During the early 1990’s most dealers would purchase cars in the USA without paying for them and later exporting same to Nigeria . So overtime dealers have found it hard to get visa,so I think your spouse occupation affected your renewal. Ciao Lipsyred: 2 Likes |

I wouldnt advise you leave without getting her US Passport first, I mean you spent thousands of dollars for that and you want to return empty handed, alot is happening at the embassy in Nigeria lately. You can always pay extra to change your date, so you can have enough time to sort out the issue and get the passport to avoid stories that touch....a word is enough for the wise Nabie: 5 Likes |

Your LO needs a passport to travel out of Nigeria. If getting the notorization is absolutely impossible, then you need to get a Nigerian passport. Yes you can get the US passport here. But please try all you can to get the notorization, just to keep things simple and easy. Nabie: |

Lipsyred:Sorry. It is believable to spend money in order to give birth in the states because of dual citizenship but it is difficult to believe that you would spend all that money to visit a pediatrician in the states when the child is not having health challenges. I know your hubby didnt apply with you but you should know that some car dealers abused their visit Visa. It is easier and more profitable when they are on ground in the states to buy and ship cars to Nigeria. They stay back for years shipping cars and making enough money until the time comes to leave. Enjoy your dubai vacation. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Mamaiyanu:Don’t know if am allowed to post it here, but long and short story they are not in position to update a record of an already issued visa. My B1/b2 visa allows for childbirth in the US Before I travel I should ensure I have my doctors appointment letter, details of where I will be receiving medical care, estimated cost of financial medical care because immigration officials will ask for it. I should know that childbirth in the US is expensive and cost can escalate if there are complications, I will be required to pay all my bills. I should ensure I collect my itemized statement of account from my healthcare provider and receipts. I have just summarized the letter in detail. 1 Like |

Good morning all, in the spirit of giving Back, I want to share my interview I attended yesterday 5th Sept 2018, 8.30am in Lagos. It all ended in praise, visa was granted. Pls u can click the search bottom and read more of my post and previous experiences on this platform. I was the one that Renenewed my visa in feb 2016 via drop box for family vacation, after I got the visa, along the line my doctor here in Abuja decided to refer me to a doctor in US cos am a high rist patient and have lost 5 pregnancies plus still birth after my first child I had in 2010. Since I already had a valid US visa, I decided to try Us, a colleague introduced me to Nairaland and I started following. I had to do letter of change of intent, but my POE at Chicago was something else. To cut the long story short. I renewed my visa this year via drop box in Abuja buy was given a 221g and I went for interview in April and was denied. I reapplied in May, when I found out I was pregnant again and did B2 and B1/B2 for my son & Decided to try Lagos this time . VO ; why are u going to the Us? Me; for vacation and child birth.i was in the US 2016, I had a baby there. Thou the intention of getting the visa then was for family vacation, but my OBGYN here refered me out after I had obtained that visa cos of high risk and I wrote the Embassy notifying them of change in plans Vo; can see u wrote to Abuja Me; yes. Vo; is the Us baby Emmanuel? Me ; yes. Vo; how much did u pay for medical apart from other expenses Me; About 7k dollars , I have the receipts if u wouldn't mind I show u. VO; don't worry we may or may not get to that. Are u going to use same Hosp and doctor in Arizona this time around Me: yes and I also have new correspondences from both doc and Hosp. Vo; where do u work Me: I work with via bla bla Bank and started describing my duties and added I have worked with them for 10yrs now. Vo: how much is ur monthly take home, Me, I take home bla bla, I have bla bla allowances, I also have my bank statements here and I also have a part time business running where in employed people managing it for me and I make bla boa amount monthly frm the biz. Vo; what's the biz into? Me; Fashion designing and tailoring. Vo; he asked what my husband was into and if he has a valid visa at the moment Me, he is into real estate, they build, sales and maintain houses. He is into partnership with his boss. He couldn't use his last visa obtained two years ago cos his sheadules was right with lots of projects all over the country. This time, he is busy with Election campaign as his Boss is contesting for our state governorship in the forth coming election. Vo;Ok I see Me; but he may apply and come when the baby is born for just 2wks Vo; when is ur Edd Me ; bla bla When do u intent travelling Me bla bla Vo; can I see all ur receipts Me, I gave him everything, from doctor to Hosp to epidural to pediactrician receipts and zero balances and letter on non indebtedness. VO; HE went thru them, ask a question on my doctors package, why I was given that particular one cos there where 3 packages for self pay patients. Did they ask me at the doc how much I earn over there b4 giving me that package? Me, I said no. They only told me am qualified for that package since I was paying in full on the first day of my registration and I wasn't using any insurance. Note my doctors fee was 1100dollars for VD and it included all test done cos they accepted most of my Nigerian test results. Vo; let me se ur bank statement Me; I forwaded my two bank statements, My letter frm HR to him as he was going thru, I quickly told him of the two lump sums I had in three diff months were monies invested in treasury bills and fixed deposits that matured. That I want to use them pay my Hosp bills. Vo; How do u intent converting them to dollars to pay ur bills. And do u have a budget of the cost? Me; I gave him my budget sheet, told him i work with a bank, so I told him of PAT which am entitled to 4k dollars b4 travelling, i told him of form A used in paying hosp/ school fees abroad and wire directly to the Hosp acct. That was how I paid for the previous child birth in 2016 b4 leaving Nig. Vo; can see on the system u were in Washington Dc in 2015, what happened? Me; was a family trip for just 3weeks VO: way was ur experience with the homeland securities like in 2016 in the US when u arrived? Me; I told him I used Chicago as my POE and how my secondary inspection went, how they had to call my Hosp to confirm the payment I made via wire transfer b4 coming , called my host to be sure she was expecting me. Went thru my phone. Wanted to stamp me in for 2months according to my return ticket I refused and asked them to stamp me in at least for 3months so I will be sure baby arrives and i would be done with documentations by then. But as God may have It, I left on the day of my return ticket cos I was done with everything. Vo; asked the date I left the US and was checking my passport Me; I told him. He kept tying for a very long time, and I kept praying in my mind. Finally he told me my visa have been approved I should pick up with my son's own in Abuja in 4days as I requested cos i reside in Abuja. Note; he didn't ask anything about my son, he was busy making noise and playing My 7yrs old I had here in Nig first. So I just told him that I will be travelling with him if school have vacated by then, if not he will come with my mum for the Xmas holiday since my mum have a valid visa by then the new baby must have arrived. It all ended in praise, but It was a long interview close to 30mins, when I came out some people kept asking me what happened cos it was quiet long and so much questions for me. But I give all glory to God. It's good to be truthful and pray, there is nothing God cannot do. Thanks for this platform, I got the knowledge frm here. 32 Likes 2 Shares |

adycatus: Wow! This is awesome, congratulations is very much in order.... This wasn't an easy one, thanks to God and your proper preparation. The Chicago POE experience seem to have served as a training for you I swear, came in handy. Once you actually pass through and survive secondary inspection at the US POE, nothing scares you again almost at every airport worldwide. You actually come across as a woman of steel though, the type that may be "pretending" not to know so to speak, but know loads, busy cleverly covering loose ends and stylishly blocking loopholes. You had this together, sound responses all the way especially with adding the extras you weren't yet asked by the VO. Oh, on the POE experience, I like the part where you even refused the 2 months stamp, some good gut backed with clear reasoning as to why. God bless you all dear parents for the things you do to place your kids on an advantageous pedestal ab initio, God bless and multiply your seeds sowed. Regards 11 Likes |
