So where is the letter given to you informing you of the cancellation of your visa?
That may be a good place to start because what you posted is the one given she you were denied recently.

The refusal paper given to me is what they gave to other people and it is same language. no home tie and they didn't check documents and my bank statements so how they arrive at that is my major concern.
Attached is the green paper when my visa was cancelled and the pink for my latest refusal.

If connecting to Usa through a third country , the Airline staff have a portal to check if your permitted or cleared to travel to the US.
This program started after sep 9/11 ,Turkey Airline had to fly you back to Nigeria cause your visa was already revoked even though it was not stamped

Kindly google consular lookout and support system (Class) and also Security Advisory Opinion

Note that airlines have access to check visa status particularly if it's a USA to be sure u have the access to entry. More so Nigeria system have been failing since 19 gbogboro. Don't rely on it and how are u sure the passenger didn't settle in nija so immigration turned a blind eye?

I will want to say specifically that I never used anything forged to apply for usa tourist visa. I have my companies and bank statements and invitation letter (which were not even checked at the cause of the interview anyway). I travelled to Kenya, Dubai, Ghana, South Africa with my wife.
what I really want to know is "how can I know why visa was cancelled and why last month own was refused"?
More so I have never applied for Canada as some people were commenting towards that direction.
what I only know I defaulted is not going when I stated on ds160 form that I will be going.

Why didn't you visit the embassy when you got a notification concerning the cancellation before you decided to go ahead and travel? Someone just stated that you were indeed notified has you mentioned such on anither thread.That would have given you the chance to know why but you were trying to play smart and the embassy too will show you that they are smarter.

You eventually went to the embassy on the pretext of applying and you would be assessed as such. If you had presented yourself as on a fact finding mission when you went for your interview, you would have known the reason for cancellation.

Please be aware that there is no VO here as such no one knows or can tell you why, so go back to the embassy and find out then come back here afterwards to give us the gist. Atleast also to safe guard your travel immigratuon to other A rated countries in future; you never can tell.

Yes valid for at least 15 days to submisdion

Guys,my story is long so let me just shorten it,I was born in the US to a diplomat father,I was issued an America passport,birth certificate and a social security card....I came into Nigeria when I was 2yrs,when I turned 18yrs and went to do renewal....my passport was cancelled becos they said "it was issued in error becos children born to diplomat don't acquire citizenship becos the law of that country don't apply to them" my Nigeria passport still has birth place as United States,I still have a photocopy of my US passport before it was cancelled and after it was cancelled, original copy of my birth certificate and social security card and the letter acknowledging the cancellation.....now I want to apply for Visit Visa,with my virgin passport.....wat are my chances?

If a diplomat have a baby in a foreign country where he/she is been posted. The child is not a citizen of that country rather the citizen of the country of birth of the diplomat. The cancellation on this ground is justifiable but like someone suggested, u can consult an immigration lawyer.
Alternatively, u apply just like everyone else if u really do have connection to naija, that should fly, best wishes!

I will be going for my visa interview next week Thursday in Abuja. Am going to Texas for a conference to represent Africa region in a competition alongside my team members. It's a competition of five players. Five schools from Nigeria will be going. We won the competition last year where I also represented my school but everyone from my school was denied visa last year. Just two students of the five got from another school and they represented Africa well by coming second. With the determination again we won this year. So we are to travel to Texas for the finals.
Last year during my interview, it was at Lagos. I had a lovely conversation with the VO. She was interested in the competition I told her more about it and how we qualified she was like wow interesting. We had a conversation for like 3 minutes where I tut I was gonna get it even my teammates tut I would get it because of the way the conversation was going. But to my surprise I was denied.
Already two students from one of the five schools going were denied visa this week.
I need advice on how to go about the interview this year so as not to get denied again.
Cuz it's really heartbreaking after preparing something long for a competition then you get denied.

Got to The US Embassy, Abuja 6:30am, started the normal proceedings, got to Time for Interview, was 5th on The queue, window 7, First Man was an Ibo by tribe, advanced and he came for renewal, he was asked few and friendly questions, The VO even joked with his red cap and asked him to teach him how to say "hello" in Ibo and even asked if He (VO) can have a red cap too...though someone interpreted for him, and it was a white paper, then a coupled followed in same window and they were just asked few questions and pink paper, then a lady, same pink paper, then Two minors were given white paper in window 9, and it got to My turn, same window 7 where these, and it goes this
Me: Good morning Sir
VO: Good morning, passport pls
Me: Have it please
VO: Mr Osa why are you visiting
Me: For Tourism purposes and also to visit MY Uncle and His Family
VO: what do you do?
Me: I am a 4th Year Mechanical Engineering Student here in Nigeria ....
VO: what does your Parents do?
Me: They are retired
VO: Are you married?
Me: No
VO: Rapping. ............pink paper
All My stay there, it was just one elderly man that got his Visa approved.

They want to travel immediately after. If she does spousal then they would have to wait till after the wedding before they can schedule the interview. Is there any possibility of them going together shortly after the wedding?

When one is already in the Usa

They must have tried to contact you. US Embassy wont low-key cancel your visa, without letting you know. What was the purpose of getting the visa in the first place, was it for a conference or what. The only explanation for your cancelled visa is by quoting the section 221B in that refusal letter - everyone knows the US wont tell you why you were refused. That is your only explanation.

1. You are not married.
2. You are still in school.
3. You are financially dependent, you can't afford your trip.
4. Your parents are retired, how will they sponsor your "tourism".
5. How did your Uncle get into the US, maybe you want to follow the same route
6. Your Uncle in the US, is now a tie to the US, you may not come back to Nigeria again.
7. You are not ready.

People who go for competitions in the US, usually have a knack, for disappearing. So to have a chance at getting a visa
- you have to show financial buoyancy or sponsorship - parents bank statements or affavidit of financial support from your school or competition organisers.
- that the competition is internationally recognised.
- your school is highly-rated.
- show proof of your identity i.e. admission letters etc

Who is sponsoring your trip? It seems you didn't convince them that you are financially prepared for the trip. As a student with retired parents how do you intend to fund the trip?

my friend B1/B2 interview is in 6 week from now, though she is yet to submit her data information forn already filled form, but she had someone filed d form for her. And the information goes as follows
Her visit purpose is to attend her cousins wedding, and she is not booking an hotel, because she intend to stay in her cousins place for the period of 10 days thru the wedding ceremony , though the wedding ceremony will be taking place in Huston Texas while the cousine stays in Arizona. She is concern and worried if not booking an hotel might make the VO consider her not legible for the Visa,

Did you tell the VO at the beginning of your interview, that your trip was cut short?

My Uncle is the one sponsoring My trip, of course it's clearly stated in My ds-160 form. But how does my parents occupation affect it? Thanks for your contribution, well, the truth is that, I was not touched by it, at least I really enjoyed myself in Abuja, flew from Benin to Abuja form the first time, lodged in One of the best hotel, infact Bolingo Hotels and Towers is the closet to The US Embassy and I paid #25,000 for a night, so you see, even if i didntnget the visa, I really had a good time
