COPR received.
First ppr letter -july 16th.
We r a family of 5 and I live away from my family at the moment and I assumed that since we were submitting via vfs,one can submit at any vfs office i.e,I can submit at the closest vfs in my city of abode and they can do same.I left Nigeria a few days after submitting my application and months later,I updated my address letting them know I was the only applicatant living at said address while others were still resident at original home country address.
When the letter came,it bore my new address and I was about going ahead to do as I thought and I thought to contact them first. A new ppr letter was sent on 19th July asking us all to submit in Sydney and giving us 30 days now instead if the original 15 days or so.Passports were couriered down to me.I had everyone's passport photos with me when I Left Nigeria and I took them to the VAC centre. It was measured and rejected as it measured above specifications.Meanwhile I battled back and forth and spent good time at the photo studio back home measuring dimensions but alas,it was still above dimensions and only passports were couriered to me.
I took a new photo here and asked my family to do same and they went to studio 24 and also spent considerable time getting it right. Before going to studio 24,they had a photographer come home to take pics and send to me as I was taking mine so they can edit and print alongside mine but the pics the photographer was sending to us was useless I think due to the focus. They resigned and went to studio 24 which was quite a hassle as hubby had to leave work to take the kids. I asked them to send the new soft copy for me to try to print to save courier time and money and it was sent. The lady who took my own passport was quite very patient and really tried to make something out of the first set of photos the photographer took at home and I was impressed cos she was a very young white girl maybe in her late teens and most girls that age won't have that patience.I went back the next day with the new studio 24 soft copy and the lady on duty tried to print but said the pics wouldn't rotate and won't fit specs.I resigned and decided to ask them to courier the hard copies.I was to be at work at 12 and I had about 2 hours before work.I decided to go to work and stay in the car till work resumes.
As I was leaving,I had a second thought and decided to try Auspost cos it was where I wanted to take my own pics originally before I went to officeworks.
It was only a few mins drive away and I went.On getting there,I told the middle aged man I wanted to print photos and he said they don't print.Another colleague of his asked me to show him and I did and he said they do.At this stage I was skeptical of success but sent him one of them.He spent considerable time inside and came out with one which was just right.
I was elated and sent him the remaining ones and viola,we had the photos.
Moral:Do not give up until you exhaust all available options.
I went to work and at work,i thought to play hooky and go submit the passports.I talked to my colleague who was quite hesitant but I gave her an alibi in case someone shows up and asks of me.
I left to submit but my own photos were just 31mm and the lady said it was around 30.5 and 31mm.I wasn't ready to go back and forth again and we agreed she transmit them and if the embassy thinks otherwise,I would get another set.
I was told it takes 3days to 3months to be ready but I was sure it would fall closer to the 3day mark than further. Passports were submitted on 26th July.We had already made prelim plans to land in September on receiving the ppr.I was tracking daily and it was still at the visa office. After a week,I called VAC telling them I thought it was 3 days and they reiterated it was 3days to 3months.After another week I called VAc telling them I was travelling urgently and needed my passports. They asked me to write to the embassy to withdraw my passport and when I return,I can transmit it again to them.I laughed in my mind and said e no work ooo.
My hubby already attended a planning for Canada session and was to start pre-arrival programs but they wrote him saying until he gets a visa/copr in his name,he can't commence. This is after they had been given the ppr letter. He forwarded me the mail and I wrote to the embassy telling them I am planning to land in September and would love to obtain pre-arrival services to enable us settle in quickly and I attached the mail asking for visa before we can commence. The generic response indicating mail has been transmitted was received and I got a response about 9 days letter saying they received my package on the 27th July and see no issues in my receiving my passports in September and travelling same month.I took that to mean it will be ready by September. On the 23rd of august,I got a call from VAc to pick up passports and I picked them on 24th.I saw my passport was stamped in London while my dependents' were in Sydney.
One day, I will order gcms notes to understand what went down.
September landing date won't work anymore as more time is needed to plan.
I have read from folks on here living away from family wondering what will happen at passport request and my advise is update your address,if the letter comes you can always seek clarification and in such cases, indicate urgent on the subject to ensure the mail is given a priority. One person leaving for work to another country was wondering the right time to commence and I can only say now is always the right time.It is possible application will be finalized before you finally leave.Address can always be updated and letting them know address of other applicants is a good one too.Remember it is a requirement to notify cic of any address change.

Please i need help especially from those who used their NYSC experience as their only work experience. I served with a paramilitary agency 7/8years ago and we were paid 7k monthly and the usual nysc alawee, is it advisable to state only the 7k as salary or the 19k+ or both allowances added together. Thanks all

Congrats.
I believe you can start your application. Inform IRCC of your change your address when you land.

On changing from outlandish to inland application, that seems to be only applicable to spousal sponsorship. Just send them a change of address.
According to wiki: " All Express Entry applications are "Outside Canada" applications". https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permanent_residency_in_Canada

You can see more links if you use "inland outland" + "Canada immigration" or + "permanent resident" in google.

I also don't see how not going with your family can be a problem. Your EE application is for your whole family, right? The only challenge will be on submitting passports after PPR. Then you can refer to @sistaj's post.

Hello Gurus,

Please help me out as I have not been able to get a good answer from my research. My study permit was approved recently and I will be going to Canada in the 1st week of September. I also just received ITA this week, should I wait until I arrive in Canada before submitting my eAPR or I should do so from here?

What do I need to change in my profile to make my application inland? My family is not going with me, could that be a problem?

Direct suggestion or link to the right info would serve me well.

Thanks,

Please is there anybody that used this NOC 0711. Kindly help me.

You cannot copy the roles and responsibilities as stated on CIC; that is not right. Here is what I think you should do sit-down and correlate your job duties with that of CIC. It doesn't have to match word-word, but it should mean the same thing/function the same way.

Hi people,
I am a bit confused about what to do here,
I have two bank accounts in two different countries and in these two countries I cannot obtain a POF letter in the required format. Half of the required funds is in a country that I have left even though I still have full access to my bank account there. Is it better for me to submit bank statements from these two countries or should I transfer the funds to my bank account in the country where I currently live. My bank in where I am living at the moment, has said they can give me a certificate of balance which contains my current balance.
