oga saying he wasn't given a chance to shine is an insinuation that he had a frosty relationship with venlo's coach or management? bros if kelechi showed better quality than all the midfielders in venlo the coach will have no excuse not to play him. lets stop this hype abeg. kelechi is one of our promising youngstars coming up whom i adore so much but he needs to start living up to the expectations. he is already 20yrs old and alot of players of his age are playing in top leagues and better teams. so lets stop the hype and excuses and hopehe lives up to the promise he showed in our cadet teams. when mikel was at his age he was already robbing shoulders with the some of best midfielders in the world at the time in london giants chelsea.

ajax would have been a better place for him to start his career but the lure of playing for a top epl team was too good for him to reject. he would have developed better in ajax and may be in their first team by now if he moved there

Opportunity and the decisions you make will be the determinants of your succes in football. Underpinned obviously by your talent and ability if you have any.

Raheem Sterling had the opportunity to go to Arsenal as a youngster. His Mum very wisely advised him not to but to go too QPR instead. The result of that decision, at age 14 Liverpool payed £1million for him. The rest as they say is history.

However, it says something about the supposed outstanding quality and potential that Nwakali is said to have by many. That he failed to be the outstanding player in a lowly Eredivisie team. Why do some think he will become the Seedorf or Pirlo of an Ajax team if given the opportunity. I very much doubt it, just wishful thinking.

He goes to the Eredivisie was essentially anonymous over the course of the season. He then as a result drops to the lower 2nd tier of Dutch football Eerste Divisie. At this level once again he was not outstanding. He then as a result ends up in essentially the Porto youth team Porto B. That's actually in real terms FAILURE not progression.

If a player is performing in a division consistently and with top class performances. Other teams want you, you become in demand.. Was Kelechi in demand apart from by the esteemed faceless scouting crew of the NFF.

There is a trend in the NFF where former youth players seemed to be invited continously to the SE without outstanding performances in thier clubs or leagues. It seems to be based on past youthful glories.

Or is there something else ❓ , after all as Falz says " This is Nigeria "

my reason of suggesting that ajax would have been a better choice for him is that he would have been schooled properly in the famous ajax academy by starting with their 2nd team jong ajax that competes in the dutch 2nd tier and progress to their main first team in the eredivisie.

i don't see nwakali playing for arsenal in the epl unless he impresses in a competitive league

shocked bros you mean the dutch 2nd division is rated above the scottish league? ayaf die i will prefer playing for kilmanock in the scottish top flight than playing for mvv in the dutch 2nd tier

The Scottish league is rated very lowly and I do not disagree with it.

However, the proximity to the EPL and the fact that the Scottish league mimicks the EPL style of play with its physicality and intensity to some degree. Creates opportunity for the outstanding players in the Scottish premiership. To go to really top teams across Europe.

So in terms of football progression going to Scotland is a far far better option than some other obscure leagues and or clubs in Europe.

Can I remind people that the most expensive center back in the world came from Celtic to the EPL and Liverpool. Last season Chelsea put in a bid for Celtics Dembele for £50 million that was rejected. Dembele is now at Lyon. Let's not forget Wanyama left Celtic Aluko left Rangers to the EPL.

Most Dutch players will consider a move to the Scottish premiership as career enhancing.

Funny goal from Porto B to equalize. Kelechi is in central midfield playing with his mates. Was handed a freekick just at the edge of the 18 yard box. Ballooned it. Not having a bad game still.
