What must be, must be. There aint no guarantee he would av been better off in Arsenal. Joining Arsenal would have denied him that benefit of being within the corridor of first team football at this very young age of his, KC Nwakali is a case study.

It's just

Is KC Nwakali not better off where he is than Osimhen?

Samuel Kalu a lock for Super Eagles call up for Afcon qualifiers
Colin Udoh, Football Editor, KweséESPN

Bordeaux forward Samuel Kalu is expected to be the leading new inclusion when Gernot Rohr names his Nigeria squad this week ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in September.
Rohr told KweséESPN that the 20-year-old is very likely to be in the squad, which will be named this week ahead of the match on 8 September.
"Kalu will probably be in the squad. I have been watching him and I saw him play again this week," Rohr said.
Kalu, an explosive winger with pace to burn, joined the French side from Gent during the summer transfer window in an 8 million Euro deal, but has been on Rohr's radar for a while.
"[But] I've never selected him," Rohr said last month. "I saw him play for his team. I took Moses Simon, who has been in my group for two years."
With Victor Moses' retirement from the Super Eagles, the 20-year-old is now set to step into the breach.
Also expected to be in with a chance of a call is the highly-rated former FK Ventspils forward Adeleke Akinyemi, who recently moved to IK Start.
Galatasaray's Henry Onyekuru, who was a lock for the World Cup squad before an unfortunate ACL injury, is also expected to make a return.
Nigeria travel to Seychelles for the second match of their qualifying campaign. The Super Eagles lost their match day one fixture 2-0 at home to South Africa.

Three youngsters on the cusp of a Super Eagles spot
By Colin Udoh, Football Editor, KweséESPN

During the hullabaloo over the NFF leadership crisis, Nigeria's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles next month has flown under the radar.

Nigeria's Super Eagles, who trail Libya and South Africa after a
home loss to Bafana Bafana last June, have little margin for error on 8 September.

The retirement of Victor Moses, long term injury to wingback Tyronne Ebuehi, and slight injury to captain John Obi Mikel (who is recovering and played last weekend for his Chinese club) present challenges for Gernot Rohr's squad as they seek the road win that will get them back into contention.

Rohr is seeing a rash of young talent coming through, some of whom have made good progressive moves this transfer window. Three of these could sneak a place in the squad.

Samuel Kalu

Kalu is by far the most likely of all three to get a call. The forward is one of the most highly-rated young players in Europe. Such is the esteem in which he is held that Girondins Bordeaux forked out 8 million euros to have him replace Malcom, who was acquired by Barcelona.
The 20-year -old is quick, he is powerful, and is that rare dying breed, an old-fashioned winger who can hug the touchline and deliver telling balls into the middle. But he still maintains the ability to play centrally, and adapts his game to fit playing as a wide forward.
Rohr has spent time all the way back to last season watching the youngster at Gent and told KweséESPN that he'd watched him again on Sunday in France.
If Kalu hits his stride with the Super Eagles, Nigerians will have a new favourite on the right side of attack.

Kelechi Nwakali

There are many in Nigeria who believe that Nwakali's move to Porto B is a step down in his career, and it is hard to argue with that.
Owned by Arsenal, he spent last season dazzling at Dutch club MVV Maastricht, his second spell there after signing for the Gunners.
The club were among a few who wanted him at the start of the current campaign, but the youngster chose to go with Porto. But to their B side.
If his career choice appears baffling, Nwakali's prodigious talent is not. He can protect the football, pick a variety of passes, and maraud his way into the box when needed.
He showed exciting glimpses of quality as Nigeria's alternate team shone in a friendly against Atletico Madrid on the margins of the World Cup.
Nwakali's performance ensured that he'll get a leg up for the squad going forward, especially with Mikel's new injury worries.

Musa Mohammed

That Super Eagles right hand side has been plagued by misfortune. Wingback Tyronne Ebuehi came down with a season-ending injury, only to be followed by the retirement of Moses.
The good news is that Rohr has more than enough replacements to select from. Upfront, he still has the services of Moses Simon, Ahmed Musa and Alex Iwobi, who can play on either wing. Henry Onyekuru adds depth to that chart and the emergence of Samuel Kalu is additional reason for cheer.
But Musa Mohammed has always been a favourite of Rohr's. The former under 17 captain has seen his international prospects take a hit with a lack of club action. But like Nwakali, he showed his ability during that friendly against Atletico Madrid.
Expect Rohr to give him a call, if only to give him another quick once-over.

I believe Ola Aina too will make up for Ebuehi's absence. And it seems Rohr may persist with Shehu as an option too or would he? Time will tell.

Meanwhile, Benfica just played out a 1-1 draw at home with Akpom's Paok. Would we see Akpom and Paok in the UCL proper? Second leg will tell.

Is KC Nwakali not better off where he is than Osimhen?

U wouldn't have said this last season when Osimhen was playing in the Bundesliga liga. The boy 's bane is his injury record. He is so susceptible that it knocks him off whenever he tries to rise, hence designing this fate for him. But he still got age on his side. All wot he needs now is that fitness and a loan move to a lesser competitive league. KC aint in any better situation.

It will be a very shameful decision to hand KC Nwakali a call up ahead of a more established player in Ebere Eze. Rohr shouldn't repeat that nonsense he did with Chidi Nwakali. Call-ups should be based on merits not names. What has KC done at the club level compared to Eze to warrant a call up to the senior national team?

Let the list come out first before you pick up your clubs. Lol... If Rohr invites him then everyone will obviously get to know where Rohr hinges his decision on. And if he doesn't, then nothing to say.

And you speak of Ebere Eze. What of Ajagun? cheesy Is he not capable in that role of AMF too? Just saying. wink

The Fear of being ignored by the Manager... Lol.. not that his move to trabzonspor guarantees anything shaa but at least, it puts him in the fringe plans kinda... My take: Beautiful to see players thinking deeply about their international future/ambitions when making career decisions

Anthony Nwakaeme: Nigerian rejects China over Nigeria future By Oluwashina Okeleji

Nigeria's Anthony Nwakaeme has rejected big money offers from China in order to stay in contention to play for the Super Eagles again.

Instead he has moved to Turkish club Trabzonspor on a three-year deal from Israeli champions Hapoel Be'er Sheva.

"Everything is not about money, there is also the possibility of staying in contention for a place with Nigeria," the 29-year-old told BBC Sport.

"I am a very competitive person and I love to challenge myself."

He joins compatriot Ogenyi Onazi at the six-time Turkish champions.

"Trabzonspor has big ambitions and as a professional footballer this is what I need," he added.

"I saw the opening game of the season, I love the amazing atmosphere, fans and stadium here."

Nwakaeme, who began his European career in Romania, had a successful three-year spell at Hapoel Be'er Sheva winning three successive league titles as well as lifting the Israeli Cup twice.

He scored 43 goals and created 24 assists in 120 appearances for the club after joining from rivals Hapoel Raanana in June 2015.

His form in Israel caught the attention of Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr and earned a call-up to the Super Eagles squad for their 2018 World Cup qualifiers in August 2017.

Nwakaeme was an unused substitute in three games before making his debut against Algeria in November.

Unlike his compatriot and teammate in Israel John Ogu, he was omitted from the final squad to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Hahahaha... But honestly what if the only offers he had came from China and Turkey? And possibly from a league kinda lower than Turkey? Just saying.

Also Trabzonspor finished in top 5 last season in Turkish Super Liga. They are no relegation battlers in that league.

Never said they are "elite".

Istanbul BB rated higher, ofcos... And that is because Istanbul BB finished higher than Trabzonspor last season and has done so in the past few seasons Istanbul BB had been in the top flight after they returned in 2013-2014.
Istanbul BB is no elite team itself. The only elite teams in Turkey are Galatasaray, Fenerbache and Besiktas. Finish.

Fikayo Tomori and Derby secured a 2-0 win over Ipswich Town.

Semi Ajayi and Rotherham fell 2-3 at home to Hull City.

Joel Asoro made his entrance in the 83rd min for Swansea in their 2-2 home draw with Current Championship league leaders Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds Utd.

Our left and right wing rest on these four players for now;

Onyekuru and SiMoses for the left wing, Kalu and Bazee for the right wing.

Nota bien; Success and Musa are strikers not wingers.

With time, Ademola, Danjuma, Gong, Chukwueze et al, would come to stake claims. The first two are more proven ready for now and should be fast tracked to increase the pool and make competition more fierce. Left wing would den be Onyekuru, SiMoses and Ademola, while right wing would be Kalu, bazee and Danjuma.

Hopefully we get to see Samuel Kalu against his old club, KAA Gent on Thursday in th Europa league final playoffs.

That would be Awoniyi vs Kalu... Hehehehehehe... Exciting.

And that Jonathan David always coming off the bench to score for Gent whenever he replaces Awoniyi na wire oooo... That kid dey worry shaa. He is Canadian. Canada seems to be gradually witnessing a slow rise of fine talents. Even Alphonse Davies was secured by Bayern this summer ahead of a January move. Hmmm, I just dey observe Canadian football ooo...

Iwobi and Ebere Eze should be encouraged and supported to take up the mantle in the AM. They are the only two that look the real deal in that position for now. The two are creative and selfless. They have that eye for the killer passes, hence neither of the two should be wasted on the wings for any reason whatsoever.
