Hello,I'm new here...if my mom gets a loan(not student loan) to sponsor me to study in Canada and the amount reflects on her statement of account, would this affect my application in any way?
If I have another sponsor who isn't related to me in any way,who hasn't paid for my local education previously, what and what do I need to do to convince the VO that he is ready to sponsor me?..especially if my mom has already paid my tuition for one year..
I have many questions (because I'm clueless on how I'm supposed to go about the visa application) and I joined nairaland because of this thread...I hope that in the end my TRV is approved

bro I read through and saw your anger on Nigeria.. who is in doubt? Ethiopian airport in Adis.. is big and very beautiful than Abuja airport, let the person who doubted that resurface? NIGERIA is a shithole country cos the old greedy men kept it in such manner... Youths are leaders of tomorrow? but thesame men or cabals was what my father told me that are still ruling Nigeria till date.. I love Nigeria if things were good but if you are in a system where things work, you would ask "who did we offend in Nigeria", is Africa/Nigeria/blacks a coursed race? why are politicians greedy and selfish!!!!
Why do youth keep believing the politicians? Why do you see what is better elsewhere and pretend yours is better? You can only deceive who hasn't seen.

Divine Speed: Wife and Daughter's approval. Application was made on Aug 1 for them just after my student visa approval. Wife's SOWP and Daughter's visa approved on 06 September - I just landed Canada few days ago .

Wishing everyone waiting here for study visa divine speed. Please don't give up - stay positive, trust God; It will end in praise. If refused, do not give up and also keep your options open ( nor do God work) and if approved thank God for favour and do not forget your purpose (which is to study) and we should always rep our country anywhere we go both in our words , actions and deeds - it is our home.
We need to live and spend in this our home.

good morning gurus in the house. pls i need guideline, i was denied canada study permit, the reasons was based on personal assets and financial, status, limited evidence between me and my sponsor.
my sponsor in my previous application is my brother, and i submited his own companies bank statement closing balance of 10miilion and over 100million transaction and also his person bank statement of 1.7m and 27m transction. i also submitted land documents, i want to apply again cos my sch is jan 2019, pls i need guideline. pls help a sister

You need to address the financial capability. The statement of accounts you presented may not show financial adequacy. Is your brother your sole sponsor? With a closing balance of 10m, how much of it will he commit to your education? H much is your tuition fee and living expenses in a year ? Does your sponsor have other financial obligations? The VO may not see him committing the meagre 10m into your education. You need to do an analysis of your financial adequacy before u reapply.

I disagree with this. The IATA rule is that tickets don't last more than a year. If you book your flight in September 2018, if you don't use the return leg by September 2019, your ticket will be void. Think of somebody who has a 24 months visa to return.
That is why students are generally allowed to buy one way ticket. But that airline staff that was asking you a return ticket was just being overzealous for reason best known to him.

Well you are right.
Remember this is Nigeria anybody can breaks law but the guy in question has just a year trv 12months

I don't know why most Naija youths believe in those old things .. This is why the old cargoes do not want to develop the education sector and provide free education to some certain level because they want majority to keep living in the dark. They don't want many to be knowledgeable and exposed so that they can be looting Nigeria.. At times I ask myself, did God make a mistake creating Nigeria as a country and some certain African countries? Why didn't God give us the kind of smart sense he gave to the whites/westerns for development and growth. The truth is that some people would still travel abroad, gain quality education, come back to Nigeria and still behave selfish, greedy, corruptible like most Nigerians.. who did we offend

Half education and too much religiousity are a problem. I think Self deceit is the worst culprit. Why do people praise or identify with Nigeria only when outside? More questions than answers.. We are in this deep shitttt for generations to come.

I'm sorry HOUSE for bringing what's out of context. Well I was just watching a 2018 flick Billionaire Boys Club and Joe the main character of the movie re-assured his dad that he is gonna take him out of this shithole. Cus of how they were living. Now I deduce what that means to an American... (simply somewhere that is not conducive atall or befitting enough of one's status and not like some (**dung-hole**) interpretation.

Guess Trump himself didn't mean it the way we see it. He was only referencing the GRAND SABOTAGE.

Well her securing a loan for your tuition fee or it's reflection on her statement wouldn't be a problem if she is got sufficient balance left in her account for her personal wellbeing + other siblings of yours "especially if they are dependants ". Remember you shall list every member of your family and their ages. And she will do the same in her support letter.

If not they might term you as not having sufficient funds to undergo study for the period in Canada. Another alternative is to make her your co-sponsor and make the other person your sponsor, then you find a way to explain the persons commitment, relationship, intent and motivation to pay your tuition in your LOE and affidavit of sponsor. Atleast the said person isn't coming from the moon there ought be an existing relationship that you can linkup. Even a best friend or new found friend could be your sponsor, as long as the person is got the money and "truly willing" and you can both write a convincing and compelling letters. Then your prayers can cap it all, nothing is impossible under Gods nod.

Ask my ogas in the house to buttress or correct whatever I ve written.
