in the central defence position the team needs more players to have a large pool to pick from and also add more competition to the position. balogun is 30 already so it will be ideal getting 1 or 2 younger cb as his replacement when he retires. also they are yet to voice out that they wish to stick with the german national team so we still have a chance getting any of them

Oga, there is no course for alarm in the CB position. Backing up Balogun and Ekong we have Omeruo and Awaziem. These two are tested defenders of which any can step into Balogun's position if he is injured. If any quality CB, that is willing to play for Nigeria, emerges we add him to the pool. Talking about Balogun's replacement when he retires, no worry also, nature has a way of providing replacements.

There is a rumour going round on twitter that NPFL will resume on the 2nd of September and end on the 28th of October. 14 matches will be played within 56 days.

But I do not like this idea of converting players ooo....That Shehu Abdullahi should play in the midfield..he is a midfielder...Aina is playing this wing for Torino...it is not that we are under-staffed

Sincere Seth is playing in Turkey that Musa could not hold a shirt. I'd rather invite Sincere Seth as back up to Aina till Ebuehi is fully fit.

Five star for you....all have been tested and trusted. bar Balogun, they are young still..we need a replica in all positions...however we continue to upgrade...

I just finished watching youtube clips of Yeni Malatyaspor s last two games, week 2. Sincere Seth played full minutes. He is a decent defender...he had one assist...he was bombing forward too. ..four of his cross were pin-point. He is good

Osimhen's loan move comes with an option to buy clause. RSC Charleroi sold their Iranian Centre forward, Kaveh Razaei and replaced him with Victor Osimhen. Now they have two natural CFs. Osimhen and earlier summer arrival, Jeremy Perbet.

I reckon Osimhen will likely see good game time at Charleroi. Hoping he has it good from this point on. Lad got the talents to be more.

Below is a roughly translated News article from earlier on his move to Charleroi (from one of the belgian sites).

Charleroi already holds the replacement of Rezaei: Victor Osimhen!

CHARLEROI

Sporting did not take long to find the replacement for Rezaei, who has engaged with Bruges (details of the deal here).

This is Victor Osimhen, a young 19-year-old international striker who is on loan from Wolfsburg. Nothing is yet signed and details remain to be settled.

Victor Osihmen showed up at the U-17 World Cup with Nigeria, finishing as top scorer in the competition (10 goals).

Two years ago, Anderlecht and Arsenal tried to get him to sign but the player had finally decided to join Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga.

In Wolfsburg, Osimhen suffered several injuries and played only fourteen matches.

Loaned with option to buy in Charleroi (there are still some details to settle), the Nigerian, who has been testing in Bruges and Zulte Waregem this summer, hope to launch his promising career by gaining play time.

I have also been following Sincere Seth's progress and I even included him in my list of Super Eagles' defensive options for the long run shared a couple of pages back here but I feel it is still early for him but he is ahead of Musa Mohammed based on playing levels right now. Ola Aina should get the nod above him and Musa right now in both Shehu's and Ebuehi's absence. Yep, even Shehu is out injured for now.

Let Seth keep playing and building his game and confidence. But would not be surprised if Rohr's eyes informs his hands to pen his name down for a call-up in the wake of our absentees at RB. But I believe Ola Aina will likely be considered first way ahead of Seth.

I do not know why we are wasting time with Musa Muhammad. Sincere Seth can fit in, Mandela Egbo in Germany as well.

Musa Muhammad has not been impressive in Turkey, Bosnia and Bulgaria. He is warming the bench in Croatia now.

Let the goals begin. So happy for the lad, funny thing is he might get way more playing time than he would have had at the other2 clubs.

Musa was a full time starter last season and this one only just started so I find this campaign very premature.

Well, let Rohr be the judge of that. He has seen Musa up close and personal and rates the lad somewhat but yeah, Seth is ahead for now and even has Olympic NT experience and U-23 Afcon Experience. But Musa too got some level of experience under his belt added to his undoubted quality. I believe Seth will get his chance. Getting regular game time at Yeni Malatyaspor in the Super Liga is gonna get him noticed with time. Who knows? He could get a shock invite even. And Sir, I gave you a mention inquiring about Faisal Billey but you didn't respond. Didn't get the mention I assume?

Yes...but did you notice his runs? bombing forward? Did you see those pi-point crosses even against top side like Fenebarche? Man,dude has progressed a lot since Olympics...He is good...

This our Aina..hmmm...i saw the Dzeko goal... he was clearly at fault...why on earth did he allow the ball to pass after attempted jump?

Hmmm... Why do I feel like your hailing Seth and harping on his positives and then picking on a fault of Aina in the same post suggests you would rather have Seth called up over Aina? wink
