tbaba1234:Is Curtis of Jack Bauer's 24 his father? looks so much alike. Adetiba sounds like a big bell too. As for our boys, I'm glad they are balling. I don't mind them showing the world what they've got, not winning the u17, but taking the u20 straight to the cleaners and not letting Europe rest for the next decade. That's more like it. |

ChrisKels: This has also been my view. Leave Manu to keep managing the U17. The boys were just unlucky against Burkina Faso because we bossed that game from after that shaky start. I recon both teams to meet again at the final. |

gamaliel9: If this team can qualify from this zone, they will be hot favorites to win the CAF U17 and with some improvements would also be hot favorites to win the FIFA U17 WC. Manu is a rare Gem and a blessing to Nigerian football. Assembling and coaching a team at this level no be beans. |

ChrisKels: A Leopard doesn't change its spots. My response was factual and objective. But your so blinded by negative presumption your unable to rationalise a response. I could mention that he was injured from March 2018 and didnt play all season but of course that would be too easy. I actually think he didn't perfom to the requirements of a Mick McCarthey football style, that is the definitive kick and rush football. He needed to adapt his football and forget about ball on the deck football which Mick simply doesn't play. Below at the end a quote from Dominic Iorfa Snr. That was published in the Nigerian media in March 2017. But these complaints started in late 2016 and the commitment made to Nigeria was in summer of 2016. This was the year 216 when Crystal Palace & West Ham expressed interested in him and Wolves blocked it. That commitment to Nigeria actually worked again him not for him the idea he us using the SE to bolster his career his baseless. This was the same similar position Yobo was in at Everton after he decided to go to AFCON. Former Nigerian striker Dominic Iorfa has said that his son, Iorfa Jnr, must play for the Super Eagles as long he’s alive. The ex-BBC Lions of Gboko forward said Paul Lambert, the manager of his son’s club, has denied him regular playing time since he expressed his willingness to play for Nigeria over England, his country of birth. Of late, Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr, has been meeting with many young Nigerian players in top European teams who are yet to be capped at all international levels by the countries of their birth. One of the players he recently met with was Dominic Iorfa Jnr. Iorfa said the Wolverhampton Wanderers manager no longer sees the need to develop his son since he intends to play for Nigeria. “You know Rohr came to Wolves recently and met with my son (Dominic Jr) and Carl Ikeme (Wolverhampton’s first choice keeper),” Iorfa Snr said. “Since he learned that my boy wants to play for Nigeria, he has been benching him. He believes there is no need developing him for Nigeria. “I have said it that my son must play for Nigeria. Just that I want him to play for Nigeria when he is 23. But as long as I am alive, he must play for Nigeria. No be me born am?” https://www.thecable.ng/dominic-iorfa-long-im-alive-son-must-play-super-eagles And for those comparing Dominic to Osimhen and Isaac Success there is none. Totally different set of circumstances. Highly misguided but birthed out of negative prejudice. 1 Like |

safarigirl: Uche Agbo I know, who is Musa Muhammad? What did he do this season to be invited? Nada. The point still largely remains that Rohr's list is faulty and his scouting team are inept in scouting better players. That's all. EOD 1 Like |

ChrisKels: ChrisKels: So, this is the mindset you're talking about. Let me remind you that ever before he became U17 coach or ever he released his U17 team list, I had already spoken against his corruption. I was vindicated when he turned Muhammad Ali and fought dirty because of em share of money from Kelechi iheanacho transfer move as a sole agent. I already knew him and his attitude from his days in the National team. So, your talk no be the reason though I also suspect he is that kind of person. EOD 2 Likes |

forgiveness: What I find on this forum which is not in the least bit surprising. Is the intentional delusion as it concerns our inherent nature and attitudes. In Nigeria, " where man deh work, ee go chop" Rohr has been in Africa for a decade. He understands how we do things and is turning a blind eye to it. As they say silence is consent. That's why people like Glenn Hoddle can not be contracted to the NFF. Do you now think that all of a sudden NFF officials have now on the arrival of Rohr, decided to adopt integrity, honesty and become TOTALLY SELF- LESS in pursuing national interest. The idea is you can do both. Salisu is a classic example, has anything happened ❓ Any other place him being caught would have started an immediate investigation into the whole activities of the NFF. Rohr will be influenced and he will not take decisions entirely on his own without consultation. He may be hoodwinked too. But can he bite the hands that feed him, I doubt it. The scouting team is not inept they have thier own agenda, which only they can see. Or we have decided not too see. 1 Like |

tbaba1234: I even expect to see a couple of 14 years olds. But for now they cannot be more than 16 to be eligible next year. And to the bolded, some times one wonders if the same parameters were used while this MRI was done for different countries. You recall how older the CIV 2013 team looked compared to our own boys. And recall also the Malian team that faced Amuneke's team of 2015 in the final. They were a lot thicker and more physical than our boys. Could it be that the bones of our boys attain complete fusion earlier than those of our neighbors? Could it also be diet related? Maybe we eat food with too much calcium and carbohydrates here (fact!), which could have aided faster bones development (just thinking). Maybe those with knowledge of anatomy, in the house, can lend a helping hand here. Is there a direct relationship between type of diet and rate of bones development or precisely fusion? cc: Michael2 cc: TheSuperNerd cc: Confun 1 Like |
