Expatriate Gives His Opinion On Why Nigeria Is Bad by Mizwisdom(f): 4:09pm On Aug 28, 2018 |
Why is Nigeria bad? I'm an Israeli that worked on an agricultural project on Plateau State, Nigeria for 5 years. I want to tell you that Nigerians are the friendlies, most hospitable people I've ever known. They are let down by their corrupt leaders who are not content with stealing millions but need billions. The average Nigerian is poor and has to be self sufficient to survive. There is no Government help. School fees, hospital fees all have to be paid for. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Religion is another way of controlling the population. Nigerians are very religious. They are very naïve and believe everything their told in the name of religion. The best way forward for Nigerians is to empower their women who are the real power in Nigeria. Let the women have power over their bodies and their lives and you'll see that Nigeria will progress. Liberate Nigeria from their primitve religious beliefs and patriarchal society and Nigeria will prosper. By: Ian Kedem, former chief Agronomist 3 Likes |

Nukilia:We are the ones who put them there. We can't make the excuse of saying they forced themselves into the position. In 2015 every educated Nigerian I knew and their fathers wanted PMB in the seat of power. They conveniently forgot that there were more than fifteen other candidates vying for the position and chose to focus squarely on GEJ vs PMB. 1 Like |

In short, the two major problems facing Nigeria are corruption and religion. I agree with the OP. Sadly, both vices are deeply rooted in the hearts of 90% of Nigerians. That is why We are not going to get out of our problems any time soon. That is why I am not so enthusiastic about restructuring (whatever way it is defined) since corruption and religion will still bedevil any new structure that is put in place. 1 Like |
