danjuma is ours. the rise sudden rise of ekong and tyrone na big eye opener now to a lot of dutch born 9ja kids of nigerian origin
tbaba1234:

Nigeria needs to act fast to get Danjuma. I am sure, he will play for Nigeria if approached. He definitely flaunts his Nigerian roots.

super eagles is more attractive than the dutch national team currently so 9ja will be a better platform for danjuma to showcase his qualities in international football. i don't even see the dutch qualifying for the next euro. also the sudden rise of ebuehi and ekong will be a good step to emulate. kingsley ehizibue is currently regretting turning us down when rohr approached him sometime last year.

I believ you are right. He dropped Groeneveld from his shirt name to bear his Nigerian name, Danjuma. That says a lot. On his Instagram too, he acknowledges his Nigerian roots alongside his Dutch roots. And yes of course, the story and rise of Ekong and Ebuehi will be like sweet advertisement to him. I believe the success of Ekong and Ebuehi with our Super Eagles will convince him even further.

but bros that is the gospel truth. the dutch national team currently is in shambles and cant boast of quality players compared to other European super powers in world football. their 2 biggest stars now are young ajax defender de lgit and kluivert jnr who joined roma few weeks ago. a team that a bench warmer in the epl last season like blind is their captain is a testament that the dutch lacks quality unlike before.

mind you i am not insinuating that super eagles has better players than them but the lad stands a chance of making a name for himself in international football if he choose to play for 9ja. he stands the chance of playing in the olympics, afcon and the fifa world cup and also win laurels as well. this will also make him more valuable which will attract bigger clubs with better offers

Goalie Dept:
Jasper Cillessen (Barca)

Defence Dept:
Virgil Van Dijk (Liverpool)
Stefan De Vrij (Lazio)
Matthijs De Ligt (Ajax)
Nathan Ake (Bournemouth)
Daley Blind (Ajax)
Fosu Mensah (Fulham)

Midfield Dept:
Frenkie De Jong (Ajax)
Georgina Wijnaldum (Liverpool)
Kevin Strootman (Roma)

Attack Dept:
Justin Kluivert (Roma)
Memphis Depay (Lyon)
Quincy Promes (Sevilla and League top Scorer in Russia with Spartak Moscow)
Wout Weghorst (Wolfsburg)
Luuk De Jong (PSV)

Etc... Etc...

...Sir Charles, I think Holland have a good chance of qualifying wink

Especially when you consider that Euro 2020 qualification now have two routes. Via the normal qualification format and then via the Euro nations league.

Without an attack, they are toothless. Apart from Zaha who is their goal threat?

Their midfield and defence I reckon with but their attack is almost Zero.

Zaha with two other average players would make a great attack

Crystal Palace as a case in point

from a top NFF official who revealed that NFF is on the verge of sorting out ejaria's paper work;

“You know he came to the Under 17 national team screening as a 15 year old in 2014 and he was dropped due to club and academics engagements . The boy was so disappointed at not making the Nigerian Under 17 cut and wept bitterly.
“He has never hidden his desire to play for Nigeria at full international level and despite the fact that he has played for England at the youth level, Nigeria is still his first choice at full international level. His parents are also so desirous of him playing for Nigeria, in fact, they brought him to the under 17 camp themselves in 2014 and were there throughout the screening,"

At the Afcon in 2017, they struggled because of their impotent attack. In the WCQs, they also struggled against Morocco in the two legs because their attack didn't even scratch the first layer of Morocco's defence. Zaha is good but you forget in African football, one player is never ever enough.

I am only saying their present and rising talents can actually make qualification possible. I am not calling them world beaters but just saying they are a very decent team now and are still evolving and maturing.

Sir Chriskels... Mark that part that said "...because of club and academic engagements"..

Is this not what I was saying about Ejaria some days back? Later now Southgate will start crying foul and saying he was dropped because of "refusal to settle"... SMH..

Fact is that Ejaria had exams during that period and his club also called him back. But he has always been a part of our set-up from the U-17s.

ChrisKels:
from a top NFF official who revealed that NFF is on the verge of sorting out ejaria's paper work;

yes bro, all he need is to add some muscles cus he looks too fragile for african football. nevertheless the kid is one for the future and a possibe heir to john obi mikel when he retires

Add muscle?! Not necessarily.

Modified: Just saw the two clips of his performance and I can say that unless he has greatly improved now, there's nothing outstanding or indeed spectacular about his play as a midfielder.
Be it long range passing,intercepting,take-on,finishing.

Strootman took part in about 30+ games for Roma last season.

In the UCL, he featured in about 11 games all season.

And sorry for not indicating his new move... It slipped my mind. He was actually bought for about €25 million by Marseille. That doesn't look like a "discarded" player to me. wink It's not as if he was a free transfer signing.

They are in transition and are producing bad-ass quality Talents again. That is my point. They are not a WORLD CLASS TEAM now and are still some miles off the prestige and class of previous Dutch teams but I reckon that they have a decent side now good enough to qualify for the Euros. No guarantees but I will be very dissappointed if they fail to make it to the next Euros with the quality talents coming through for them at the moment.

Look, just stick to the simple point. You are drifting by comparing this present Dutch team to the Dutch sides of the past. You made a statement which said that Holland will not make it to the next Euros and I am telling you that with the present inlfux of quality players into the Dutch team, I think they can qualify. This is not about how super they are compared to the past... It is only about if they have a good enough squad to make Euro 2020 and I say, Hell Yeah! They do.
