According to the World Bank, poverty in Nigeria is poverty of the North because although theyve got huge population but it's economically useless due to cultural, educational and religious factors. The same WB said the per capita income of South East Nigeria is comparable to China and Algeria. Theresa May is right even though Britain has bn celebrating the dysfunctional nature of Nigeria since corruption in Nigeria feeds the beleaguered Britain. See this below:

MrMystrO:

Facts are not necessary in this situation, This is a very simple issue. Since it seems you're okay with the Buhari administration and how he's running the country, it shouldn't be hard for you to say AMEN to my prayer because if you truly believe he's running the country well, then it means God will run your life well. Except of course you are a hypocrite of some sort, if you really think Buhari is doing well, then may God Replicate Exactly that same method of Ruling In your Life in Jesus Name, Amen.
Enemy of the state, if you not happy with Buhari, vote him out or better still leave the country. Pls quote me with brain and stop mentioning Jesus.
Hypocrite is when you support Jonathan for 6 years for doing shi.t.

Nobody is anti-Nigeria. Nigeria is what it is. Theresa May and Trump are not seeking any appointments from Nigeria and stand better to say their opinion without propaganda. How come we hear more about things in Nigeria when outside than inside Nigeria? Are Nigerian journalists biased, afraid or gagged? In all indices, Nigeria is a shithole country. There is nothing extraordinary about administering it. Sell oil and share the money. Simple as that. Yet the morons cannot get it right. How much oil is exported from Nigeria? How much is accrued to NNPC? Nobody knows. Nobody cares. Yeah! That's your economy. What economy?

Even among the educated folks, it is all about cram, pass and parade the certificates like chieftancy titles. No implementations. No applications. No serious national debates. Try engaging Nigerians on serious national issues. But bring up nonsense about Ghana vs Nigeria which is better in cooking fried rice, and their brains wake up. Of course Jesus will lavitate down to turn Nigeria to heaven.
Part of the Nigerian nonsense is greatly exacerbated by folks like Abagworo (Imo state) who in my opinion is the lowest of the lows any human being can be.

I tell you undecided

Nigeria needs overhaul

Poverty is real in Africa and Nigeria has sunk deeper into poverty index since Buhari came onboard but I don't agree we are home to the poorest of poorests.
Re: Theresa May: Nigeria Is The Home For The Poorest People In The World by PreciousBro: 8:33pm On Aug 28, 2018
Using NBS as a statistical reference. She's right.

Nigeria inhabits the poorest humans up north.

It's a shame!

I'm not surprised a bit that she will so boldly bad mouth Nigeria....and she would not be the last. Why wouldn't others?...after all....Trump called Nigeria a shithole country and Nigerians rejoiced....and keep on echoing what he said.

She has yet to touch down in Nigeria and she's already running us down with her mouth. All these whites and their boundless pride and disrespect for the blacks. The way they run down Africans churning out poverty figures from their mind, you'll think there are no poor, homeless people among them too. But alas the reverse is the case.
Why are Nigerians on Nairaland so anti-Nigeria unlike what obtains on Twitter? Why can't we talk back at these imperialists, and leave out local politics aside, some times? Trump's reported comment about Buhari that filled the cyberspace yesterday should have received a widespread condemnation and trolling of Trump from us, but no, Nairalanders would rather insult their president more.

The only US president who ever spent three terms in office, Roosevelt, was a crippled who ruled from wheelchair, but he saw America through the Second World War and emerged an unrivalled world power.
before talking abt the white respecting Us. Ask if we respect ourselves, black man selling his brother as slave, or black man who use his mother for rituals. anyway u won't understand coz all u see is the hatred from outside & ignoring the wreck from within

Simple-minded Buhari supporter...

Are you not indirectly worsening Buhari's case?

What does say about Buhari when the fact remains that there is no comparison between an invalid FDR and an otherwise able-bodied Buhari?

Can you state ONE achievement Buhari as president since coming to office over three years ago?

You want Nigerians to applaud mediocrity.

You are not serious...

U think India should be compared to Nigeria. Well in case u don't know that India housed many drugs factories and produces many technological appliances including one of the costliest phones in the world. While Myanmar is nothing to compare to Nigeria in population as in they are minor.

Those who support buhari are the real Enemies of the state. When you support an incompetent Lifeless Old Caricature who should be a Specimen in a museum, Then it means you truly don't want the best for your country. A true patriot is not someone who supports an Individual over the whole nation, but one who supports the Nation over an individual. I Never supported Jonathan because i felt he was incompetent, and i also know buhari is also incompetent. Just because Jonathan was incompetent doesn't mean buhari is. Once again, Since buhari is running the country so well, May every aspect of your life be Run the same way buhari is running this country. This shouldn't be a problem for u na, you should be accepting this with Good faith and pride sef if u really think he's doing a good job, Except of course, you're a BIG HYPOCRITE. Say AMEN, Or Expose your Stinking Hypocrisy, point black period!

Nothing like mental slavery here...if these people are praising us when many things are wrong with us we cannot move forward. So it's good they point out our mistakes for self -realization thereby we make progress consequently.

Eithopia is way ahead of nigeria right now. Forget all those pictures of starving eithopian children they were putting up in the 1980s and early 1990s. Thats all in the past.Eithiopia of today is way ahead of nigeria. Mehn its a shame that a country of nigeria's calibre will be having citizens not being able to afford food, where poverty is extreme and obscene. We look at naija calebs on instragram and facebook and we use that to rate nigeria dat its doing wellcheesy.

okay let's do the maths guys...

First of all how much is our minimum wage in Nigeria? 18,000
Nysc 19800

Now World report says Poverty is living below $1.90.
$1.90 is about 700 naira, times 30days is 21,000 naira.

Now you can see that OUR MINIMUM WAGE is below the 21,000($1.90 for 30days).

Not to talk about the Millions of youths who are even Unemployed.

Nigeria is Finished.

INDIA is 3TIMES more POPULATED than NIGERIA, Yet we surpass them in POVERTY NUMBERS. sad
India is 9-10 Times more populated than Nigeria.

I am forced to say ur stupidly naive, have been to any of the countries u mentioned? Obviously NO!!
Lack of travel is a disease, you are here in maidugiri comparing your stupid self with Indians that manufacture A to Z of what they are using from tractor to lorry to truck to exotic cars to bikes and to even keke ur using in ur country..
Try and visit other countries so you will know you don't have a country..
Do you know that an average Indian apply for a loan tonight and get it tomorrow morning?
Do you know hw many hours there is light out in a year in India?
Try and leave maidugiri at a time..

Buhari is so patriotic that his children schooled in the UK, which has become his primary health care center.
