lf Yemen can inflate their figures anytime to bring out new data as the best economy in the middle East and the lMF, trading economics, World Bank, would just put this on their website, without their own checks and balances, then those would no longer be reliable websites or quotations for GDP figures, but the last time l checked they are.
They agree Algeria is 150Billion dollars, but Algeria is not only less populated than Nigeria but also less diversified, so if Algeria is 150 Billion dollars, then of course Nigeria at worst can only be around 300Billion dollars, and these are what the official figures state.

There is one thing I have learnt on this thread,brother. Nigeria has many problems but even at that,she is seriously envied by many.Hate Nigeria, love Nigeria, you can't ignore Nigeria.What else would make grown men halfway across the continent wake up in the morning and log on to this nairaland.. go to bed at night with nairaland on their minds. These rich people are the same who owns most of your industries, nice buildings, hotels. They run your transport industry, they're your employers. If such people in your country are either Indian and Arab or white then how can you convince us that your people are not hungry and poor when you have a very tiny economy owned by non-blacks who are a mere minority?

Talking of slums, 90% of Dar is a slum. In Nairobi we have some bad slums but they occupy only 6% of the area. Go to Google maps, 90% of Dar is basically a slum.
