U are the confused one. The average Igbo wants Biafra while the politicians are talking about presidency. U will be completely foolish is u term Igbos confused because of this. Hater.

There is another high level confusion in your short post.

So the politicians are not your average Igbo?

Are those talking about 2023 all politicians?

How can the average Igbo whom you said want Biafra achieve it without the politicians.

Confusion!

Well, You're too dull to understand all this.

you be decieving them there hun. Who will vote Igbo as president? Surely not the Nothern people and surely not some (or most) of us from west here. I'm sure there south south brothers won't vote them self. No be Igbos again? With their mouthmaking and chest beating? So they can start telling us how Igbos went to heaven to save Nigeria? The little ones in GEJ regime were the ones that ruined his tenure. Money mongers/worshippers are not allowed to rule the most populous Africa country. They should better concentrate on their Biafra. Nothing for them in Nigeria till Christ come. Anyway, i believe they should know better.

Are they not Nigerians?

Igbos are giving themselves worries because they accept Bukola Saraki as their saviour & leader, hence, they believe him.

Igbos have forgotten that a drowning & falling person would not want to go down alone but always looking for partner. The 12 - paragraph statement of Saraki in response to Tinubu's one sentence of few words is what Igbos have accepted as the fact. Don't Igbo know that too much talking in response to a simple statement is a fabricated falsehood at self justification.

On the other hand, as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Igbos believed Yorubas & baba Adeboye support Buhari so that when he dies, Osinbajo would become President. The NORTH knows Yorubas never prayed for Buhari to die, rather, it was IBOs that wanted him dead. When he was sick, Osinbajo was the acting President, the ibos said he is dead, while yorubas prayed for his recovery. The only Yoruba that wished him dead is Fayose & may be FFK & Dino secretly wish him dead. I could have added Saraki, but he said he is a Fulani which Miyeti Allah is yet to confirm.

Now, Obj, IBB. TY Danjuma, Ukiwe, Abdulsalam, Ike Nwachukwu, Ndubuisi KANU, Ihejirika & other veterans know it is the C - in - C that would eventually determine whom he wanted to hand over power. The alternative is for the opposition presidential candidate to win his party in the election. This is not easy. That is why Obj, IBB & some veterans want PMB to step aside for younger generations but each of them also want to control power through the younger generation.

Since PMB has not said he is handing over to Tinubu why worry over saraki blackmailing of Tinubu. The only problem here is the acceptance of IBO presidential candidate by the APC (PMB) supporters in the North & South West with the level of hatred & attacks from Ibos .

Also, with the level of infrastructural decay in the South East, total neglect of South West by GEJ govt managed, dominated & controlled by the Ibos we need a breakdown on how the government with highest revenue in Africa, ended up borrowing heavily & left reserve inherited in may 29, 2007 depleted by $25 billion dollar without saving a kobo & even borrowed to pay salary before handing over on May 29, 2015

The reality is that Ibos cannot be president. This is the truth. Nobody will vote Ibos as president. As a Yoruba, I can't vote an Ibo. Look at the way they destroyed Jonathan administration with their tribalism, nepotism, and their arrogant disrepecful attitude. People hated Jonathan because of Ibos. Nothing more!
The Ibos should just concentrate on their Biafra because they will never rule Nigeria.

Baba, it could even be Osinbaba in 2023! All I know is the north is for Buhari & who ever he chooses, they follow. So, it's left for the SW to pick a candidate among them & try to persuade the very reasonable SS! The PDP actually killed themselves & increased the population of the already numerous Buharists in the North by playing those divisive "Isamization" politics, portraying themselves as a Christian & southern party!

The Igbos need to determine what exactly they want. They pass out contradictory messages too much.

They say they want Biafra or nothing.

In this report, they are worried that Presidency may not come their way in 2023.

They say they don't need the Presidency to develop.

They say they don't want APC, that APC will lose in 2019 and yet are worried about APC's choice for the Presidency in 2023.

Confusion!
When did any body from Igbo land ever told you they want you people's "presidiotsy" except the money slaves among our politicians. All Igbo politicians are more or less thieves like their counterparts in other regions. Any true son of Igboland knows that our only hope and future is actualized I'm Biafra. No more no less.

You're missing the point, man, as you're too emotional in your analysis!
The East is extremely irrelevant in electing anybody in Nigeria! The SS are a lot more important, so don't whine yourself!

The North is for Buhari & they'll go with whoever he chooses! If Buhari supports Tinubu in 2023, even if the PDP presents Atiku featuring Kwankwaso & Lamido, They'll go for Buhari's choice, especially when it's a Tinubu who immensely helped their man into power! So if the north votes for Buhari's candidate, who will still win Southwest, they'll just negotiate with the very reasonable SS (who actually don't care about the Igbos) & Tinubu wins!

You are not a good student of history, because if you were you'll know that the old Eastern region have always voted as one since 1999.
The same East you call 'irrelevant' ensured that your murdeous Awolowo never became president after the war when he contested against Shagari and Ekwueme. The records are there for your perusal except you want to deceive yourself so you can be happy enough to throw Amala into your mouth and sleep well at nite. We've studied nigerian politics in and out when you were still feeding on cerelac. cheesy

No yoruba man have been elected president without the North and East. Check the books and come back.
Buhari is powerhungry and northocentric, he will always support a northerner over southerner, again the records are there. His argument to justify throwing tinubu under the bus will be that there is no where in the nigerian constitution that say power may rotate between south and north and that nigerian constitution is above party constitution. Some of us started discussing nigerian politics and reading newspapers before you learnt how to walk. cheesy

So my brother, stop wasting your time. You can't eat your cake and still have it. Tinubu can't be president, the odds are heavily stacked against him. Even your brothers here know it but just don't know how to come to terms with it. grin

For some weird reason, Nigerians do not understand their own history. The Igbos will never produce a president again unless they they start to understand it. The igbos are too aggressive and confrontational and other tribes don't trust them. Plus, diplomacy is foreign to them. Everything na fight.

Crap from Wailers again.
How is it anybody's fault dat ndigbo continues to choose bigotry over d national interest?

In 2015, realizing dat there was a need to save Nigeria frm d grip of endemic corruption, entreaties were made to all political parties & men of goodwill to join hands in a grand alliance to form a major opposition to d PDP.
Unfortunately there was a problem - while other tribes will in d national interest, withdraw their support frm even theirs if cited for corruption, wrongdoing or incompetence, ndigbo chose to support even barefaced crimininalty as far as it was perpetrated by an igbo or as in d case in 2015 an Azikiwe whom they saw as theirs. They made it clear that their choice was to go on wit d monumental corruption dat was GEJ & d PDP.
d few igbo dat knew dat CPC, AC, APGA & other regional parties could not save nigeria & opted to join dis national movement to save Nigeria received all sorts of opposition & oppobrium frm some shortsighted bigots.
At d end of d day sycophancy to d PDP has proven to be shortsighted & they ar now crying foul instead of changing their ways. .

OBJ didn't need votes from the East, even though the SW refused to vote for him massively! He would still have won with the SS, North & a bit of SW votes! So the SE is that irrelevant!

We know how bitter you IPIGs are, but calm down & be less emotional when analysing!
Don't include the SS in your dirty & dull politics you play in the East! The SS are a lot more reasonable than you IPIGs! The APC has entered very deep into the SS & they're now accepting the APC despite the loss of their son in 2015! Na only irrelevant una for East dey do bitter politics!

Why will you be unintelligent enough to think the APC will present a northern candidate again in 2023? Even the dullest IPIGs know APC can't present a northern candidate in 2023! Use your brain na! APC will be presenting a SW candidate, & Buhari will support his party! Buhari's Southwestern candidate will win the North, SW & probably the Southsouth!

I've really struck raw nerves with the truth that I have projected.

Shouting 'Igbo will never be president' angrily won't change yoruba presidential fortunes. Heck even IPOB realists agree with you that 'Igbo will never be president, that's why they've told the East to boycot future elections. So tell us something new. cheesy

The issue is can the 'sanctimonous, sophististicated ever-preaching' yoruba be elected president before the Igbo? We all know it is not gonna happen. The power-loving north will rule till the country disintegrates as we all know heaven will meet earth first before a yoruba will defeat Atiku, Tambuwal or Kwankwaso.

Afterall yorubas have always agreed that Kano and kaduna are more populated with voters than Lagos and Oyo. So there should no lamentation in yorubaland when 5 million voters are recorded in Kano for Tambuwal or Markafi against 1 million in lagos and Oyo combined for Tinubu. grin grin

Mr man, you sound frustrated. You are not well exposed, experienced & sound politically. You said Shagari & Alex Ekwueme frustrated Awolowo from becoming a president. You are a very funny person. Sorry for your bitterness. I also noticed you are a novice & nobody politically by saying murdeous Awolowo, even if you intended saying murderous, it does not make sense.

What value did Alex Ekwueme bring to Shagari to become President that makes him denying Awolowo from becoming a President? So, NPP that won Anambra,IMO & Rivers had frustrated Awo. Did NPP have more votes than UPN? Akinloye, Umaru Dikko & Uba Ahmed were more powerful in that government than Ekwueme. I pity you

This is what some people from the SE fail to recognise, their tactics (if you can call it that) has rendered them of no consequence to the political calculations in Nigeria.

let me explain: if 90-95% of the voters in a region voted against you and you still win by a large margin, it means nothing they do affects your chances of winning, therefore they are irrelevant. Similarly if 90-95% of a region votes for you and you still lose, it means that region is not your kingmaker, they cant help you any further, it means that is not the region you need to woo. Buhari is an example of this. 3 times he got massive votes in the North but lost the election, it means the North are not his Kingmakers. it is the SW that made Buhari president. This is why Buharis key ministers are from the SW.

Politics is a trade off, you give me something I give you something. If you have nothing to give me, why would I give you anything? Politically, the SE currently has nothing to give either PDP or APC. APC dont need them and PDP knows the SE have nowhere else to go.

SS politicians recognise this which is why some (Uduaghan, Akpabio) are now decamping to APC, so they are in a better position to negotiate for the SS come 2023 and if they make inroads in 2019 for APC then how can SE who have contributed nothing come and say they want a slot in 2023?

Finally we know there are Ibos living outside the SE but digest this stat to truly appreciate the irrelevance of the SE in the political calculations: In 2015 , Buhari won by more votes (2.57m) than the total number of people who voted for jonathan in the SE (2.46m). that is the definition of irrelevance!!

SOUTH EAST: IS IT NOT TOO LATE?
I have read the recent transmissions by Senator Bukola Saraki directed at my Igbo tribe. I have deliberately kept mum on this as I had earlier resolved to speak less on Igbos as regards the 2019 Elections and 2023 Presidency having said quite a bit.
However seeing as some of my brethren have swallowed the cheap bait, I will chip this in just to keep the reality before us, at least for posterity sake. Truth is bitter but it's still the best medicine.
My people say; 'He who does not remember where the rain started beating him, will not remember where it stopped'.
REWIND TO 2014.
A new National Party was being conceived. Political Parties, political players and Regions were being wooed to the new alliance.
'We' Igbos (read South East) vehemently refused to touch it even with a long pole. We packaged, sold to ourselves and bought the baseless propaganda that it was an Islamic alliance that would birth an "Islamic" and "Hausa" Party. Simply because those our brethren heavily invested in the PDP at the time were afraid of losing their vested selfish interests.
Till today I'm still trying to fathom the basis for that wicked and twisted deceit especially as many of those Igbo elites who sold that dummy have since ported to the same APC.
We failed to even identify with that new Alliance. Hence the Party, APC was birthed without any remarkable input from us or presence. The few amongst us who aligned were called all kinds of names and abused to high heavens by us even when they were proven right afterall.
Thus the few Igbos who were part of it were at best fringe players as they didn't have the required clout to make serious demands and do the necessary political wheeling and dealing required in Politics to strike the hard bargains since politics is all about interests and numbers. They were even suspect, so much so that it was only their personal political sagacity that gave them whatever they got.
That Party went on to win the Presidential Election which in truth, most of us never believed it could or would, because of our half baked permutations and poor understanding of Nigerian politics. But it did.
Curiously we turned up at the fore front of telling this same Party how it should share it's 'spoils of war'. We became hypocritical moral champions with an over bloated sense of entitlement. Who does that, in all political reality and practicality? But we did, even while vehemently and vociferously still refusing to shift our position, style and rhethoric.
We dug in. Supported every bad thing and person against the Party, the elected President and the Administration while denying any and every good done to and for our Region.
Fast forward to where we are today. Almost four years after the 2015 misadventure, we have stayed put at 2015, refusing to move forward, refusing to shift grounds, refusing to play pragmatic politics, telling ourselves the same lies we cooked and bought in 2015 and some more.
Now barely 5 months to another election, we have started again saying "APC cannot give Presidency to Igbos in 2023". "Buhari cannot hand over to an Igbo man because Buhari hates Igbos". "APC is deceiving you", bla bla bla.
Of course. We will believe Saraki, who has only but a fanthom dream of becoming President and whose only known record is selfishness but we can't believe Buhari who's already President and who has a record of voluntarily picking two great Igbo sons as running mates in the past? Chukwu aju.
It is interesting and vital to note here that the PDP which many of us still proudly support and adore was in power for 16 solid years and in those years there were 4 Presidential Inaugurations and on none of those was an Igbo man found worthy by the PDP of even Vice Presidency and we are still bold to say it is the APC that has not even finished one tenure that doesn't want to give power to Igbos. Odi nma.
NOW; Seriously, let's be sincere. As things stand today politically, why would the APC even hand power to us Igbos in 2023?
On what grounds?
On what records?
On what politics?
Is power given to anyone?
Is it an appeasement or a gift?
The APC is a political party. The main focus of a political Party is to hold power and keep it to enable it deliver on its agenda. So if the APC reads that the SE does not want the Presidency or does not have the capacity to help them win and keep power, they will stick with the regions that can and work with individuals who are interested.
Make no mistake, I have always said, I do not blame us Igbos for the decision majority of us took in 2015. It's our right. But continuing to pretend that it was other regions, Buhari or the APC that made us do what we did then or remain where we are today is purely self deceit and I refuse to play that ostrich game.
As far back as 2014, I and many others made that argument that Igbo Presidency was very feasible in 2023, ONLY under under the APC, ONLY IF we did a couple of things right politically. I personally continued to speak loudly on that even after the 2015 elections until when I realized that we were not ready to play the politics that was required and now I dare say it may be too late. Or is it not? Time will tell.
For now, we can continue to tell ourselves that we cannot hold the Presidency of Nigeria. I heard and read many of our brethren go from PDP to Biafra/seccesion (read IPOB) to Referendum to "Igbos do not need Presidency but Restructuring" etc forgetting that all that didn't lie squarely with us alone. We think other regions are not reading our body language?
I really don't care what Saraki writes or says because they've all come to realize that it's very easy to play us like a flute. So like Saraki, like Fani Kayode, like Fayose, like Atiku, even Jonah Jang of all people, they keep playing us.
I've learnt not to bother myself anymore to avoid unnecessary abuse from nonentities . As some of us have said, it's good governance we want, even if only one village will be producing the Presidents. So be it.
Ka Chineke mezie okwu.

Why should they conduct a referendum for the Ndigbo, the Ndigbo should ask for it.
This is what we have been telling them since 2015. Why are their leaders not asking for referendum? Let them ask for it first. We will know who is stopping them from leaving....whether Yoruba or not

It's not true to say that all Igbos want Biafra. Where is your proof for that statement?

Are the people voting in elections and participating in other Nigerian projects not Igbos?
Please all Igbos want Biafra. Igbo Politicians who have no shops nor establishment but depends on free money may like to protect their business.
