Its like Mtn is contesting the claim by CBN that they did not illegally repatriate the said sum, $8.1b back then.
https://punchng.com/mtn-refutes-claims-of-illegal-repatriation-of-8-1bn/

They should and also provide proves. there wasn’t enough evidence when Dino first raise the issue and senate at first did not find MTN guilty of anything so they tossed it out but e bi like say someone did not receive enough settlement and the matter was raised again but this time they hand it over to CBN for future investigation and do the needful. (So I was told oo.. I was not there)

Anyway I know all this story go turn wind.. their leader Stanbic don set meeting sharp sharp..

Yes, it is a refund, not a fine, but when the money is refunded, it would be subjected to tax, which I believe MTN wants to escape.

OK. so its the tax they are running away from. You can imagine how our own country men will connive with foreigners to surcharge their own country! becos if that money was truly taken out illegally, there was collusion somewhere with my people.
Anyway, all we want is for those in authority to always do the right thing so that this country can develop and move forward like other countries we all admire.
Meanwhile oando forensic auditing is still pending till now#SEC, it may not see the light of day, and shell-holdings continue after them eat clean mouth. just soliloquizing jare, i just want us all to succeed because we are really trying hard to make our lives better genuinely!

It takes 2 to tango.. who gave MTN go ahead na him I won know.. and the banks involved who or what gave them the morale to do such a thing ? (if it’s true)
This people came to your country to make money and you help them get it out of the country without following normal procedures?!
Killing your own country?! Do they know that the tax on that amount will go a long way ?

Agree with you. We all pay 10% tax on our dividends. Maybe they didn't pay theirs, hence one of the reasons for asking them to return it.

They will only pay that "7.5%" when the funds is taken out of the company and back to investors in SA, hence it ought to have been paid before they repatriated the cash.

Company's don't get to pay that WHT on retained earnings.

BREAKING: Saraki Declares to Run for President 2019
https://www.businesspost.ng/2018/08/30/breaking-saraki-declares-to-run-for-presidency-2019/
It is well oo. In a sane society, whether all the allegations on him are all false, or some of these allegations were squashed by the law court (no smoke without fire), this oga is suppose to even resign as senate president, but here he is wanting to preside over the affairs of the entire country!
Meanwhile take a trip to Kwara state, his own state that he governed for 8yrs (which his family still hold bound), nothing, i mean nothing to show! How can we move forward as a country like this, because these political parties are the ones that choose candidates for us, whether we like or not, we are forced to vote for whoever they present (maybe till whenr they give us law that allows a candidate to contest without party affiliation).
Sorry i deviated to politics, my mood is not just ok today thinking about how i so wish for things to be normal in this country because we have so much potentials.

Let Bubu first resign since he is yet to show us his waec certificate that qualifies him to contest. I think saraki has already been cleared by the Supreme court of any such allegation and is thus within his rights to contest. It is now up to Nigerians to vote for or against him. It would be wrong to give bubu the presidency come 2019 without any contest.
Bubu's effect on the value of naira since 2015 and his many unnecessary battles with saraki and the opposition has affected NSE in a very negative way.

Ucap
- to d brother dat asked

Trend
- SP still under the 50dma (meaning bearish trend persits where sellers are more eager to let go blah blah)
- in summary downside risk shud nt be ignored, shii can happen

Price action
- last 4 weeks hv been '' hammer candles '' (meaning SP closing above wkly lowest price wh shows buyers exist at d lower end )
- but d buyers are below N2.80 for now (dis is a very important area to watch)
- daily chart shows +ve RSI div , so bears are getting tayad but its gradual (dis is ur calm panadol)

Outlook
- expect further consolidation moves btw 3.30 to 2.80 , a break above or below dis range changes things
- let me stop here

Rec:
sit still and be at peace
but if d position is still giving u heachaches or emotional trauma, den sell a lil to find peace

Dis:
TA is not certainty its just probability or possibilities , we all cud be VERY wrong

I really appreciate this. It is very enlightening.

I think I'll just be hopeful that I am able to have some spare cash ready in case the bears decide to have a lavish feast (the uncertain side).

God bless you sir

This emerging market crisis is getting worse oh.
-Argentina slides into second recession in three years.
-US promise most severe sanctions on Iran(this would have a serious impact on price of crude oil)
Caution now key even in the international realm.

Why wait till December, why not start watching for from now, when it starts trading below N1 (sorry those that have it in portfolio) you begin to buy, cos i have a hunch you may even get it cheaper before that December if they do not have any positive news to cushion all these negativity trailing them now.

I pray o that it should reach my junction at the right time. No sorry to those who have it in their portfolio o. The cry of members of NSEMPA all this while should make even an ignorant man to run from DB. Even my direct Mentor (Mpeace) on DB sef sold.
