I doubt he makes up to this in profits every month
while he isnt the first to venture into this business , a lot of factors will determine if he would be able to make such a huge profit monthly.

The nature of that areas power supply ( erratic or constant), how much he spends on fuel monthly , where he is located ( marketplace or residencial area) , and his securitt measures to ensure no phone is stolen are some of the biggest factors that will affect his income.

If you're not mad you will also consider the fact that his generator might be fuel reserving and you and I know that some generators can use five litres of fuel for over 10 hours.

Secondly if you're not too mad you will consider him charging about 200 phones, 50 power banks, maybe 40 torchlights', and several desktop batteries making it totally up to 400 items daily for #50 which means he makes #20,000 daily and expenses of #5,000 lets assume.

What makes you think he cannot make such amount of money or even more?

If you're not all that mad you will also price that every rechargeable never last for 10 hours of continual usage and as such this is what people cannot do without.

A friend of mine started this in my sch and makes roughly #5,000 from it daily with expenses aside.

Also the area must be light out I mean no electricity and also even if there was light, some persons must still charge their phones at charging ports.

they charge more than 100 phones a day. I do patronize them a lot and most times we collect phones even before it fulls plus they work till around 11pm and collect N50 per phone.

It is possible to make 180,000 a month by charging phone.

Let me break it down.

I assume the man charges 160 phones per day at 50.

50 times 160 = 8000

minus 2000 daily for fuel.

You are left with 6000 daily.

6000 times 30 is 180000 monthly.

This figure is possible especially if the man has a big shop with over 30 sockets and extensions.

Some customers dont wait for phone to fully charge before collecting it.

Most phones take 2-3 hours to fully charge.

So making 180k a month is 100% possible.

180/30 = N6,000 per day

If it take 4hrs to charge a phone and charges 10 simultaneously.

Working for 16hrs = 40 phones charged per day
@ N200 per phone, he all make = 40*200 = N8000

Now, that make sense
I NO DOUBT BUT, NO ONE WILL CHARGE A PHONE THAT WILL RUN DOWN UNDER 24HRS 4 #200 IN MY AREA ITS 30-50 NAIRA, AND NO ONE WORKS 4 16HRS, THOSE GUYS COME OUT BY 9AM NO B OFFICE WORK NA AND CLOSE BY 7 OR 8PM, BUT I KNOW THEY CAN CHARGE AS MUCH AS 50-100 PHONES SIMULTANEOUSLY TWICE A DAY SO IT'S POSSIBLE TO HIT MORE THAN 6K A DAY, BUT WHO GOES TO WORK 30 DAYS A MONTH 9-7PM. ANYWAY HIS MONEY MY PHONE

Why then are you doubting when you don't know the condition of all the factors you mentioned.

The 2 major factors here is competition and electricity supply.

If the supply is in that area is bad, and he is the only one doing it in the entire area.

Fuel is a factor but will no count much if there are customers because the same volume of fuel that will charge 10 phones will also charge 30 phones.

Daily charge duration of at least 10hrs daily 10hrs X 30days =300hd
If he had 100 sockets and each phone charges for 2hrs and collects N20 per charge.
N20X100socketsX5rounds =N10,000 daily. Subtract N1,000 for fuel, N1,000 for feeding & miscellaneous and N2,000 more for his assistant.
You have a balance of N6000 straight to the bank daily and N180,000 monthly.
I don't see why anybody would doubt this.

now I did that in camp during Orientation of corps members after my set...

the accommodation provided for corps members in that camp have no sockets for charging and the place had poor electric supply....so will did made a charging box of between 30 to 45 sockets for phone charging....though we had no generator...

There was aman who had generator among us , we do contribute money to fuel his generator when there is no light...and we were connected

in all within or less than 3 weeks of the camping I made #17 000 plus while my friend's share was around #24 000 or there about ....

we just took the risk as corps members then.

like I said you must not be seen doing such in camp as a corps member.. it is against NYSC regulations

note:: the sharing formula was base on our investment each..

I invested #5000

now just imagine if it was a continuous activities

How is it a target for thieves?
Lets say you have 20 phones charging at a time, with each phone worth an average of #20,000. That is total worth is 20*20000 = #400,000.
A thief scouts the place and sees that you dont have a security man, he's going to raid the place, cos thats easy 400k in his pockets. And he's gonna do it again, and again cos thats just really easy money.

Before you say get a security man, know that you cant really afford that with this business

Omg, so even if you are there, if a thief holds a gun to your head, even a knife you would not give up the phones??
Unless there is a security expert in the premises or the location is impenetrable to thieves there's a good chance you would get robbed, multiple times. undecided

This story seems incomplete.
It depends on the area his business is located and the calibre of customers he has.
I can easily go to a viewing centre to watch a match for 2 hours and also charge my phone.
With bet shops everywhere why do I need to go and pay someone to charge my phone. When I can charge and watch over my phone.
Something is missing in this report and to make 180k profit after expenses
OR
Does he get his fuel supply for free

4 litres (N600) for I pass my neighbour can last 12 hours.

6k per day as pure profit is not astronomical, It's quite normal.

Many people u see as less privilege doing various useless businesses make 2 - 4 times of ur salary.
