Most of these doctors are actually Hypocrites... buh from my encounters with doctors, there's less ego when they see you know what you doing... Doctors in Govt hospitals need to change their attitude to work and patients... please know you aren't the only professionals in the country... if other professionals start acting the way y'all act, things won't work out for everyone.. especially those at LUTH, UBTH etc.... |

We do not pray to fall seek but the way and manner Nigeria Doctors handle health issues baffles me. In short there is no emergency case in Nigeria hospitals. No need for emergency unit as it doesn't exist in medically. |

We cannot outrightly blame d doctor because d patient in such critical condition requires a lot to stabilize and do investigation. the kind of private hospitals described by op cannot be that equipped to attend to major emergency like head injuries, fractures and unconscious patients etc just bruises. my opinion though check mzwriters.com for your academic papers |

Nigerians are copycats in everything and can never get things right. These ones doing watsapp during lecture would later call themselves ɗoctors. Let's just praƴ we ɗo not get into emergency and pray more for the means to get out of this country. You can only enjoƴ sanity in saner climes. |

dermmy:Oga I beg to disagree. See even with your money Niggerian doctors will fúck you up. I buried my mum this year. There is nothing they asked us to bring that we didnt bring no test that we didnt run no money that we didnt bring. For 3 months they couldnt make a simple diagnosis. Her condition went from manageable to critical. I say 3 months and they cant make diagnosis till today of you ask me what killed the poor woman I can only tell you the symptoms. |

private clinics are business centres, they don't care. its all about your money. if you're sick, go to gov't hospitals for proper treatment and avail yourself of several professionals there. i use private for birthing kids only! 2 Likes |

ruffhandu:They dont know what they are doing. A foreign based doctor told me he said when working with Niggerian doctors that migrated to UK , he said the only thing they are good at is quoting what they crammed from books. My advice is if you find yourself sick in Niggeria go and write your will or fly abroad . 1 Like |

Why is nobody seeing what I'm seeing? Let's forget about the doctor-bashing for a second. The OP is a military man. Any military or paramilitary man that doesn't know simple lifesaving first aid like "pack/pressure/elevate" and primary survey is a useless military man. Any military that has soldiers like the OP that can't do first aid but can harass civilians is a useless military. Any country that its citizens don't recognise this fact is a useless country. 10 Likes 3 Shares |

Dear OP. The problem lies with your system and the people that run it, not the doctor's. Go and face your political masters 1 Like 1 Share |

Abeg what does this mean? You are trying to justify the reason why the life of someone was cut short. Did you read where the man offered to deposit money for his treatment? What hospital does not have a bank account.? Why insist on cash deposit? May you never find yourself in this situation. I agree with the op, Nigerian doctors don't value the life of their patients even their fellow doctors and nurses. A woman, a nurse in a particular private hospital in Lagos lost her child because of the doctor's negligence. The same hospital she works in. I was doing my IT then with the intention of reading a Master's degree in the medical sciences. That singular event changes my decision. If they can't take care of the people they see everyday, I am not surprised they treat strangers as they please. Baxk to the topic. No matter what, his family would have come looking for him and no matter what no amount of money can be worth a life. The whole process is f**ked up. As a doctor, you could have administered first aid, stabilize the patient and then start the wahala of collecting payment. I hope what the doctor did comes back to hunt him. I hope for everyone who could have helped another human being but decided to choose money instead be paid back in their own coin. sainty2k3: 3 Likes |

murphyibiam15: A rude banker, a rude officer and his rude self are not life and death matters. We are talking about life. Saving a life brought in an emergency situation. Those ones are quite different but when you are talking life people ought to be more humane and empathic. Shebi the man don die. He offered to use POS and transfer ooo |

Jaqenhghar:I know, you are not wrong. The few that know what to do are passionate with their job. The earlier people understand what a career is about, the better. Even with an offer of payment, he still insisted on cash, meaning he just didn't want to touch the patient. And, do you know most of them don't even feel anything when a patient dies in their hands? Woe is he who has hope on Nigerian doctors. |
