Asked about Wilfred Ndidi's new contract, Leicester boss Claude Puel said: "We forget that he is just 21, it’s crazy, he is like an experienced player.
"It’s great to have this sort of player in the team – he gives attitude, spirit and strength.”

Fanatik, a Turkish media outfit have revealed that Galatasaray wanted to insert a permanent buy option for Henry Onyekuru but Everton vehemently refused and said unless Gala can pay €25million (that is £22.5 million) then the clause will be inserted. Gala wanted to lower the price byt Everton insists Onyekuru is key to their long term plans. Hmmm... Here is the "roughly translated" report from the Turkish site...

Onyekuru 25 milyon euro! (Onyekuru 25 million euros!)

It will be very difficult to get the Nigerian star coming to Galatasaray as a rental for the end of the season. The yellow-red management wanted to make a purchase option for the 21-year-old footballer's contract at Everton's bargain. However, the British authorities, which determined the prosecution to be 25 million euros, did not allow additional material.

In the first match of Türk Telekom Stadium, Henry Onyekuru, who envied the Galatasaray supporters with his soccer goal and his stylish goals against Göztepe, became the new prince of coach Fatih Terim. "I am tired of counting the sprints thrown in the match, and there is no quicker than that in the field without the ball," for a Nigerian young talent who does not embarrass Feghouli's team and who handed the form to Onyekuru in the league.

COST OF TWO MILLION EUROS

There is no 'purchase option' under the contract of Onyekuru, which has a rental cost of only 2 million Euros (800 thousand Euros for rent, 1.2 million Euros per year) together with the annual fee. The Galatasaray administration proposed to Everton to "put an option" but the British gave the answer "25 million euros." Everton did not discount and there was no option on the contract.

 EVERTON'S PROJECT

Seeing Onyekuru as a project he brought from Belgium to 8 million euros, Everton will work out the problem of work permit in England that they expect to take in Nigeria national team this season. The 21-year-old footballer believes he will develop in Galatasaray, who plays offensive football, will return to Everton at the end of the season.

Me sha, doubt Onyekuru will ever play for Everton. After his exploits in Belgium, Another good season with Gala especially in the champions League, would prompt bigger teams( e.g Valencia, ATM, Monaco, Tottenham, Borrusia Dortmund, Arsenal et al) to activate his buy out clause and take him away from Everton.

You may be right when the time comes. Even a good number of the Everton fans fear he may never feature for them on the back of his outrageous rise and constant improvement bound to attract bigger teams. But another factor is Onyekuru himself. He may want to play in the EPL afterall. Time will tell shaa wink

Hopefully Aigbogun takes note.
