Oh my! I have been missing in serious action. So much to catch up on. Thinking of writing the French exams but I am not the principal applicant. I don't speak French but want to learn it

I don't think that should affect your eligibility if you are not convicted for any crime. This is the surest way to know if it'll affect anything. Apply for PCC and from there, you'll know whatsup cool. Once the PCC is fine, you're good to go wink

Trust me, you can write and learn French in few months if you put your mind to it. My cousin did same to earn more points and he is Canada now.

Try Alliance Francaise. When I called, they said they have a class starting on the 17th of september.
Weekday Classes : Mon - Fri : 9am -1:40pm...Sat classes start by 9:30am
They actually have 6levels and it takes 6 weeks to complete a level.
Level 1 costs = 50k
Level 2 costs = 50k
Level 3 costs = 56k etc.
The good thing is you don't have to do all the levels..you can do 2 levels or 3 then write TEF since you need to make CLB4 to get the golden points you desire (I am assuming IELTS is your first language exam). You could also get a private tutor from them but you would be paying 5k per hour. If you decide to use Alliance Francaise, ensure you visit them with your ATM card to make payments via POS and 3 passport photographs.

You could also try Lextorah at Yaba.
Tuition is 68k
They offer TEF exam preparation courses...according to them you will be given certain practice examinations at least 3times before you write TEF

Search google for Lepointdufle - for practice questions
Download Duolingo and Hellotalk and practice with them.

If you do this, you will be fine.

this info is speaking to me. Thanks sis

How long does ICES take to verify your result. Thanks

Experience4u, this should help answer your question.

victory4me:
ECA from ICES received today.

Exactly 4 weeks. 24th July to 24th August

Though the estimated processing time as stated on their website is approximately ten weeks.

I'll advise that you get a Nigerian PCC to find out what they hold against you.
Even if there is something, you should explain everything in your LOE with proof if possible.
Afterall, no guts no glory.

I think what mcstan18 wanted to know was if you were charged in the court for the said infraction.

In my opinion, you don’t have anything to worry about because the Nigerian PCC only attests to the fact that the applicant has never been convicted of a crime. History of previous arrest(s) is not reported on the Nigerian PCC.

So camdan wink
Hehe. OK I have taken chill pills now. Many thanks for the soothing words tho

Thanks dear, below are my details

I got 7.5,7.5,7.5,6.5 LRSW. 30 years old. Going wit my spouse and my baby. I have done Wes result verification and don't have Canadian experience nor relatives. I intend to rewrite my ielts and get my husband do his Wes

Looks like there's a mistake in your inputs to get CRS 400+ with your details. LW below 8 & 7 respectively will down your score by about 50 points.
Please recalculate.

Please stop taking us back. This issue has been dealt with.

Reasonabledoubt:

The Ielts result quoted up there is “not a requirement “ it is only the advised minumum score to aim for. The person asking the question should simulate using the Crs calculator to arrive at the best score that will boost his/her score.

I have compared the role you put here against the NOCs and NOC 1434 really is the closest, but like someone already mentioned here it falls under C.

I suggest you narrow down the NOCs closest to you other than NOC 1434, and try to see if you perform some of the duties in it that may not be in your JD.

Sorry o post police.

But the last time I checked, the IELTS result posted is advised, but it is not a “requirement” and I was pointing that out.

This is so untrue!
EyimofeFA:
You havent met the IELTS requirement. You need LRWS 8,7,7,7 so yes you need to rewrite to boost your score

Also like you said your spouse can do WES or he can write IELTS

Before you apply for the PCC, be informed that same is valid for 3 months (I am not sure how strictly CIC interpretes the 3 months validity clause). You may want to take some time before applying for it so it doesn’t expire before you turn in your application.

That said, should you decide to get it now, nothing precludes you from requesting another PCC when a previous one expires. You’d only need to pay for it again.

If you want to use WES for evaluation, you'll need to verify WAEC too but if you are using ICES or IQAS, you won't need WAEC.

I was trying to apply for my ECA today but i was surprised to see the new policy of assessing WAEC result first. I really appreciate this post. So after sending the WAEC result will you get a response from WES before proceeding with the ECA for degree certificate?

Good-afternoon everyone
When my hubs and i did accessement with WES,we included our secondary school straight . All you need to do is go to your secondary school with the WES form. The principal will fill and sign.Your results from Jss to Scce will be photocopied With WEAC results.
You either send it to WES or the school sends it sealed with ones reference number and name
That’s how we did it and it was accepted and evaluated..
Your secondary school have your WAEC results so there is no need to go to WAEC
Incase you do not want to include JSS results, you can ask for SSS 1-3 only
Thank you
