

@jnyuwa02 @bbclue @mcobex and the other house mate pls am in need of your help am 27year pls can my Age be behind my refusal (27 years old going for bachelor degree)
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Wheyme: 6:51am On Aug 22, 2018
Long texts ahead!!!
This is a sample of the Letter of Explanation addressing my initial refusal..I hope this helps

LETTER OF EXPLANATION
In response to my previous study permit refusal: “I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status”.
I am aware that securing an admission to pursue a master’s degree program is definitely going to require some financial obligations. In order to prove that I will be able to meet up with my financial responsibilities, I have attached with this application the following documents:
1. Proof of supervisor funding ($20,000/year)
2. Proof of International graduate bursary stated on acceptance letter ($2,400/year)
3. Money in my savings account of 8,000Euros($12,093)
4. Letter and declaration of co-sponsor from uncle stating that he will be responsible for miscellaneous expenses that I might incur during my study.
Cost of studies : $16,118 (For first year)
Living costs : $10,000 (For one year)
Funds available : $34,500
PS: The conversion rate of 1 Euro = 1.5117CAD$ on 9th August, 2018.
Regarding my home tie, I have no reason not to return to my home country, Nigeria after my program. As I have stated in my statement of purpose, the cancer mortality rate of my people is high due to poorly skilled scientists and research experts in the field of oncology. So also the technology for early cancer detection is lacking. Thus, the knowledge and research methodologies gained in the course of my program will be channeled to carrying out collaborative research in institutes like National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR) & National Center For Genetic Resources & Biotechnology (NACGRAB) and also my home undergraduate university, so that I can contribute my own quota to the development of better prophylactic, managerial and even therapeutic strategies against these deadly cancer diseases.
Another reason is the fact that there are assets that I and my sister have inherited from my late father in Nigeria which requires that I have to be there to properly manage them. Please find attached in this application the following documents proving this:
……
I also have my own landed property situated at …. And as such, I cannot leave all these assets to waste away. Please find attached in this application the following document to prove this:
1. Deed of contract document...
As earlier stated, there is a shortage of trained research experts in the field of oncology in my country; therefore, the cutting-edge research skills and methodologies acquired during my intended course of study will be highly applicable in the health and research sector. I have also seen opportunities from different research institutes especially my home university,.. and NAFDAC where I have a year work experience as a …Moreover, I am eager to work with these institutes as they are reputable institutions that are in line with my career goals. Please find attached in this application the following document to support this claim:
1. Company recommendation letter
2. My NYSC certificate
Lastly, at the completion of my program, I desire to return to my beloved family members (my sister, my mum and grandparents) as I am actively bonded to them especially my grandparent since I spent most of my childhood years with them.
Thank you for your time in considering my application and going through all the documents.
Sincerely,

That is part of the reason, at 27 starting university. You have to have a very convincing SOP proving you really want to be a genuine student. You have some 8+ years study gap is my my beleive.
