Rihanna sucks as an actress jare. She has a unique singing voice that used to drive me mad with lust. Not anymore. Sia (the Australian singer/songwriter that penned Rihanna's hits) is the new vocal Nightingale in my life right now.

I've listened to it over 4 years ago. Chandelier opened my eyes to Sia's uncommon artistry and talent and I've been a staunch fan ever since. After listening to Chandelier, I explored the vast world of Sia's magical music and became addicted to her. Nowadays, I watch ANY movie based SOLELY on the act that Sia was on the OST, because you can never ever go wrong with that genius. What a woman.

Too many awful songs? Look, EVERY musician has had some awful songs in his/her discography. It's not possible to listen to many songs of any musician and like them all, but to put TOO MANY AWFUL SONGS in the same sentence with Sia is an insult to not just Sia but to OVER FORTY artistes she's written powerful songs for. You heard me right, OVER FORTY DIFFERENT ARTISTES. If not for the genius of this deeply introverted lady, these incredulous number of artistes wouldn't be scrambling over themselves to have her write songs or them. If you think I'm lying, count for yourself below:

Sia doesn't just write songs, her lyrics are intelligent and elicits life teachings. Sia was the brain behind Rihanna's priceless Diamonds banger; so good it was, Rihanna sought her out to write Sledgehammer for her again. The lovely Try Everything which Shakira sang in Zootopia, the badass behind the song was you guessed who - Sia Furler. I repeat, Sia has a Midas touch, anything she touches turns to gold. Her song was the ONLY song I downloaded out of the numerous OSTs in Fifty Shades: Freed. She's got that effect on me.

This is a woman that doesn't usually appear in most of her videos and doesn't make elaborate and fancfiul videos so viewers will be focused on her messages not visuals. If you don't like Sia's songs, there's nothing wrong at all with it, we all have different taste. After all, my friends loved Wizkid's Daddy Yo and Davido's Nwa Baby to death, but both songs are trash to me and will never enter my phone or laptop.

My top 10 Sia songs in no particular order except number 1 are:

Elastic Hearts
Chandelier
Big Girls Don't Cry
Helium
Alive
The Greatest [she sang the remix with Kendrick Lamar but I prefer the original]
Cheap Thrills
Titanium
Birds Set Free
Rainbow
Unstoppable
Breathe Me

Oops!! It's more than 10. Sia confuses me again with her magical songs. embarassed embarassed lipsrsealed grin grin

The lady is a breathe of fresh air to me. The first song of hers I heard, I deleted it with the speed of lightening. All that changed when I heard Chandelier and the intoxicating Elastic Heart. Elastic Heart cemented her place in my heart and when I read her interview and saw why she doesn't appear with her face in her videos, I knew I made the right choice. Even movie studios seek her out to write the soundtracks for their movies. You may never like any of her songs, but it doesn't take away the fact that Sia is a walking musical legend right now.

What?? Dude, Sia has so many hits that I can't keep track of them all. These are the few I can remember off hand:

- Chandelier
- Big Girls don't cry
- Elastic Heart
- Clap your hands
- Soon will be found
- Move your body (club banger)
- Titanium (another club banger. Collaboration with David Guetta)
- Never give up
- Rainbow
- Fire meet Gasoline
- Bird set free
- Flames (another David Guetta collab)
- Unstoppable
- The Greatest
- Bang my Head (with David Guetta)
- I forgive you
- Cheap Thrills (wrote this for Rihanna's album. When Rihanna rejected it, she took it as her own, and turned it into a hit).
- To be Human (soundtrack for Wonder Woman)
- Breath me
- Alive
- etc

sledgehammer was a sound track for a movie, most times the artist isn't the one that writes such songs, the only hit Sia wrote is diamond and Rihanna helped her to use the fame of diamond song writer to blow, if Rihanna had ghosted her like most artist do, you wouldn't be saying all these abominations, Sia is like sam smith, few good songs but the album wouldn't be playable from beginning till the end, I love Sia and I personally think elastic heart is one of the best songs I have ever heard but she isn't as good as you are saying Biko, let her win Grammies to back your claims

Your level of oblivion is startling. Before Rihanna became a superstar (thanks largely to Jay-Z), Sia had written songs for top artistes like Beyonce and Alicia Keys to name a few. She was well sort-after songwriter. She has always had a beautiful voice, but somehow, never been able to break into international limelight as a singer till 2013.

This is how it happened: David Guetta (elite French DJ) wanted to do a collabo with Alicia Keys, and contracted Sia to write Titanium. Sia complied, but also sent a demo of herself performing Titanium. When he heard it, David is so wowed by her voice that he decided to replace Alicia Keys with her. That's how the hit single "Titanium" was born. The popularity of the hit smashed her into international recognition. Taking advantage of her new found fame, she released "1000 form of fear" shortly. An instant hit as you can imagine. The album had hits like Chandelier, Big girls don't cry, and Elastic heart and was nominated 4 times at the 2015 Grammy awards.

So, as you can see, your fallacious claims that Sia coasted to stardom by clutching at Rihanna's coattails were laughable. David helped her into singing stardom, not Rihanna. And Sia was a well known songwriter long before she became an elite singer. She's super-talented. Rihanna by contrast, doesn't really have any talent saved for her voice. She can't write for sh*t, and if not for Jay Z, she probably would have become a high class hooker for tourist in her home country of Barbados.

As for her never winning a grammies, she will soon, just you wait. She came very close in 2015 and 2017. She's working on her next studio album, and I'm pretty confident that's the one that will finally shut people that don't know sh*t about her up for good.

First of all, this debate was never about Ed Sheeran. I brought up the songs she had written for other artistes because you're downgrading her ingenuity and saying most of her songs were awful. So, I simply showed you how much top artistes valued this AWFUL musician. Ed is another musical rabbi I don't ever joke with. I can never downgrade his brilliance. Never!!

Secondly, I disagree with you that ALL Ed Sheeran's songs can be played without skipping. Some might do it, but not all. I can't do it, some others can. There are also people who can't skip any of Migos' songs but I find all their songs trashy. So, different tastes for different folks.

Thirdly, I was never debating RiRi and Sia who's better, it's subjective and I'll leave it to people's choices. But, saying Sia is below Rihanna in EVERYTHING smacks of epic unrefined ignorance on shocking level.

Lastly, go and edit that lie that Ed has written more songs PRESENTLY than Sia. A faker lie has never been told in all my time on earth. The link I gave you contained up to 50 artistes with over 70 songs written by the genius, Sia. Iamj, I'll deactivate my account right now if Ed has achieved close to that feat.

I'm putting this assignment out to anyone on this planet, get me songs written by Ed Sheeran close to 70 for other artistes and I'll send 20k to your account!! WTF?! I don vex!!

Ed is a songwriter, true, but saying he has written more songs than Sia reeks of sheer ignorance. You gotta understand that Sia started writing songs for artistes as far back as 1997. Pretty sure Ed was still a child then. He's great lyricist though.

Sia is a musical goddess when it comes to beautiful and meaningful lyrics. She has done so many OST for many movies.
Iamj comparison of Sia's creativity in song writing to Rihanna's creativity is just plain lame. They not in the same class when it comes to song writing. I think Sia should be compared with peeps like Ed sheeran, Florence the machine, the band perry, Lana del rey, Adele. Even Sara Bareilles is a better song writer self than Rihanna angry
