Yes...but did you notice his runs? bombing forward? Did you see those pi-point crosses even against top side like Fenebarche? Man,dude has progressed a lot since Olympics...He is good...

This our Aina..hmmm...i saw the Dzeko goal... he was clearly at fault...why on earth did he allow the ball to pass after attempted jump?

I watched the match. Aina had a very decent game.

As for the goal, He was at fault but i do not blame him as much because it was still a ridiculous finish by Dzeko.

He is even looking a lot bigger than he was when he played at Rio. Cool assist from him.

Musa's style of play has not really changed much from how he played at U17.

Seth seems to have shown better improvement lately.

Hmmm... Why do I feel like your hailing Seth and harping on his positives and then picking on a fault of Aina in the same post suggests you would rather have Seth called up over Aina? wink

Big guru no...just to highlight his exploits...Aina is more experienced in the sense that he played world cup qualifiers and other matches at national level. Both should be invited...shalom

How many years ago was that? He paid the price for that already by being dropped even after a good game against Tanzania. The fact is that Musa has always been solid in the green and white so now that he is actually playing I don't see any reason to start a campaign against the young man.

He was loaned to Bosnia, could not hold down a shirt.

Bulgaria is th first time, he has played and it is not as if he is bossing the league. He is not yet super eagles level.

Sincere Seth is better developed for now.

Please guys what has Etebo gotten himself into? As bad as Stoke has been so far this season, dude has been a bench warmer that makes only cameo appearances. Chai this is really bad. To think he had a great worldcup outing that could have landed him a club atleast in the ligue 1 but for his hurried move to England, makes me sad.

Hold down what? He was only in Bosnia for a few months. I don't have a problem with any Nigerian player but why must u pull a man down just to praise another? You could have just said u liked Sincere Seth better but u were making all these false excuses.

I wouldn't blame him too much for the jump but he should have been aware of Dzeko in the first place, if he had been a bit closer he clears the ball away easily.

If you look at Musa Muhammad's career dispassionately, you will easily come to the conclusion that he is not yet ready for super eagles action. Same with Nwakali. I am not pulling them down. I am simply saying what is apparent. They have not played anything close to a level worthy of a super eagles invitation.

I am for the best players making the team. IF you go back far enough, you will see that i also criticized Sincere Seth at the Olympics but i can see that he is developing. Right now, in terms of development, Seth is far, far ahead of Musa.

Well, let Rohr be the judge of that. He has seen Musa up close and personal and rates the lad somewhat but yeah, Seth is ahead for now and even has Olympic NT experience and U-23 Afcon Experience. But Musa too got some level of experience under his belt added to his undoubted quality. I believe Seth will get his chance. Getting regular game time at Yeni Malatyaspor in the Super Liga is gonna get him noticed with time. Who knows? He could get a shock invite even. And Sir, I gave you a mention inquiring about Faisal Billey but you didn't respond. Didn't get the mention I assume?

Sorry about the late response. Sometimes, i just forget to respond to mentions.

I understand the deal is more or less rapped up. (Faisal Billey)

My point is that if we are looking for the best available right back, ideally, Musa should not get a call-up ahead of Seth.

Musa's problem is not quality but wrong choices and poor agents. But all the same Musa has a total of 30 professional appearances and Sincere has 6. This is not 2015 when everybody felt his Turkish club was a small club, if Musa had gone to a 1 lig club like Sincere who knows what happens.

Musa Mohammed is not good enough for the eagles, sincere Seth is also not good enough for the eagles.

Sincere Seth just started being regular this season,he has started 2 games this season,he was a bench warmer last season,I don't think he should be even invited

More details on Osimhen's Charleroi loan.

- Osimhen's loan salary for 2018/2019 season will be jointly paid by both Charleroi and Wolfsburg. They split the payments almost equally.

- Sporting Charleroi will have the option to sign the player on a permanent basis for a fee of around €3.5 million.

- Osimhen have been handed the #99 jersey and is likely to make his debut this Saturday or soon after.

The main reason why Sincere Seth was not so impressive at the Rio Olympics is because he was played out of position. He played CB alongside Troost Ekong because we were short of quality CB options going to Rio. Siasia had to adapt and convert Seth into a CB.

At the U-23 Afcon, Seth was one of our best players when playing in his natural role as RB. And for crying out loud, he stands at 1.72m ,so how was he ever supposed to he imposing at CB? Lol...

Anyway, Seth just began his rise at Yeni Malatyaspor this ongoing season after joining them in 2017 and started off from their feeder team. Let his rise continue a bit more before he is invited. He is a fine prospect no doubt and could fit in nicely on the right for us. He has since developed and is showing very fine progress indeed.

#CountdownToFriday

Some names I expect to see on Rohr's first Post-Russia list:

- Ola Aina (most obvious returnee): for RB especially in the absence of Shehu and Ebuehi. Bryan Idowu is expected to continue as LB. Idowu needs a worthy backup or more like a competitor too. Hoping Deji-Beyreuther's rise is rapid enough to challenge soon for the role.

- Henry Onyekuru: Nothing more needs to be said. It is his time.

- Samuel Kalu: Another newbie set to stake a strong claim.

- Moses Simon (A key returnee): Missed Levante's first la Liga game due to injury. Hopefully he makes it back on time.

Names with a chance to gate-crash:

- Adeleke Akinyemi (50% chance)

- Kelechi Nwakali (40% chance)

- Musa Mohammed (30% chance)

- Reuben Yem (10% chance)

- Sincere Seth (10% chance)

- Ebere Eze (10% chance)

- Taiwo Awoniyi (9.5% chance)

Wild-chance shock names...

- Arnaut Groeneveld Danjuma

- Theophilus Afelokhai (GK)

The Success Of Spain: A Lesson For Every Football Nation

The seniors showed how to do it! And now the juniors showed that even they can do it. Next what? Even the Spanish U5 might win their respective football tournament in the very same way. It’s that time to say that Brazil is no more the most feared football country in the world. It’s time for Spain to take the throne. The victory of Spain U-21 in the European championships recently has further substantiated the claim of the kings of world football. But how has Spain managed this unprecedented success, this unbelievable consistency that every country wants to emulate the Spanish success model?

The Process of Winning

Rome was not built in a day nor was Spain’s WC triumph or its major episodes of glory. It had been planned meticulously and every single detail was given great attention.

https://www.nairaland.com/3019225/success-spain-lesson-every-football#44246494

This is one of my favorite reads of football development. When you read this, you will understand the importance of good Football administration. You will notice why Politicians with no deep love for Football have no business running the game.

You will also get why the blame should not always fall on the shoulders of coaches.
Yes,I agree with you. Football needs a lot of proper management. Nobody took Spain seriously in the 90s despite having a good league. But this days they are a force to reckon with. I am still trying to fathom what happened to them during the last world cup. grin

Josep Lopetegui was a long term project of the Spanish National team. He got the team ready, worked with most of the young talents of the squad from the Junior levels, including Thiago, Koke, Isco. During the qualifiers and friendlies, we saw the strength and effect of the long term project. However, the sacking of Lopetegui crashed the whole project and an outsider from the coaching crew taking over was a catastrophic recipe to the work.

One of the latest reports in Spain on Uzoho's potential switch to Elche CF. This is Alicante's report... (Roughly translated)

They say there is indication that the deal may or may not pull through as agreement is yet to be reached between the two clubs on Uzoho's playing time assurances and a few other variables.

Different angles emerging to this Uzoho potential move... But time will tell. Other reports in Spain previously carried the intentions/plans of Elche to make him their numero uno for the season even in the presence of a 39 year old Jose Juan. They cited waiting on approval from La Liga's LFP as the only thing holding them back as they had to balance their records to gain approval for the move. Hopefully, we would know for sure where Uzoho's direction points within the next 24 hours or next couple of days.

The Elche discards the signing of Francis Uzoho
Óscar Manteca, 08/22/2018

Except for capital surprise, Nigerian goalkeeper Francis Uzoho will not play the 2018/19 season at Elche.

The operation was done, in the absence of a pass from the Professional Football League that did not seem complicated as Deportivo de La Coruña assumed the player's record, but this Wednesday the Elche dropped down discarding the signing of this young goalkeeper of 20 years of age "for sporting reasons", as an authorized club source assured Alicante Plaza.

Deportivo wants Francis to have minutes and it does not seem that in the Elche they are very much in agreement to condition the assignment to play, although from the entity of Martínez Valero, late on Wednesday, they were limited to specifying that "they will continue combing the market "in the remaining days for the end of the transfer period, in search of a goal that competes with José Juan.

At the same time, the sports director of the Galician team, Carmelo del Pozo, did not rule out that the transfer of the Nigerian goalkeeper to the Elche could be closed, although it is true that he was somewhat ambiguous: "Let's see if these days can close ", said del Pozo to this medium

Thus, except for another radical turn of events, everything points to Francis Uzoho will not play franjiverde and that next Sunday on the bench of El Sadar, as a substitute for José Juan will repeat the good of Adrián Real.

Alex Iwobi on Unai Emery's Style and Training sessions:

"It’s exciting times to be fair.

"Everybody’s enjoying and buying into the new ideas. For me personally, I’m enjoying the new sessions, the new training methods and the new ideas, so I’m enjoying my time with him.

‘He demands a lot. He’s a lot more intense, a lot of high pressing and keeping the ball so that it benefits us if we have the ball. It’s good for us, especially the attackers who like to have the ball a lot.
‘It’s making me feel a bit sharper, I’m doing things with a bit more intensity. It’s not just for me, though, I feel like I’m helping the team a lot more. It’s benefitting me a lot more.

“Whenever something in the system changes, you have to prove yourself again. But wherever you go, you have to prove that you’re better than whoever else is on the team. At a team like Arsenal, that’s always going to be hard so I always have to be on it in training and matches.

“I’ve got to be different. It’s going to be hard because we’ve got so many attackers and so many world-class players, so I’ve just got to prove that I’m on that level or as good as them so that I can be ahead of them, which is my aim.”‎

Bad Move....... Belgium ke?! He should have joined a Club in Division 2 of the Spanish League!

Spanish Division 2 League is better than the Belgian League where Awoniyi is playing presently, where Onyekuru, Simon and Kalu were made, and greater than the English Championship where Etebo is presently plying his Trade.

You are right about his exploits at the CAF U23 where he played RB. He was one of the more impressive players in that team.
