They don't have MB to read and obtain such (cost-saving) information. Naira wise dollar foolish.

Hello joo2018, banks verify statements but don't disclose balance or any other information to third parties except it is requested by a regulatory authority like EFCC. IRCC is not a regulatory body in Nigeria so they cannot have access to your info.

Again, statements for embassy, personal or official use are the same (in most banks sha). They are always stamped to confirm authenticity

We cant be too sure. Here is another friend's report, this time with U.S embassy. I'd just say we should do our best to keep the POF, it's better to be careful than sorry. Moreso, we should remember one can get ADR for POF at anytime.

Many people receive help on this thread. A lot of people are also very willing to help. But when you come and begin your inquiry with ' I don't have MB to waste', it will definitely rub off on people the wrong way. You sef check am.

No you didn't mean to disrespect what the group stands for but I believe your post was made more out of the resentment you've harboured since the 'elders' refused to answer your questions. You come on here pretending to be an advocate but you really were just grabbing the opportunity to get some of your own back for your imagined unfair treatment.
What I find funny is that, while you are now just as well informed or even better informed than these 'elders', you have made no effort to come and help these newbies you seem to care so much about. You pop out of your submarine, spray venom and pop back into silent mode. In the meantime, you've managed to alienate those who have actually been a big help on this thread and in the process left a vacuum that you are not ready to fill.

There are many things you can do to increase your CRS Score.

You can write TEF to increase your score.
You can go grab PGD in NOUN to claim points for two or more certs. Or do Master's to claim 126 points.
You can marry and she evaluates her cert and write IELTS to add points. If she has Master's and younger than you, then relax back and make her the PA and provide POF for family of two.

You can see that you have many options.

Thanks COPR

this is my quagmire right now
1.. How can I write and pass TEF when I don't know or speak French?
2...i have checked noun pgd programs, they don't offer pgd in programs related to my course(biological sciences)
3...Marriage now is not an option

I just don't what to do... Confused and sad

Do you work in a bank ?
Well I do, and this is a criminal and culpable offence.
The bank has to keep its oath of secrecy and can only reveal account information to third party like Efcc upon the presentation of court documents to that effect.

Wait are you alledging that the US embassy is going behind doors to verify applicants account ?Its an illegal thing to do and am sure the US embassy cannot stoop that low.

Maybe they also get a court injunction, but I have never heard of that.

Thanks for your response. If we had gotten this info earlier things would have been easier.I appreciate. Now lasu is the one delaying my verification even after I have paid the 10k.Does anyone please have any body I can call in lasu wes office to please respond to my verification request from wes.
laghopeful2018:
We seem to have the same issue. Wes sent my husband's certs for verification since May but unilag is saying they have not seen it till today, I am so tired. Please can anyone in the house assist with a contact at DLI to help me.

Fm90:

I was sooo happy to find a question I could help with after all the free help I have received from you all!! I had to register immediately!

I just completed my Unilag WES Transcript and verification. I went through Diploma and then did a 3 year BSC.

For Transcript request: Make your transcript request for Diploma at the Diploma office...you need your Diploma ID Number which is different from your Unilag Student ID.

Make your request for your 3 year BSC Transcript online

Follow up with your contact to ensure transcript is sent.

You have to follow up with the diploma office separately to ensure they send your transcript to records office to be added to your 3 year BSC transcript.

Verification.........DIPLOMA OFFICE will verify diploma alone while records office will verify your 3 year transcript. It took me about 7 months to get it all done (there was a strike during the period)

Download Duolingo application. Give it 3 hours daily. Get to level 10 on each topic. Go and Write TEF. Remember to bring my Prophet offering when you pass.

shocked shocked, the cost of transcript officially is 36720, then you'll pay faculty fee (1k for my faculty, I don't know how much yours will charge but shouldn't be too different). That's the amount you need to pay for transcript. After that, you'll pay 18,360 for verification if you're evaluating with WES. These fees quoted are for undergraduate transcript, I don't know about master's own.
Whether to evaluate both degrees is your decision to make, if EE purpose, only your masters degree is sufficient but you should consider evaluating your undergraduate degree too given that pharmacy is regulated profession, you'll need to evaluate your undergraduate degree for licensing purposes in the future if you want to practice, why don't you do both evaluation now?
tizzdi:
seniors in the house pls am in a fixed spot..for evaluating a pharmacist cert..do i evaluate my first degree or the masters degree?..got my cert from abu zaria..i contacted someone in the school and i was told that for them to forward my transcript to canada for evaluation i’d have to pay 75k?.. pls how true is this? @elfmannisback @tojued @glitteringstar @ysteph @all

If you ask a question and you were asked to read up previous pages, don't take it personal pls.
If you chase away all the elders in the house who will answer the difficult questions?
All we will be left with is people dolling out false misleading info.
Pls let's comport ourselves and learn in what ever way we can

If you're in Lagos, try out Alliance Francaise. It really boils down to interest in learning the language. It you don't have any passion for learning it, it will look almost impossible but, if you show enthusiasm, you'll view it as learning English. Also, being Bilingual gives you a slightly better advantage in getting jobs.

I did not come to this thread to give or take respect, I came to to get information, and I'm still here to get information. I'm not hiding behind my keyboard, I'm controversial and borderline rude in real life. Fortunately for me, I remain tolerated because I'm helpful. If you're an elder in real life and annoyed by exuberant kids on nairaland, just pay a consultant already!

Would i rephrase my naira wise dollar foolish post if i could go back in time? Yes (in retrospect it was mean). Will I display such behaviour in real life? Definitely yes. And then apologise (always better to apologise and do what's on your mind than to take excuse and never do anything). But this time I won't apologise because the reactions which followed have deadened my conscience. Since wakapass is a policy, lets also learn to wakapass over rude posts rather than derailing the thread.

Funniest thing is 70% of the people who clicked my bait won't read this post, because they really don't follow the thread.

@newmum0615, @Elfmannisback (and all the silent readers who have crossed over), I'll miss you guys. Thanks for your time and knowledge. To the superstars who still spend their expensive time answering questions and updating page one, thank you.

Try to get in touch with the coordinator of IJMB in the centre you sat for the exam.
He/She will initiate the process and be rest assured that you are not first person to ask the person.

Firstly I dont know why you had to use the word "allege", especially when I am only sharing a screenshot, I am not the author, only reporting. Secondly, I don't work in a bank but I have close friends who do, ranging from Auditors to Regional Managers, not trying to pull ranks but just feel it is consequential to mention that I have heard an informed view on this. On this group we debated this very topic about a year ago, I went a step ahead to read the opinions of bankers and some embassy folks on Quora, I also did consult with my friends who are bankers, so I am well aware of what the legality of the issue is and what the norm is. Remember my first message that you mentioned? It was in a tone of disbelief and surprise. I too, am as shocked as you are.

I know since these are reports from a third person, something could be amiss, but I also know to be careful when I hear the same story from various sources bothering on the same issue especially when they have nothing to gain and got hurt in the process. Even in the absence of these fears, what is expected of us is to have the amount we claim we do. I did mention that even if these stories turn out to be untrue, one thing for certain is that you can be issued an ADR for POF at anytime, like I was. So it is only wise to stay safe if you can, that is the mantra, that's the message I was trying to pass, my interest is that we get our PR without stories that touch.

When we have our PR, in the comfort of Canada, we can debate if they indeed check and if it is right to. For now, please just play safe.
