How about if they were pregnant during the interview and never declared same,

Bros, pregnancy remains 9 months nah or has it changed?

the now "worthless" change of intent letter to inform the embassy of their birthing plan,

Worthless bawo?

Didn't even declare child birth at the POE to the CBP?

This is where they may have a problem.

I will advise too that they move this their post to the birthing thread for better dissecting and advice!

There is a birthing thread? shocked

Please I need advise. I’m about to book a flight. I’m heading to Minneapolis but the flight is too expensive from Lagos. I realized that JFK is cheaper. I am thinking of flying to JFK and maybe join a bus or train to Minneapolis just to cut cost. Would it make sense? Would there be issue at the POE if they ask me why I didn’t book a direct flight to Minneapolis? Hope they wouldn’t think it’s migration intent? What else can I do? I’m actually going to St. Cloud state University

Book your JFK return, and also secure/pay for the Minneapolis ticket before departing Nigeria. You then should be fine, your situation is understandable....

I’m on an F1 visa for a masters program. Do I need return ticket? Also if I choose to go via bus trip from JFK how do I go about ticketing from Nigeria?

You don't have issues if you get a one way ticket. How were you planning to use a train or bus to your destination from NY before? Book it from Nigeria, your bank card should work for you at the prevailing ATM exchange rate by your bank....

Good Afternoon House,

My husband and I were granted B1/B2 visitors visa in 2016 and in 2017 I gave birth in the US although we wrote to the embassy informing them of the change of plans. We paid all our bills and we have our zero balance.

We sent our passport via Dropbox for our visa renewal but we were asked to come for an interview. No reason was ticked on the form.

We are about to schedule our appointment, has anybody experienced this. Please advise Thanks.

This is not the Birthing Thread and it's perfectly normal for you and your husband to be invited for interview since you've had a baby in US.

A bus to Minneapolis will surely be much more costlier than airplane.

I understand you're trying to save funds but planning to take bus from NY to Minneapolis won't save you any fund... Good to know you're on F1 visa, please take time to do your research.

N.B. I will like to make it a bit easier for you by helping you with routing...

Don't fly to New York instead fly directly to Chicago from Nigeria (it will save you travel time and money) then take Greyhound bus from Chicago to St cloud which will cost you around $55.
Goodluck

Thank you so much. I checked google map and I realized Chicago has the nearest Poe to Minneapolis and it’s quite affordable. I’ll be doing just that. I believe I can book the bus trip right here in Nigeria?

To be honest I see no problem here so far you have good intention for visiting US and you have plan to return as at when stated. I will advise you to give a good reason for not visiting U.S when you're not suppose to.

Many thanks Seye. We leave in a few weeks and I will share my POE experience by His Grace.

Yes please do that asap.... You can use your Nigerian ATM card to pay for trip on Greyhound website.

Hello all. I have a valid US visa that would expire in February 2019. I plan to travel in November but someone told me I need to have 6 months left on my visa to be granted entrance at the POE. Also when I was applying, the intent was to visit Dallas but I have now changed my mind and want to visit New York. Hope this won't pose any problems? Thank you.

I know it's 6 month validity on your International Passport not on visa. You can travel even with 1 month left on your visa validity, it is left for the CBP to admit you and decide on how long you will stay in U.S, if you don't want such stress, you can renew your visa.

Anyone got a US or UK bank account or credit card for wire transfer?

I need Any actual bank or credit card linked to a bank. Ps payoneer is not needed. If you have this send me an sms(only) 070-180-781-89

I'll have to ask for some info about the account. We'll discuss details later but the cut's very generous at 35%

Thanks for answering. What about the question of flying to New York instead of Dallas as stated during my application? Do you have any idea if it would pose problems at the POE?

Re: U.S Visit: Port Of Entry Interview/stories. by Schwartz: 7:38am On Aug 30, 2018
Hello Guys, I flew into USA 2 days ago. I booked KLM but when I went for check in they had moved me to Delta Airlines. So I flew direct Delta from Germany to Detroit. Online entertainment was okay. As per oyinbo food, I don't fancy it. Besides I don't eat certain foods so in my own accessment food was zero! They shared ice cream, nice looking chocolate which sweet tooths would like but I didn't eat it. The main course looked like a disaster. Next time I would cook and take with me on the flight. I was expecting the nice kind of Menu Emirates served me me on my Dubai flight. Flight was okay but I created drama during landing. It was scary. One kid was laughing at me. The landing from Detroit to JFK was better though.
At POE in Detroit
We met hundreds of young Chinese boys and girls with F1 visas. There was constant announcement for translators. Was wondering why anyone will come to an English speaking country to study and not be able to understand simple questions in English. A CBP official was saying same thing too. But they let most of them in.
My questions were: Passport please. What do you do? Why are you here? Conference
How long are you staying? 2 weeks
Where are you going to? Anything agriculture to declare?? No. That was it, nothing else. Stamped in for 6 minths. No questions about how much I brought in. Then I went to baggage claim picked my suitcase off to my connecting Delta flight. Food on domestic flight was only 50 naira juice and 10 naira biscuit. My initial conference during interview was for a conference in July however I didn't travel till now. I was supposed to go to San Francisco but I said I was going to Washington DC. At interview I said i will spend 6 days at POE i said 2 weeks, it was not a problem at all. The change of city and travel date but was not an issue at all however I stuck to still attending a conference. They didn't even ask for the conference invite sef. I was just scared of POE for nothing!
Mehn I can't still get over the horrific train ride from JFK it's shocking that a country as great as America has horrible transport system. The littering on the streets is another thing I don't get.
Can't wait to be back in Germany jare. Thanks Seyewest. Chop kiss kiss kiss

Someone once told me a family was denied entry because the kids were asked a few questions and they answered they were still in school the previous day.
I do not believe such but a lot of rumors spreading like wild fire.i heard it’s not advise-able to enter through jfk because it is the pathway to cross to canada
Someone even said a guy was denied entry because the Naija number on his ID card was called and the person that answered said wrong number
I actually do not believe they would call a Naija number from there. What if it falls to midnight in nigeria. Will they expect the person to pick calls in the middle of the night.
I just had to post this so someone might find it useful just as I ve found a lot of useful info around here.
Thank you to everyone that has contributed positively
