Gud day everyone, greeting to everyone,. Let me be biased, special greetings to all MBBS aspirants. By now everyone should be almost ready for the battle ahead. To all mbbs, remember you are fighting a battle at the ratio of 1 applicant versus 100 applicants. During my aspiring days, a total of 146 student were admitted in my class while over 11,000 choose UI MBBS from jamb. so, get your battle axe ready, prepare for war, the warfront is deadly. Even nairalanders will not pity you, they are ready to strike you into physiology and biochemistry department, if you don't strike them first. Fight with all within you. But, remember, you need God in this race. The race Is not for the swift. Read, pray, and spank 90% in prime. 1 Like |

Pes13:i What do you think the cutoff will be this year based on jamb score alone. . Thinking about it scares the bat shit outta me. Besides, what are the other inclusions in the use of english part from comprehension, synonyms and antonyms? |

TeflonBlixx: until after putme, anything can happen, I knew some of my mate who scored 300+ but couldn't score more than 65%, though he made it while I knew a department mate who scored 268, and still made it. There was even someone who entered with 218, I saw it with my eyes, I wasn't told. why am I telling u this? , focus on putme, your jamb score alone can't help you or determine your chance. |

Eben331:ummmm this question... but I think the answer is rain water rain water contains caco3 |
Re: UI 2018/2019 Admission Thread by micskales(m): 1:43pm On Aug 22, 2018 |
Sofia01:Never, rain water is the purest, it lather well. it is a result of evaporation and condensation. The answer is either river or lake, cos it comtains disolved air and mineral salts. lake is favourable it does nt flow. but river does. river water is somehow aerated while flowing.ok lake and river are same if river is the answer then lake is somehow correct. but borehole is definately the anwser, borehole water is from underground. under the groud we have deposit of calcium and magnesium. limestone store underground are also capable of making borehole the hardest water. |
Re: UI 2018/2019 Admission Thread by micskales(m): 2:07pm On Aug 22, 2018 |

rain water is nt hard, if river is correct lake is also correct. river and lake are hard but not compare to borehole. borehole water contains dissolve air and minerals e.g Ca jand Mg, limestone, chalk from underground deposit. and u knw hard water is very good for the body, moreover soft water attack lead pipe because it leads to lead poisoning, so borehole water is the hardest. |

Re: UI 2018/2019 Admission Thread by Probity567: 7:37pm On Aug 22, 2018 |
Lake water has the highest degree of hardness, bcus of its stationary nature. It accumulate more soluble calcium, magnesium and iron(iii)salts. The other source are soft, bcus they are exposed to these salts. |

Re: UI 2018/2019 Admission Thread by Eben331: 9:20pm On Aug 22, 2018 |
Probity567:You are right. The answer is lake water. Rain water and borehole water are less exposed to the atmosphere and so do not contain dissolved mineral salts as impurities or hardness. On the other hand, river water is exposed to the atmosphere and so contains dissolved mineral salts which cause hardness of the water BUT it is not stationary and it flows, dis make it not to have the highest degree of hardness whereas lake water is stationary and does not flow which make it to contain a lot of mineral salts. |
