TheGoodJoe:The Question we need to ask ourselves is this: When exactly is that FUTURE?. We don de talk about this future since God knows when. But this future seems to be moving farther away. Personally, with Rohr's recent callups, I don't see any future with the man at the helms. Cos if he continues like this, only God knows what will happen. We had a very poor World Cup with the bulk of the blame on his table and yet the man has not shown any sign that he has learnt one or two things. I was expecting us to continue building and restructuring the team based on the pre-world cup foundation to have a very strong team. Prior to the world cup we discovered a new formation (the 3-5-2) which best suits our side and I expect us to continue building the team around it. But for the sake of having other options, like the 3-4-3, 4-2-3-1, 4-4-2,it is good to have players who can execute such formations. But filling the team with out and out strikers (Ighalo, Simy) has put such projects into jeopardy... Ighalo over the years have shown repeatedly that he is not capable of leading our attack as a lone striker. Simy who has shown few glimpses in the little time he was given will be limited with the call of Ighalo. Ighalo's position should have been used to assess a new player(an attacking midfielder) that can help us solve our creative problems. To cut things short, Rohr does not look like a coach to take us forward. |

Mickael2:Nah man I'm tired of how people are making it look like Ighalo is a old fashioned target man that is just good in the air. Ighalo is superb at taking players on. His finishing is inconsistent but to make it look like he's a stiff guy is nonsense. Dude was bossing defenses in his first season at the epl. 1 Like 1 Share |

Joebie:I so much like your proposition. But who will lead the other team. Lest we forget, Salisu is still under investigation and he has been distanced from the team. I think this is the best moment to have a new assistant coach... Someone with potential that can lead us post-Rohr era |

AIG07: The fact that Salisu was even fingered for corruption is enough to earn him a sack in saner climes. Also, if he was really honorable, he would've just resigned. But he is not......and this is Nigeria where a lot of leaders sit tight like its their birth right Anyways, for me, I think we should hire someone else for that home-based SE job. Corruption or not, salisu isn't even a good tactical or technical coach to begin with. At least, for the sake of our football image....chain Its really embarrassing been a Nigerian..... 1 Like |

fabyom: You know, I have said that nacho continual call-up is suspect because the dude hasn't had a good game for us in a long time. The fact that he scored in club friendlies doesn't mean he'll surely replicate same in the SE shirt. I hope he proves us wrong though because if he scores loads in the SE, then the team succeeds 1 Like |

AIG07: Herve Renard went to Lille after a far worse wc with Ivory Coast. Anything can happen in football, for example Echiejile sign a new contract with Monaco. If he said that would happen before the world cup na insult for rain am. |

Mickael2:I have constantly asked them to give a credible link where the Algerian coach said this. I mean the post match press conference because Own goal was the only website to credit him with the quote, the rest minor websites seem to copy and paste from own goal. I say this because the owngoal peice looks reactionary and an attempt at damage limitation, after every other website, local and foreign gave kelechi 4-3/10 in that game, immediately after that, they quoted a journalist who told them in private Kelechi won that game for Nigeria, if you can't smell something fishy here, then you need to see your ENT doctor. Have it at the back of your mind that kelechi is being represented by a top agency, they must have few journalists in their payroll. Before you hang the manager, have it at the back of your mind he may not have said this. I'm at least 80% certain of this. 1 Like 1 Share |

darkelf: I think Imama will take over that position on temporary basis and Liberia would be a good test for him. I personally back him for the job because he won't just sit there and nod his head. Plus he is a younger coach who can still learn alot unlike the old dog before. 1 Like |

Mickael2: The coach got sacked because of poor results. Does not change his tactical input. Just like saying Wenger. A Coach getting sacked does not disrepute a tactical input. That is like saying Gary Neville is a poor tactical analyst because he got sacked by Valencia. Which is very untrue. Gerrit? |

Take a look at the lis and be true to yourselves. We have missing names due to injury and retirement. Besides those we know who would start irrespective of whether they had bad games in the recent past. I’m not going to start another argument about player A or B. I’m not convinced yet that it’s a new dawn with Rohr. The big positives is that Echiejile has been shown the way out. But if for example Collins cannot threaten Idowu’s place, we want to see what Deji can do right away. If Deji can’t, let’s see ikwuowem right away. If Ikwuowem fails, let’s see Duru right away.et it rotate until we have another viable option. I mean this for all the playing positions. The regulars should be pushed constantly. That’s my position. Modified Let me back track a little bit on rotation. A player should only be invited based on their club performance. It should be rotated with that in mind. TheLoneCitizen: |

goldfish80: Actually all along I thought the coach actually did say it, as in credibly but I browsed now and there is no credible source whatsoever to back that up which makes a lot more sense because no coach would say that really. |

If you say that Nacho did not cause them problems, then it is clear you are not good at watching the impact of players during games. Because, it is clear as daylight. Finito. |

You people will just come here and be telling nonsensical lies to justify your own bias and collect brownie points from your fellow blind and biased friends Ighalo and Iheanacho are average, but one average has better stats than the other. So, even on the average, dem still get level. Stop lying up and down as if none of us have access to TV or internet. 2 Likes |
