@Mpeace.

(modified) - I know the money belongs to them. But are they not as foreigners investing in this country suppose to re-invest the profit back into their host economy? Is that not suppose to be a condition to grant them license to invest here in this country? Because its wrong to allow them make the money here and then take the gain/profit away to develop their own country's economy. Or is the money not part of the profits they have been making from their business here?
But then what am hoping should not happen as they are contesting the claim is if CBN or any other regulations can still fine the banks involved in the repatriation?

Did the $15bn they invested in Nigeria fall from the sky? or was it coming from Nigeria, noo, the $15bn came from SA. so its logical that the SA investors must get the profit. it seems you dont understand economics.

Good morning to the ever resilient investors of Naija
We need portfolio protection insurance In this country. An insurance product that will protect the value of your portfolio from going down beyond the cost price... It should be designed in such a way that once Mr. Bear came knocking it trigger on the products activation. This will render the foreign raider( the foreign investors) handicap, Coz Nigerians are scared of loosing there hard earn money and dz explained the huge amount of depositors idle funds in bank nests both in Naira n domicilary accounts.
We are calling the rising insurance companies to buy dz idea.... I will surely subscribe
It should be for only the citizens or a Natural person and permanent resident.
Not for the foreign raiders....

Personal - A-Z Life Insurance GLOSSARY... COPY N PASTE FOR NAIRALANDER INVESTOR'S

Accelerated Death Benefit

A provision or rider that allows you to receive all or part of the benefits of your policy before you die. These benefits are paid for terminal illnesses like AIDS, organ transplant, nursing home confinement, etc. The allowable reasons to receive such benefits varies from company to company. Also known as “living benefits”.

Accidental death benefit

A provision or rider that pays more (i.e., double) in case you die as a result of an accident. Also called “double indemnity”

Administrative expense charge

An amount deducted from the policy to pay the costs of administering the policy.

Amendment

An attachment to a policy that modifies certain policy benefits.

Annuitization

The process of paying the cash from a life insurance policy according to a schedule of monthly (or other) periodic payments for the lifetime of the payee or for joint lifetimes of two payees. Assignment

Assumed interest rate

The minimum interest rate on a variable life insurance policy.

Attained age

The age of the insured person at a particular time. Attained age often comes into play for convertible term policies which allow conversion to permanent insurance such as whole life with no medical examination or medical questions. The new permanent insurance policy will be issued at the age the policyholder has attained at the time of the conversion.

Automatic premium loan

If you cannot pay your premiums, the insurance company takes money from your policy’s cash value to pay the premiums, assuming there is sufficient cash value.

Certificate

The evidence of coverage received by persons insured under group life policy.

Commission

When a new life insurance policy is purchased, the agent or broker representing the insurance company in the transaction usually receives a fee which is computed as a percentage of the premium. The percentage for a specific transaction is determined by various factors such as the type of policy and marketing agreement between the company and representative.

Convertible term insurance

Exchanging, at the option of the policyholder, a term life insurance policy for another plan of insurance without providing evidence of insurability (e.g., a current medical report).

Cost of insurance

See “mortality charge”

Cost-of-living rider

Permits you to purchase increasing term insurance coverage, coinciding with an estimated rise in the cost of living.

Death benefit

Amount paid to the beneficiary upon your death.

Group life

Life insurance plans provided often through one’s job, association, or other organization where the individual members of the group receive certificates rather than policies as evidence of their insurance.

Guaranteed insurability

An option that allows the policyholder the right to buy additional life insurance at specific times in the future, without having to answer questions about his or her health.

It is well oo. In a sane society, whether all the allegations on him are all false, or some of these allegations were squashed by the law court (no smoke without fire), this oga is suppose to even resign as senate president, but here he is wanting to preside over the affairs of the entire country!
Meanwhile take a trip to Kwara state, his own state that he governed for 8yrs (which his family still hold bound), nothing, i mean nothing to show! How can we move forward as a country like this, because these political parties are the ones that choose candidates for us, whether we like or not, we are forced to vote for whoever they present (maybe till whenr they give us law that allows a candidate to contest without party affiliation).
Sorry i deviated to politics, my mood is not just ok today thinking about how i so wish for things to be normal in this country because we have so much potentials.

“This is incredibly frustrating. There is no way that MTN would have been able to repatriate such a large amount of money without the central bank facilitating it all."

"This smells like a central bank that is not independent of a government that has big fiscal issues."

"It is very strange that the regulator is ordering the dividends be paid to the central bank and not the company that paid them in the first place,” Chief Executive Officer Rob Shuter said, according to a Bloomberg report."

My people this are very heavy matters arising....a lot of our leaders need to be jailed 4 life. The corruption in Corporate Nigeria especially Govt. owned is higher than even what politicians are stealing. The day NNPC/DPR gets a proper AUDIT they would be revolution in Nigeria.

MSCI PORTFOLIO MOVEMENT- AS AT 30 AUGUST 2018/GENERAL COMMENT

MSCI continues with the comeback move, yesterday was for FCMB on the buying side other details are as shown below. As we know the dispensation we are, the fund is likely to be nimble with the movements in the portfolio (we should not dull ourselves, take some profits if you get a good one, you need to get back your confidence). However, the portfolio seems to be improving in NAV, so the buy may be more, but if the trend changes we will know.

For the moment, the fear in the market in terms of the bearish trend should not be that high, but we should try and see what we have learnt during those fearful times.

Just a passing comment, I will still say that we should just ignore some posting entirely as some people who have not been following the trend will just make a "stray comment (like stray bullet)" for which the regular member will ask; "is this person from the moon". I say something like that yesterday when some as, who was buying Transcorp. With our "weather report- MSCI Movement", I believe we all know the major force behind the current move by Transcorp. To ascertain just add back the quantity you see on Transcorp volume for price list of 29 and 30 August 2018, MSCI must have bought over 21million units of the total. You know the rule of things total bought by a big buyer may not be reported immediately (but it will still be reported, this is not any manipulations, these are professionals that knows how to play the game). Just a digression, Davido was wearing NYSC Khaki before the orientation!!! his manager and NYSC authorities must have worked on this!!! big Guys have a way of doing there things, all I need to know is just understand the system and see how to use it to my advantage.

Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. However, you may want to verify the data from an appropriate source. Also, Institutions can afford to suffer big losses without going burst compared with an individual, you cannot follow them blindly (you need to at least have some knowledge/your own plan).

N:B
Due to the fact so many new people are coming to this forum and may not know this use of following the “big monies that move markets”, I will be indicating why/how to use the information. This will be a permanent future of my post to reduce some comments which may prevent the people that understand the system from confusion by people who have not followed how this started. My comment for today for anybody who doubts the efficacy of following the fund is to look at my recent recommendations for the past 2 months. If need nay clarification on my postings,e-mail me via the forum

If you are seeing this type of data on MSCI for the first time. You may need to verify the figures. Go to my previous posts, you will see the various sources where the data can be verified.
