MarsianAbraham: All of a sudden you know many people who filled form for GEEP. I didn't know you were the one all of them were told to submit their forms to or report to. Keep lying. Also I am not being paid as you so deceptively thought because for mentally incapacitated people like you, you always assume someone MUST pay someone for saying the truth and this is why I told you we are no longer in 2011 or 2014 where egunje and paying people like you for tour support was the order of the day. I never said Nigeria was America under buhari. However we have left where we used to be and refuse to be taken back there EVER AGAIN. Finally you must realise that Its not everyone who applies for a loan that gets it however, most do! Lie less or not at all next time 1 Like |

Chylo:Ignorance or you lack a lot for not knowing how society ought to work and how good governance and development reflect positively on the poverty rates and living standard of the people. What is 5000 compare to policies that could transform lives for a long time. You buy paint of garri and 500 is gone, what next? You return to zero. If 5000 is your limit then keep it. |

Oblang:"'Rome not built in a day'' This is a hopeless comment as long as Nigeria is concern. A nation yet to start is talking about Rome. This is laughable. Is a delay tactic. There is no right time to start than now we missed it in the passed when the Rome should have started and we keep missing it. Lets the foundation for Rome start first. |

buharitill2023: Agitation for Biafra and those in it are not terrorism and terrorist respectively. You are a parasite, just like those in Buhari presidency who hurriedly labelled unarmed Biafra restoration movement people as terrorists. Leave BBC them. Leave Oyibo who want their crude oil plantation in the Nigerdelta preserved by Buhari. |

Kingspin: Na national cake & share the money mentality dey worry dem. How did they even determine the poorest people? The so-called poor old ladies may have kids and grandkids in America/Europe, get steady chop money but decide to remain in old family/late hubby's home. Appearing poor may not mean they are even among the poorest 5 million people. In Nigeria is there anybody who will not feign being poor when it comes to getting free money? We have no proper census records, low national ID card uptake and most have no PVC. Last time in a country of almost 200 million people, only around 28 million voted. Assuming 50 million had PVC and 12 million decided not to vote, at least another 28 to 40 million people over age 18 had no PVC and virtually no ID. Only God knows how many people from Niger & Chad are claiming the money in the North. Handouts will not solve their problems even if they were the poorest. Creating economic growth does. Singapore, UAE and others lifted themselves out of poverty through concrete economic & education policies. Not $14 handouts. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Nonsense, even if it were true, how long would they continue to receive 5k a month? In a country with no feasible healthcare system, cost of living is beyond imagination, their children are all out of school and hawking petty items, folks who cannot pay their electricity bills because it's usually estimated. Buhari & his co travellers are inept, corrupt & brainless squids. Nigerians are in real danger in the hands of Buhari. |

sarrki:A president with vision wouldn't share Nada. Is #5000 poverty alleviation. Be objective and realistic for once, how long does it take you to spend 5k?? Why can't we think of sustainable development... long term vision. If they are looking for how to help the poor. Why not set up businesses for them that way they can still fend for tomorrow, skill acquisition and so much more. It's this trash mentality people imbibe and promote that makes politicians to keep holding us hostage. |

NickD: Kindly do your research before commenting. In saner climes pending when everything regarding skill acquisition or infrastructure is fully ready, the citizens cannot be left to suffer and die. This is a buffer. Like a stop gap for them so they can have some form of respite. I posted a facebook video here regarding one of the beneficiaries and if you watch it, you will hear where she was being adviced to set some aside because this money will only come for 2 years. This beneficiary was basically living on 400 naira and that is when she gets it. But was full of praises to God and the FG for this 5k . Money she had not held at one time in the past 10years (that was what she said). She had not held 5k in her hand for the past 10years. There are other government programs for petty traders which such people can take advantage of and I am sure they were also told. Government isn't as foolish and planless as you think |

AreaFada2: Despite the economic growth in Singapore, UAE and other countries they still have the poor among them and they still run social welfare for their citizens. At some point we need to get it right. Previous governments have ruined the early chances we had to grow our economy as they stole and looted with impunity. This is the VERY FIRST social welfare program ever done in Nigeria and it is already working. This same money in previous administrations would have been looted by a handful of people but Here it is trickling down to those who rightfully deserve it. This is laudable and should not be condemned. PMB is working in the right direction and as long as he sustains his pace on infrastructural development and also sustains his social empowerment programs such as GEEP, TRADERMONI, FARMERSMONI, MARKETMONI, NPOWER and so on, everything will balance out |

Perhaps you are an expert at lavishing 5k in a second but some know how to use it and live off it for 2 weeks. FYI the woman in the video who is one of the beneficiaries said she has not held 5k at one time in her hand for the past 10years. Go ahead and watch the video and listen to her yourself |

It is only a fool and a stupid fellow that would vote Buhari in because of this. How dumb can people be? Make the economy great for us to fish instead of giving us fish. #5,000 per month is so fucking small. Other countries spend more than $10 per day but this useless government is paying $13.8 in a month to this people. Thanks for giving them the money but you won't see me and my family vote for you. It is only dullards who are failures and people with no ambition, reasoning that will vote this government because of this. Can the #5,000 buy standard drugs, pay for surgery, buy Yusuf's power bike, take me to abroad, buy bag of rice, buy car, build house? Bleep the foolish ones. Stop being foolish and set your standard high. |

Butterflyle0:If all you've stated is true then that's welcome. They should do more to create awareness on what they do. Even though I still insist #5000 a month wouldn't take anyone away from poverty it's that simple. Let's do the maths, that's #60000 a year for 2years. You've got light bills to pay in the village, transportation and feeding not to talk of health. That money would do nothing for nobody. But then I guess the saying "half bread is better than nothing" or "at all all na him bad pass" suffices. |

Butterflyle0:She has not held 5k. Is 5k money to you abi which kind foolishness is this? Can Buhari spend 5k in a day? You be Mumu and may God punish you for being foolish. $13 in a month shows that this government is not working to make our economy great. |
