Do I wait to get a little close to our departure date before applying? Is the cash of $190 still acceptable at the airport or is it payment by card? Secondly, in the content of the letter I'll be sending, do I need to add/is it compulsory I add my baby daddy's passport data page when his name isn't on the birth certificate since I will be attaching a copy of the birth certificate to the letter? Tou can wait till abt 2weeks to travel date before you send in your VOA application. You can pay upon arrival at the airport or pay online with your card. I dont know why dads name is not on birthcert maybe some other people can guide you on that. Best rgds.

I don't think it will hinder your chances, since the money was transferred from his company account and he is the Sole sponsor,moreover it depends on whether his personal acct was well run(infow & outflow)before the Lump transter. Allow the VO to ask you about it if he see it Or be watchful when the VO starts to stare at your Statement of Account for long,then u can pop it up yourself just to be on a safe side,.All you need is to prove that the said transfer was made from his Company account with a proof e.g, Companies certificate incorporation and companies article of memorandum where his name was stated as the chairman or CEO of the company, & then explain further to the VO if more question arises. Moreover pray that VO won't see it as a Lodgement, because all VO's are not the same, they differ in their thinking and the way they see certain things. You might be Lucky that they wont even ask you those things before granting your Visa,it has happened to some people here, who came out successful but said that were not asked of their statement of Account & some other documents. GoodLuck.

All these are mere speculations people. That someone embarked on a journey and successfully executes it does not validate his or her style/approach. When in doubt, you can ask the hospital or go to CBP website rather than all these wishy-washy advises people keep throwing out that are not standards.

What if one pre-pays the hospital bill but never makes it through CBP officers. Make Una take am easy o, abeg.

My hubby traveled with me but left after baby came ( before passport appointment). We got a notary public in the US to notarize and was accepted without any problems at the passport agency in Houston.

I had to call immigration on 08119753844 concerning the issue I was told you can get it as long as the baby has the same sure name as yours on the birth certificate.

For the case emails not delivering he said it is technical issues

To be on the safe side if doing in Nigeria better go to the embassy in Abuja or consulate in Lagos.

I need your candid advice so as not to proceed in error, I had my baby late last month in California.
Hospital bill which is on the paper I signed the first day I went there is $3000 for days VD.
Doctors fee for VD/CS is $2000
I paid in full and got receipts from doctor and hospital same day.
Of the day I delivered, I took epidural ($500) which I paid for there and then and got my receipt.
I was discharged the following day after my VD, I got bills at home for radiography, pathology etc for less than $1000 collectively and I have paid via phone.
My issue now is that I met another lady that went through same hospital that got itemised bill for about $20000 but below the $20000, balance to pay is zero. they did not issue a zero balance cert. but insisted that she is not owing them a dime.
I am afraid as this may portend a problem during visa renewal. I plan to visit the hospitals' billing section on Monday to know if my bill is ready and if it appears like that of the lady, I will insisting on getting another bill of exactly what the contract paper states and not otherwise.
Please I write to seek advice from people that went through this lane in the past and also to gather enough ideas/advice before going there.
