Those are not called “Issues”. Those are known by a different name: Non-adherence to the rules.

People who failed to adhere to the 28-day rule have previously been flatly refused a visa.

When they say 15 days, they mean 15 working days. Today is your 12th working day so hopefully, if you don't receive a pick up mail from TLS today, you should by next week.
Each application is different so timings will be different for each

Hello everyone. I applied for a tier 4 visa for PhD on 6th. TLS confirmed that it has been transferred to ukvi on the same date. However, I only received a message from Sheffield on 17th August about 11 days later. Is that not unusual?. I am still waiting for my visa until today and the processing time was supposed to be 15 days for 91 percent. I also previously studied in the UK. Can anyone give me some explanations based on experience. The last time I applied for a visa for studies, I did not even receive any correspondence from Sheffield and got the visa in five days.

The guidelines are there for a reason. Applications that fall short of the guidelines are bound to be refused. If the guidelines state 28 days, why do you think you'll get away with 14 days?
Pls stick to the rules to avoid a refusal and zero ground for success at AR.

There's really no fixed estimation for the decision to be reached within the 15 days timeframe but most applications for this year have been decided well within the 15 working days.
If you're anxious, you can call the customer centre but I doubt that will give much info if your application decision hasn't been updated yet.

Hello. I previously chose the courier option as I wanted to receive it in another State. Now, I realise that I will be in Abuja from the weekend and travel from there . Any way to change this?. I have been looking for a way to contact TLS.

How do I withdraw an already submitted tier 4 visa. I used visa4uk to apply for it.

Since you've signed the declaration and submitted but not registered your biometrics, you won't be able to cancel/delete your application via the highlight tabs on your application. Click the view payment tab on your application, scroll to the request refund tab and follow the prompt. Input your refund reason while requesting for a withdrawal of your application.
If you request a refund via View Payment your application will not be processed but will still be visible in your account.

If that doesn't work because you have only paid IHS and not the visa fee yet,, mail the UKVI via their online portal stating your GWF number while requesting a withdrawal of that application and IHS refund.

You’ll get a reply to your email within 2 days, except on Saturdays, Sundays and UK public holidays.

There's no way you can change this online. You can try visiting their office or mailing them through their contact us option but I doubt if you can get a resolution from there; no harm in trying though.
Best option will be for you to be available to receive or have someone to receive it on your behalf.

Hi Olumzy, if it's a standard application then I think it's the norm at the moment. The Ladies at UKEAS had students who had submitted for almost 2months and were yet to hear from UKVI and priority was taking more than one week. They advised me to pay for Super priority, which I did. I submitted and did biometrics on Wednesday the 22nd if August, got collection mail yesterday and picked up my Visa today. I'll advice people who are yet to apply to do so ASAP. And to use the SP visa service if they can afford it. I hope your VISA would be out soon though since you have waited this long already.

I suspect the attached screenshot could be the cause of the problem. That's why I'm holding off from paying for my IHS until UKVI resolves the issue.

what do you think is the way forward now? I hap paid already before i knew about the piority stuff. I am to resume to school september 14. Do you think i still have hope?

It's not the norm as far as I know. I think it depends on the complexity of each application. Most of the standard applications I know about got their decisions within15 working days.
On the other hand, there's probably a spike in the number of applications in the past few weeks.

It won't affect your application. Same thing happened to me last year and I went out of my mind with worry but in the end, it had no bearing on my application decision.

It doesn't mean a refusal. There's no way to tell till you see your visa on your passport. It's now a waiting game I guess. I pray you get your visa next week.

Either of them is okay. You won't get turned back with a one way ticket as long you have your T4 visa.

Thanks to everyone who have answered my question. Please i have two issues with my application that i submitted and i would like to know if it would affect my application...

1. I did a change of name on 11 october 2011 and i have a court affidafit for it and news paper publication. I had a scanned copy too which is on my email. I missplaced d cour affidafit and news paper publication in a bus where i forgot my bag. November 2015 i had to do another one after my graduation to get my international passport. Now the problem is this? I sent d scanned copy to the school of the one i did in 2011 which i used to secure addmision. But where i went to appy for visa, the agent told me i cant use a photocopy of court affidavit and news paper to apply that i should use the one i did in 2015 since it bears the same name.
Now my question is this?
1. Would the school send all the change of name documents which i sent to them to the embassy?
2. Is court affidavit enough as a prove for a change of name?
ISSUE NO 2
My bank statement have a different address which is different from the one i have on my TB Tesst and also my permanent home address i used in applying for my visa.... Please does that really matter?
