There are only 2 options to make Nigeria better.

It's either we RESTRUCTURE or SPLIT THE COUNTRY.

Anyone saying otherwise is either a fool or one of those greedy lots benefiting from current faulty structure.

The only way nigeria can develope is to go back to regionalsm.

6 geopolitical regions with strong self govt and resource control, weak center and sharing of off shore oil by all regions

If this was true, then why has poverty increased by over 100% since 2014 till now?.
A massive 100%.

Nigeria now has the highest number of poor people in the world, surpassing India with a billion people .

How can that be? That is unacceptable.

That is failure of government in high definition.

True. Lord lugard in his book dual mandates summarised the prob below.
Through the ages, the African appears to have evolved no organised religious creed, and though some tribes appear to believe in a deity, the religious sense seldom rises above pantheistic animalism and seems more often to take the form of a vague dread of the supernatural. He lacks the power of organisation, and is conspicuously deficient in the management and control alike of men or business. He loves the display of power, but fails to realize its responsibility - he will work hard with a less incentive than most races. He has the courage of the fighting animal, an instinct rather than a moral virtue. In brief, the virtues and defects of his race -type are those of attractive children, whose confidence when it is won is given ungrudgingly as to an older and wiser superior and without envy. Perhaps, the two traits which have impressed me as those most characteristic of the African native are his lack of apprehension and his lack of ability to visualize the future"

Maybe Lugard was onto something, since he rained insults on the black race and a black man like you choose not only to believe, but to publish them.

Truth be told, Nigerians have not tried whatever system we are practicing according to purpose instead we expect that every thing will fall into place without the practitioners of the system acting according to script. You can not be stealing and mismanaging what you have and be shouting restructuring as if it can address being a thief and wasting the small resources you have. Resources must first be utilized properly before the underlying systemic issues can be addressed. Once again PYO has rendered political jobbers who rely on noise making irrelevant.

A fool and lazy talk. What is restructuring in the first place? A fair binding agreement between two parties. Stupid people stop looking at oil and resource control eye development and what will affect the life of a nation. The reason for Nigeria reform is simple "'let everybody contribute'' not some people. This is what most forward countries do even Arab Dubai.

Poverty has increased by 100% since buhari got in .

This is not propaganda. This is fact that even the NBS acknowledge.

How can you claim resources are now better managed when poverty has increased.

This is why I am not comfortable with APC.
They are more selfish than they are patriotic. Why toy with glaring reality.

Prof belongs to that elite class; they prefer the status quo but only pretend.

Now it's clear where my vote should go come 2019.

there is not one golden bullet solution to nigeria's problem, but several small and significant steps focused on solving bits and pieces of the problems.
Restructuring, if properly done, will minimise the national socio-political and socio-cultural issues that kills every meaningful discussion about what to do to move nigeria forward

Osinbajo has betrayed the interest of the South to please his northern masters and history will not be kind to him. How do you manage resources prudently when the source of the resources is from an unjust system.

APC that promised restructuring during election, set up a committee headed by Elrufai amidst IPOB wahala has once more cancelled all promises.

Buhari is the best President Nigerians deserve at the moment. If Nigerians want him to continue, then that needs not concern me, I suppose the man is doing very well.

After all, I am not ready to vote. There is no one worth voting for so far. I will vote when Sanusi or Ngozi Iweala or Peter Obi contests.

No career politician is qualified to be Nigeria's President.

There is sense in what prof Osinbajo is saying; however, the probability that majority will understand the truth in what he is saying is almost zero. Restructuring Nigeria at this stage cannot solve Nigeria's problem. The best solution is eradication of corruption first.

He acknowledged the fact that oil producing states want resources control. He said the truth, he actually led the team as the atrorney general of Lagos to front Tinubu's idea of fighting OBJ in court. Lol. But he knows better now. It is so funny. He actually fought OBJ so that Lagos can control more resources.

While I support the idea of giving more power to states in the future, I think his point is that it will still be same story if we do it now. In fact, those governors will finish everything. It will be worse. I agree with him. Really under normal condition, states should control the resources more. But my people, corruption must be tackled first. I believe this is what Osinbajo is saying.

The only lesson I learned here is that it is better to hold ones tongue and not make comments stupidly like majority here. Try to understand the basis of what he is saying. This professor is so gifted.

Anyway, it is a wrong call to be vice of someone that has a lower IQ. Honestly, it dulls one. This man is patient. I doubt any intelligent person can really take the kind of insults this administration has brought on this man. But if I was this man, I would resign. "Him dey try"

Well, maybe he is hopeful of becoming the president after Buhari. But will this Buhari even be re- elected? Honestly, I wish this man was the president of Nigeria.

Why do people on this forum always resort to insults to counter another person 's proposition? If You don't agree with another person 's position, why not simply state so with reasons?

*Trump Said Buhari Is So Lifeless - Financial Times*

Donald Trump will welcome Kenya’s Uhuru Kenyatta to the White House on Monday for what will be only the second one-on-one meeting the US president has held with an African leader since he took office last year.
The first meeting, with Nigeria’s ailing 75-year-old Muhammadu Buhari in April, ended with the US president telling aides he never wanted to meet someone so lifeless again, according to three people familiar with the matter.
Advocates of closer US-Africa ties hope his encounter with the younger, more urbane Mr Kenyatta, 56, will breathe fresh life into a relationship with a region that Washington is seen to have neglected as other countries, notably China, develop ever-closer trade and investment ties with the continent.
Under Emmanuel Macron, France is also trying to reset its relationship with its former colonies in Africa and deepen commercial ties with bigger economies in the Anglo sphere, such as Nigeria and South Africa.
“Trump likes chemistry,” said a person in touch both with senior US administration officials and the Kenya delegation preparing for Monday’s meeting. “Africa has never been high on his radar but if the big guy likes you he’ll find a way to make things work.”
