Both Hong Kong and Taiwan are largely independent of China. That's what that term in bold means but in actual fact,neither is independent. So yes our Agriculture in 2014 was at it's peak and about 80-100 Billion dollars, now it is about 60 Billion dollars and has problems with Herdsmen Crises.
Check well, agriculture grew rapidly under the then minister Adesina between 2012 and 2014, he is now the head of the Afdb and doing well, so yes our Agriculture was on the verge of competing with that of Brazil at the time.

Where do you think Brazil sits on? - If you did basic geography - you'd know it sit on the same tropics as Nigeria - within Amazon - that has way more rainfall than congo-niger belt.
