Infinity war is better but Upgrade tried. The two cannot really compare directly because it will be very unfair to Upgrade. Infinity war is a sci-fi blockbuster that spent a lot of money polishing it's cgi enhanced action sequences. On a 55" 4k tv, the graphics is out of this world. But for For a low budget sci-fi psychological action mystery, Upgrade punched well above it's weight. It managed to put a lot of high budgeted sci-fis to shame. The directer deserves an oscar.

There were a lot of one on ones. Ebony macau vs Dr Strange. Hulk vs Thanos. Steve rogers and black widow vs the two Thanos warriors. Iron man vs Thanos. Thor vs Thanos. The big thanos monster vs Bruce banner. Black widow vs one half of the thanos duo. so many.

There's something very endearing about STEM. Maybe it its unemotional practicality. That practicality however is a reminder of how cold-blooded the thing really is. Cold blooded, manipulative and inhuman

It depends though. A good writer can spin a crazy sequel from this first one. Many of the good movies we remember were supposed to be standalone movies but the reception forced the producer's hand and the resultant sequels dwarfed the original ones. Anyway if this one ends here, then kudos to them. For once, an unpredictable sci-fi movie.

Without big money and CGI, avengers is nothing. I love avengers movie but upgrade has really impressed me the most.

As for deadpool2, that movie is shiit. It wasn't half the top notch action sequence in upgrade. Wasn't too impressed.

Deadpool and Antman are action comedies. You should understand that you are biased naturally against these movies if you don't like comedy. So before you rate such movies, you should consider your bias.

my initial theory from the onset when Grey & his wife had that accident & were brutally mugged was that Eron was the mastermind but at the very end, it was made clear that Eron was also a puppet for Stem, I couldn't help but appreciate the unexpected brilliant twist.

This movie is a proof that you don't need all the special effect in the world to make an amazing SciFi movie. For this, its a +1 to my ratings.
