There’s a way you can do it but it will cost you money. First tell you white friend to take the issue to her MP and get you an immigration lawyer as well. Do let it be long. This technique has work for many in your case if you get rejected apply immediately and correct the errors
thanks so much cos I've been thinking of how to sort everything , I hope this work for me ...pls what does MP mean

You are entitled to 2 x 23kg luggage allowance plus cabin bag (7-10kg) and laptop bag for economy ticket. Enter your ticket reservation/booking/reference number on air Marco website to confirm check in luggage allowance. You can also use checkmytrip.com before raising any alarm.

I've done all that before coming here. I spent hours checking various sites. I've even asked this question on their Facebook page before coming here,no response yet. I chose this platform as the last resort because someone might have used the airline and would have firsthand information. I was surprised to see one 23kg bag allowance on my itinerary, I never came here to raise unnecessary alarm.
Thank you for the response though.

If that is the case. Then your employer must have bought you a restricted and cheap economy ticket. You can always pay for additional check in luggage online, or during check in at the airport.

You are still not getting it.... By hand oh, by leg oh, by back pocket oh, by bank account oh, is it not the 17k still, abi? But it is clear to the blindest of us here that nothing tangible holds you to Nigeria, and that you will never come back if granted the visa. What then? You must deliberately and patiently create or allow your ties grow to the level were neither us nor professionally trained visa officers will see through this. Simple!

I see you have plans and are counting mostly on what you can achieve now and later through your "white friend", and that of course is even a major hurdle to this your visa pursuit. Greetings

Dude. Stop rushing to apply for a visa with your current circumstances. If you are desperate like this, you will likely get yourself on a 10year ban. In the end, you will even lose your "white friend".

You are young. You are ambitious. That is a good thing. For now, focus on building a better economic situation for yourself. E.g. Starting a business or getting a job that pays big. Heck, you might need to wait few years, but it's better that way.

If you absolutely want to see your UK friend, that is easy. Get her to visit you in Nigeria. Alternatively, you can save up money and go on holiday to Ghana or even the UAE with your friend and enjoy each others company.

Build a relationship with your friend. If it leads to something more serious, in the next few years, you'll be ready (because your circumstances would have changed) and it will be easier to get a visa.

Trust me, if you rush and have the "I want a visa now" mentality and you get yourself banned, five years from now, you will look back at your stupidity and wish you listened to everyone on this forum.

Have you noticed that the people who get visa the most are those who are not desperate to leave Nigeria?

I hope you'll listen to my advise. I am giving it because I was once young like you. Ride on the shoulders of the giant here. Do the right thing.

I don’t agree with your points. Do you think it’s easy for any Nigerian youth without a strong political connection to achieve all what you said in your second paragraph” Starting a business or getting a job that pays big“ I’m sure in the next 10 years this young man can’t satisfy the British High Commission. So please stop discouraging him. And I’m sure most of the peope advicing people to stay back in this country are not in Nigeria, why can’t you stay and make it in Nigeria.
I’m even regretting it that I didn’t move out of the country when i was young. This habbit is common among abroad based Nigerian to discourage people not to come. We all know the truth Nigeria is not a better place for youth to hussle.
My advice to you as i have said earlier,@gberm this oyinbo people don’t want youths especially blacks in their country even if you have 10m in your account they will still refused you so far you are a young boy. They are just ripping off Nigerians of their money. If it’s compulsory you must meet your white friend tell him to consult an immigration lawyer over there to challenge their refusal decision this may cost you lot of money but it worth it i now what I’m saying. I’m been there for months even my grandma went there she doesn’t want to return again. Please let be sincere

Funny enough most of this ECO don’t go through peoples applications very well they will just come out with nonsense excuse to refuse the visa. I seen a lot of issues like that, one of my brothers was refused five times before he finally got the visa with thesame set of documents. So they are wicked. And they are ripping we African off our money As i said earlier they don’t want black youth in their country. Don’t allow anybody to scare you with ban. So far all your documents are genuine why will they ban you

Oga, try to be sincere with this guy, its obvious that he does not have anything that will bring him back to Nigeria once he got visa and beside he is to desperate the way he asked questions. he is earning 17k monthly and he is a student as well. Olugerm, please take your time to package yourself, lets forget about ban, do you think is a good deal to throw away 87k application fees just like that. please be patient, heed to advice of some people here.

You don't have to agree with my point. Many Nigerian youths are building N500,000 per month one-man businesses without any political connections. The fact that you think "having a political connection" is the only way you can succeed in Nigeria shows that you are ignorant of the opportunities going on around you.

The fact that you turn yourself into a "god" in this young man life by saying you are SURE that that he can't satisfy the british high commission in the next 10 years shows how wrong you are.

ALl this guy needs is 5 years. Hard work. And visiting the UK/USA or any other country will be a doddle for him. The only reason I am even bothering to answer this young guy is that I was once young like him, in this same exact position, and I don't want him to make the mistakes I made in the past. Took me many years to correct those mistakes. Now he has the opportunity to ride on shoulders of others.

Imagine this scenario...

You have a BIG house. You live in it with your family. A Visitor wants to come and stay in your house for two weeks. You give them rules & regulations.

1. You can't come to my house if you don't have transport money
2. When coming, make sure you come with your own clothing & feeding money
3. Make sure you convince me you wont spend more than two weeks (because I can't cope with you in my house for longer).

Now, imagine your intended visitor not doing any of the above, book a last bus from their village to your house, come with only N500 and showing intent that they don't want to go back to the village. Would you allow them in?

The uk has rules and regulation. Dudes current circumstances can't fulfill those rules. You are asking him to get his "white friend" to get immigration lawyer to fight his "visit visa" denial?

To ask an immigation lawyer in the UK to even look at a case will cost £500. For them to file a motion alone will cot another £1000. That is a total of £1,500.

Where do you want him to get that £1500 from?

Oh...you want his white friend to pay that fees? You clearly don't know what you are talking about. But like I said..you don't have to agree with my point.

Olugerm, yoruba elders have an adage that says "Igbeyin lo nye oloku ada". A rough translation means..."A farmer that goes to the farm with a blunt cutlass despite all advice will have himself to blame when he realizes he can't cut grass with it".

Nobody knows it all. Not even me. We share on here to learn from each other and get advice that will help us get what we want in our pursuit of travels. I hope you will take sensible advice. God bless.

Happy New month my great people. Please I need una support.
My uncle submitted his application (representative of overseas bussiness). He submitted for his wife and the children. They have all been to UK before and all still have valid 2 years tourist visa. It's been 2months now without news from the embassy. We have tracked TSL for the status but still not ready.
Can anyone advise on what step to take as this waiting time is unbearable.

Thanks

Olugerm, yoruba elders have an adage that says "Igbeyin lo nye oloku ada". A rough translation means..."A farmer that goes to the farm with a blunt cutlass despite all advice will have himself to blame when he realizes he can't cut grass with it".

Nobody knows it all. Not even me. We share on here to learn from each other and get advice that will help us get what we want in our pursuit of travels. I hope you will take sensible advice. God bless.

Following the advises given here which the @Olugerm does not want to accept. Well @Olugerm if you’re that desperate you can use the option of going through the Sahara, crossing the Mediterranean and the British Channel to meet your white friend. Many have tried this route and some have failed and other have succeeded. However, remember that President Buhari said that you’re on your own. A word is enough for the wise. You could also look for UK funded scholarship to study in the UK and be with your white friend.
