Icon4s: still don't understand their criticism of these players... is like they expect these guys to be competing wit C Ronaldo or messi.... even these great players sometimes do have bad games. to be honest i doubt if they're Nigerians...especially the one who claim to read psychology. 5 Likes |

Icon4s: Thanks. I think Weah would want to see some known names on our side, that was why I suggested Iwobi especially with Wenger expected to be there. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Icon4s(m): 9:16pm On Aug 25, 2018 |
BascoVanVeli: That's a tough one, but if we want to send some known names we may as well add some players like Martins, Ideye, Emenike, we can even dash them Echiejile and Ighalo |

safarigirl: he has never speak good of nancho for one day... should the guy pose a great performance...him and his partner in crime will go hiding...only to show up like tigers whenever the young lad pose an average performance..... now they've had added iwobi to their fury list don't understand the rationale for this act. 3 Likes |

What’s scandalous about the NPFL not being in session? The way una dey use English words eh. I even caved in after you posited that they were involved in friendlies. Can you quote yourself? You said the team should be made up of home based team and a few mainstay SE players BascoVanVeli: |

Joebie: I will stick with scandalous because we are talking about a friendly with Liberia and here is my original comment, please show me where I said we should pack the team with NPFL players? It is a shame that Liberia lost the president's son to USA. That said I am sure the NFF will get good money from Saudi but the Liberian sports minister confirmed their friendly last night on Soccer Africa. We could split the team in half. It would be a good way to get guys playing time. Liberia would just need some big name players so maybe a popular guy like Iwobi goes with a few Homebase lads. |

If na person like Icon4s wey talk I would ignore(even Tbaba has his own dislike for Ighalo) but people like these ones here? Pure hypocrites |

goldfish80: Bringing ratings is a clear point that you misunderstood the argument. The ratings came before the release of the Algerian coach statement. I disagreed with it, citing that they neglected the impact of Nacho's running and pressing which played a big part to our win. Owngoal released the article and the journalist after I made the statement. So it is funny you jumped back to bringing the ratings I disagreed with. My question still remains, did Nacho's run help causing the Algerians problems? 1 Like |

darkelf: These pundits just give personal opinions not inviolable judgement. If Balogun was stuck to Salah, he would have still scored. There is a difference between a good goal and flawed marking, Salah took the shot first time, something a defender cannot tackle. If he had controlled the ball, then it was a different scenario. 2 Likes |

TheGoodJoe:I have answered this question. I said we would still have beat Algeria 3:1if you lead the Super Eagles attack on the day. But take away Victor Moses, we wouldn't have gotten a result in that game. |

Mickael2: It is not my Problem alone but every Nigerian. The country is in a mess and we need a miracle and the efforts of those who want a better Nigeria to start changing the course of the country. Something people do not know about Fela Durutoye is that his grandfather was a teacher and five pupils he thought became presidents of Nigeria. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 11:39pm On Aug 25, 2018 |
goldfish80: That is clearly you being evasive of the truth. Coaches have tactical plans and different methods work. Rohr intended to apply pressure on the Algerian defence to prevent them from building from the back. He also needed mobility in front to prevent them from having a direct plan to stop the movement of our attacking play. Nacho played a big part in the team pulling off the tactics and delivered the pressing and movement well. Rohr could have chosen another option and could still win. That does not change the fact that Nacho played a big part in our win. So without being evasive and bias, did Nacho play a vital part to our win? |

TheGoodJoe: If kelechi implemented the press and caused Algeria all sorts of problem, why did Rohr relegate him to the bench and recalled Ighalo who was almost a forgotten man in China after we went belly up against SA. Another game you claim Kelechi aced but fingered the midfielders for not connecting his runs? Can't you see the paradox here? |
