God. On every banner, on every door, on every sign post. God. On the radios, the TV, the internet. God. In the morning, in the afternoon, at night. God, God, God. Where are you? Shall we pray? What do you get when you mix old Jewish myths with African superstition? Nigerian Pentecostalism. Nigerian Pentecostalism is an offspring of Christianity, nurtured and tutored in the fires of ignorance. It preaches that the Bible is unquestionable, that Jesus died for everyone, but a special 'few' have special access to the heart of God. These 'special' men claim to have special powers. And by these powers, they set themselves up as God's merchants, collecting God's tax on his behalf. Slowly, these men grew great businesses from their hardwork. The ministries grew larger, spanning multiple cities, creating new habits. Church became a regular thing, The Bible's past became today's reality, and every event was viewed and interpreted through the eyes of Moses. As spiritual knowledge grew, academic knowledge lost its luster. The classrooms became meeting places for prayer warriors, Bible knowledge was considered essential to daily living.... My advice to you.... Find a quiet place...probably the beach,hill,mountain or forest,as in dead quiet. Then think.....did all these natural things around me,the stars,ocean,mountains, trees etc just evolved...began to exist by accident without a master designer? Answer: Surely there is something, some kind of supernatural force somewhere ( You may give it any name to suit you) in charge. If you fail to realise these things and believe in your own personal abilities, then you need help like all Atheist. Atheism is the height of human foolishness. |

You believe in that Englishman, Charles Derwin evolution nonsense... same man who called on God he denied his existence to save his soul when he saw death. Whether the Jewish man lived 2000 years ago or not....he's timeless and unchangeable. God "The Creator" is timeless and everlasting. A supreme being that made all things possible. I don't know and hold no position to any creation hypothesis that lacks evidence. What do you mean by timeless and unchangeable? Explain timelessness and unchangeable to me pls. |

CAPSLOCKED:Read the Bible with an "open heart" without any prejudices. You know what? I was just like you....I had doubt about the existence of any thing called God. I also used to back up my claims of non existence of God with the reason that things happen they way they happen...because if there is God,why would an infant die,why would there be sufferings, earthquakes, tsunamis, accident....why can't God stop all these things. The answers to all these questions are embedded in the Bible. Don't just read it,study it and make comparison with whatever books or scientific journal and discover the hidden truth. |

Dalam0n:If they had claimed "all these things" were created by a Nigerian from any of it's tribes, I would understand how it could be our religion. It would at least show we have pride in ourselves. But unfortunately, instead of seeking for the kingdom of the gods in our own selves, in a confession of self worthlessness, we'd rather see it in the Jews! |

CAPSLOCKED:Lol I get your point. However the truth (the word) remains the word (truth) whether you belief or not. The fact that I may not belief that planet mars exist doesn't change its existence. To convince me of its existence I have to see it first otherwise anyone can bring up balderdash and present it as truth. This is where faith comes in,faith is the substance of things hoped for, it's the evidence of things unseen. But then again faith is not of this sensual world we live in and access through our five senses, the dimension of faith, some people call it the 4th dimension is a different and more vast world than our sensual realm,our sensual world was as a matter of fact created from the faith world/dimension.the scripture below confirms that. Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Now that we know that the evidence of the existence of God lies in the faith dimension, the question is: how can I belief something that lies beyond my mental capacity?
