Yes but I'd rather play in one of the top 5 leagues where the big boys do battle than somewhere in Czech, Poland etc Bhuuuhahaha.

Even Sparta is rated higher than Marseille, fiorentina et al but no Sane player will turn down Marseille for Sparta just as no Sane player will choose slavia ahead of Bordeaux or even lowly Reims grin grin

Does that change the fact that Slava Prague is rated highly than Bordeaux currently? Think about that one first. Ndo! grin

As much as I dislike his hurried invitation to the national team, I have a strong conviction this boy will join the Porto main team permanently before January.

Mark dis post and while u have ur doubts, remember I made a similar remark about Uzoho before he was handed his laliga debut.

I am quite familiar Porto business model considering my personal experience with Portuguese football, my view is ;

First of all , i am not under any illusions to believe that Rohr is the sole person deciding who gets selected for the SE. There are other players in this game and influences.

Nwakali is project not justified by talent but other interests. I expect Nwakali before December or early next year to get a few games with Porto first team. After that he will become associated with the Porto Brand and be sold or get a better loan move add to that the unjustified call up to the SE will give his value some momentum.

However, if he is woeful i mean falls so below the standard then its all over, the scam ends.

In football the paramount thing for every footballer is OPPORTUNITY who will get the opportunity is the issue. Opportunity must be deserved and given to those who deserve it the most.

A year is a long time in football and two years history and three years its archived if that performance is not continuous and consistent. Some on this forum clutch at straws and use media reports to underpin their unsubstantiated opinions. For instance on the backdrop of Kelechi exploits in the U17 World cup he was classed by one media outlet very misguided as number 48 in the World for players U19.

The more pertinent question is if more deserving players were given the same opportunity, i believe they would not be fringe players or potential players but outright essential team members by now. THAT IS THE ISSUE, Giving OPPORTUNITY to the most deserving.

I am aware of that. My only concern is the absence of Peter Olayinka. At least Ubong Ekpai featured for Plzen off the bench.

Modified:. I think he may be recovering from an Injury he sustained.

Wow now that's right, I hope he does well with them to join a better league ASAP. Me like that guy just got pissed by that move. I hope dey are in Europe this season bkus Dat will be a better place to showcase his talent?

Of course! Slava Prague missed out of the UEFA champions league but they made the Europa league.

Slava Prague and Bordeaux are in the same group. grin

Get those socks dirty boy!!! Welcome back to Soccer. He replaced the man he is deputising for, Perbet. smiley Happy. May this this be a breakthrough season for the lad.

The referee was just being a joker. The boy tracked back and cleanly won the ball but not only did the ref blow foul he gave him a card for complaining.

are both playing in same role...?
one is a striker and the other an attacking midfielder

so the basis of comparism does not follow.
we are currently short of creative players in the super eagles so nwakali invitation is justifiable.

One question is Nwakali in the here and now better than Sone Aluko or even Chuks Aneke or even Hope Akpan

If you bring his age mates into the question , Ebere, Tega and Oviemuno then there is no contest if youth is the issue.

I agree. I want to give the most deserving opportunity first. Else the less deserving may perform and shut out players that are potentially better, or would probably have done better for the national team. You never know until you give the player the opportunity. but you want to give the most deserving first. It will be to OUR own gain, as a national team, in the long run.

I think some of us are failing to look at the big picture.. but busy being sentimental comparing player A to B.. At the end of the day, we all want the team to win. How about we build the best possible team we can build?

i just saw the highlights of porto B match today and i was wondering if the players get paid coz the stands were empty. the german 3rd teir seem better than what i just saw few minutes ago

I was in Portugal a few years ago specifically about an English born player Sporting Braga were interested in, during that period there were discussions with Sporting and Porto.

They treated African players like a cattle market they had a residence it was good, but the players in the B team were barely getting 1500 euro a month. In the EPL top clubs, you have a plethora of youth players on £20k a week for the top performers. I can add at this time in Portugal TPI had not been outlawed so there were a lot of sharp practices.

The lesson its not a place for a player who is progressing and has options unless you are a desperate Dan, and coming fresh from Africa and escaping Financial hardship I guess its understandable.

Abeg leave those people. They don't want the good of the team.

Imagine, Nwakali better pass Sone, Onomah, Abdul, Eze and even Chuks Aneke. Even Chuks Aneke better pass Nwakali by miles for now.

He is starting off with Feirense U-23s according to the last reports I followed on the lad. And there was something to still sort out with Man Utd I think, which have likely been sorted a while before now.

Victor Osimhen has made his bow.

That's very Infact exceptional progress for him, now can he show quality and score goals.

This is not a top team he needs to be a regular.

This is Porto B game today at home. Very low standard.

This is the level Uzoho was play in the 3rd division of Spain.

We are supposed to believe that this league is better than Scotland and Norway??

Lol... it is better. Take it or leave it. Chikena. I am sure you were not paying attention to the talents on display. K.Nwakali had a very decent game. That is all that matters so your campaign against the lad is noted aiit. Thank you. The overall standard and quality on display in the second tiers of the Big 7 trumps Scotland, Norway, Latvia and even Albania. You cannot bring us one game and use it to rubbish the good standard of the Ledman Liga Pro. smiley

Finally, you certainly do not and cannot know more than Gernot Rohr who wants to have a look at the lad especially in a role where we are in need of fresh options.
