JoebieII: You know 'paper' and 'names' do not matter in football nowadays Look at Saudi Arabia the supposed 'whipping boys of football' get heavily beaten by Russia but performed wonderfully and almost snatched a point against a much better Uruguay Seychelles may use the heavy defeat against Libya as motivation to perform wonderfully against us |

JoebieII: Situation better than Nwakali?? Seriously? A guy who is finding it hellish getting into match day squads?? What makes his inactivity better? Because he is at a far bigger club? Abegii.. That is gobbledygook. Nwakali is seeing consistent gametime in the ledman liga pro. Solanke is being silently frozen out at Liverpool... Simple fact... And when Nwakali was being torn down here you didn't speak up but you doing it now because Comodo is saying the truth about Solanke's out-of-matchday squad role? Oh please... 4 Likes 2 Shares

Solanke only lost out on a loan deal. He could easily have been farmed out but Steven Gerard interest was turned down. Solanke has a better youth record compared to Nwakali. my point remains they are both good talents.. no need to tear any of them down. Modified. The statements I saw against Nwakali were comments on his club record. They were salient points, not an attempt to tear him down. I remember a moniker saying something against him just recently, and I answered Nwakili will eventually come good. relax bro.. I have nothing against him. TheSuperNerd: 3 Likes 1 Share |

We are not talking youth record. Solanke has an U-20 golden ball and world title well so does Nwakali at U-17 level. And he is a striker... He is supposed to have more goals naa is he not? Lol... Fact is we are talking about their progress so far and current situation... K.Nwakali is getting games in a league that is decent. While Solanke is in one of the biggest sides on Earth in arguably the world's best league (although we all can agree La liga is number 1) and he is being constantly left out of matchday squads. Please how is his inactive state better than a functional and super active Nwakali at Porto B? I believe both are fantastic talents but the truth remains that one is playing and has the attention of his national team right now while the other is still languishing on the outskirts of Liverpool matchday squads and still relying on his youth football records. Abeg, this is how it is. No colorings. JoebieII: 4 Likes 2 Shares |

What opportunities? To feature for Liverpool in the Premier League is a big achievement for his age. He seized his opportunity with both hands playing in the U20 WC. He is only 20 just like Nwakali. There are only a few (if any) Nigerians out there of the same age with a better record. comodo: 4 Likes 1 Share |

Getting sick of this K. Nwakali up and down stuff. Why are most of us doing like as if football is predictable mathematics? Wonder kid at cadet level may never be a star at senior level Nonentity at cadet level may turn out to be good, awesome or even the mainstay of senior level. and so are other possibilities with the career of footballers out there. This comparism with Mikel is what is even making it suck to me. Leave the guy alone. Does he deserve the call up? No really. But We know that the way Nigerian football is bring handled now is in such a way that with all Nigerian footballers in the diaspora, we can have almost 11 different national teams if we want to. put hands are full. But we need to plan for the future, and that's the reason I see why he was invited. We now acting like he won't improve atall? come off it pls. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Iheanacho was 18 going on 19 and had already started makinghis mark in the EPL at another big giant in Man City. Nacho still boasts a good record while at City. What has Solanke done in the EPL? That is the problem. And now he is bloody inactive. JoebieII: 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Exactly... Just as saying K.Nwakali has done nothing when that is an outright lie. K.Nwakali was being watered down and you said nothing. You tag all that was said salient points? Lol... And when Comodo offers simple truth about Solanke's, you jump in and wanna play silent defender reminding us that both are Nigerians. Abegi Joebie just park well. I guess Rohr must be "silly" to invite a player who has done "nothing" for a crucial game where 3points is needed to get our Afcon qualifiers campaign back on track. Yeah choice of words and also timing of it says it all. JoebieII: 2 Likes |

Ohhh no... I am only reminding us that at 18, a Nigerian was already taking the EPL by storm even with cameos to his name AT A BIG CLUB TOO. So your excuse of Solanke being in a big club in the EPL as an achievement does not hold water... At all. JoebieII: 3 Likes 1 Share |

And the simple fact remains that he has done "something"... No matter how small. That something was significant enough in Rohr's eyes to get an Invite and rightly so, so that the crew can get a closer look at the lad in a role where we are lacking obvious options. I wonder why this is so hard for most folks here to understand... They are not thinking of the team but only of this or that who was not called up. It is funny. JoebieII: 1 Like 1 Share |

Former Warri Wolves Feeders midfielder, Igbekeme James Omonigho has made his third consecutive full competitive appearance for Spanish Segunda Liga side, Real Zaragoza in the Spanish Segunda División since making his move from Portugal. The highly gifted midfielder was a star performer in his team's 1-1 home draw with visiting Las Palmas at the Estadio de la Romarenda on Saturday. Known as Otele James in Nigeria, James Igbekeme played all 90 minutes in Zaragoza's 2-1 home win over Rayo Majadahonda on 19 August and also in the tie against Reus Deportiu away from home at the Estadio Camp Nou on 25 August. The tricky midfielder who started his career at All-Stars FC Effurun at Uvwie LGA of Delta State was a teammate of Super Eagles World Cup Star, Oghenekaro Etebo at Warri Wolve Feeders before making his move to Portuguese side G.D. Ribeirão in 2013 through the efforts of Nigerian scout Paul Ojo. Igbekeme James Otele signed for fellow Portuguese LigaPro side Gil Vicente F.C. in June of 2017 and made his league debut on 6 August 2017, starting and scoring the winner in a 2–1 away defeat of FC Porto B. He eventually moved to Spain joining Zaragoza on a four-year deal in June 2018. The 23-year-old is currently being monitored by national handlers as he is being considered for a possible future invitation to the Super Eagles. 3 Likes |

Arsenal coach Unai Emery has revealed the real reason why Nigeria international Alex Iwobi was not named in the 18-man squad for Sunday afternoon's Premier League tie at Cardiff City. Without Iwobi in the team, the Gunners won their second successive game, beating the Bluebirds 3-2, with Shkodran Mustafi, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette finding the net at Cardiff City Stadium. Speaking to Sky Sports just before the start of the game, Emery explained that the Nigerian was not in the traveling party to Wales because of illness. The Arsenal number seventeen has been named in the latest Super Eagles roster for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles on September 8 and it remains to be seen if he will report for international duty on Tuesday. Iwobi was a non-playing substitute against Manchester City on the opening day of the 2018-19 season and started against Chelsea and West Ham prior to his illness. The 22-year-old saw only two minutes of action in Nigeria's last two competitive matches against Iceland and Argentina but played 62 minutes in the 2-0 loss to Croatia. 2 Likes |

It is not emotion at all. It is a simple response to how quick you are to jump in as Solanke's attorney just for a simple truth being said of his inactivity at Liverpool while you stayed mostly silent when K Nwakali was being derided by some here. Especially by Southgate. If you wanna play "show some love" for our players... Then do it for all. Simple. JoebieII: 2 Likes 2 Shares |
