Paderborn's Jamilu Collins Vows To Give His Best If Handed Game Time Vs Seychelles
German-based fullback Jamilu Collins has promised to give his best if he's selected in the Super Eagles squad for tomorrow's 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles.

Barring a last-minute change on Saturday, the SC Paderborn 07 left back will not make his full debut against the Pirates as Brian Idowu has gotten the nod from manager Gernot Rohr to start at left back ahead of the former Rijeka starlet.

''My name is Jamilu Collins, I play for SC Paderborn 07 of Germany, I am 24 years. I am very, very happy to get invitation for the national team,'' said Jamilu Collins to Super Eagles Media Officer Toyin Ibitoye.

''I will be very happy (if picked) and I will give my best the same way I do in training to see that we succeed and get a victory that we came for.

''I just want Nigerians to put their hands together and support the team, pray for us and wish us well.''

Collins was a member of the Flying Eagles squad to the 2013 Toulon Tournament in France and went the distance against Belgium.

It's a combination of diet, exercise and genes. I don't really have an idea as to what constitutes the diet in Mali and CIV but according to studies, these countries seem to have men that are taller than the average Nigerian. You can look this up on http://www.averageheight.co/average-male-height-by-country.

Also, poor diet and malnutrition can contribute to stunted growth especially in kids in their adolescents/teenage years. It has also been discovered that Sustained sleep deficit in growing years can keep a person from reaching their growth potential.

Although not fully substantiated, many are of the opinion that foods high in starch like Rice can stunt growth in Kids. Look it up here https://ph.theasianparent.com/foods-that-stunt-growth.

Finally, and this is equally very important, Genetics play a big role. Some African tribes have historically very tall people (an average height of at least 6 ft 2). For example, the Dinka tribe of Sub-saharan Africa and the NIlote people who historically migrated from the Nile towards Tanzania and Rwanda.

I hope this helps

Hmm....makes so much sense particularly where u pointed out that People from Mali and CIV are typically taller. I will add Senegal and Cameroon to this.

I once worked with an Ivorian. A very tall guy. He told me people of his kind of height are more in CIV than we have in Nigeria. That many Nigerians are stunted.

Like as you pointed I think dieting and genetics are key factors here.

Thus a Nigerian 15-16 years old will not look as tall as his age mates from Mali, CIV, Cameroon or Senegal.

Why hasn't anyone said anything about kickoff time in Nigeria. It doesn't even seem to be on the match thread too

More reason why our youth teamers should stay off. What they need is develop first. But not with the kind of training they undergo there which contribute to their injury

It's too defensive. Etebo should be starting instead of Onazi even if it's a 3-5-2 he's playing.
I think Onazi just scored for his team last weekend also Ndidi can score goals. It might not be as defensive as it seems. Etebo and Oyek can come in when our opponent tired out to add to their misery.

You mean mulatto like Js Park, David Alaba, etc are not talented and can't break into Spanish national team if they are Spanish? undecided dey deceive yourself.

Some times u write as though you are a man frustrated out of hopelessness. The post u quoted, clearly indicated that only the exceptional ones can make it. Aint Alaba, JS Park exceptional (world class)? That means that Madrid kid can only make it(get selected by Spain) if he was exceptional. Otherwise..., but just as good as the Rafinhas, Obiangs, Inakis of this world, then we have no fight.

That said, If u weren't so useless as a person, u also would have noticed I was the first person who brought this kid's news here urging Aigbogun to cap him ASAP bfor Korea and Spain take notice.

This post came in here(August 28) even before u heard anything about that kid for the first time. In fact, it was this post that made u take notice of the boy.

ChrisKels:
If Aigbogun had a good scouting network, he would do good to bring this Real Madrid Castila sensation "Akinlabi Olawale Marvin Park" to help strengthen his midfield, since the guy hasn't repped Spain at any level.

First of all, you made a false strong general statement that a mixed blood or Mullato is not wanted in Hangul which is A BIG FAT LIE. Didn't you?

Secondly, you said Spain doesn't give a bleep about average non Spanish players.

The question now is, according to you, who is an average non Spanish players?

You cited a black Spanish player Inaki William and categorised any/every player of Nigerian root (which is also black) as average when you said and I quote 'WHENEVER a NIGERIAN PLAYER (black man) poops up in Spain, I don't shiver because I KNOW that player is either Eagulian or non international becos SPAIN IS NEVER GOING TO LOOK HIS WAY'

According to your last statement, SPAIN IS NEVER GOING TO LOOK HIS WAY in conjunction with your first statement WHENEVER or AS LONG AS HE IS A NIGERIAN (black man or MULATTO) didn't in any way clearly indicates in your write up that only exceptional ones can make it since you have categorically suggested and CONCLUDED that once you are a Nigerian/black man or MULATTO there is NOTHING EXCEPTIONAL about you. You see you mindset? grin

Now to prove my point, you emphatically made your categorisation plain and clear when you said 'Diego Costa is not a MULATTO' which brought me to the conclusion that anything MULATTO, NIGERIAN or BLACK MAN is hereby not categorised as exceptional by you. You see ya life again? grin

THE POINT IS, YOU DON'T CONSIDER ANY BLACK MAN, NIGERIAN AND MULATTO AS EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD. YOU CONSIDER THEM ALL AVERAGE. EOD grin

There is only one exception to all blacks are average to you.... bhahahaha make I talk am? grin na ngwa boy...na mbiase boy.....na umuahia boy.... Hehehehehe! Lmao grin grin grin grin grin

Make I no talk ooo.

You! Open my yanch for Emmanuel Amunike wey me don know even before he became coach!? grin walahi! You be small pikin. Ask from those who followed SE in his days.

Besides, you brought him to our notice doesn't mean you rate him na. Afterall...... hehehehehe grin

ChrisKels:

South Korea wouldn't want to contaminate their pure white stock and Spain doesnt give a bleep about average non Spanish players because they have abundant talents unlike England. If Inaki Williams was Anglo Ghanaian, he would have been capped by England a long time ago to ward off Ghana.

Whenever a Nigerian player pops up in Spain, I dont shiver because I know that person is either an Eagulian or non international because Spain is never gonna look his way. Even that Aliu in Deportivo fabril is a straight fight between Nigeria and Ghana even though he currently plays for the Spanish youth team.

Alcantara, Rodrigo were able to make it bkus both are immensely talented.

ChrisKels:

He said in the last 10 years, that corresponds with Senna's last game for Spain which was in 2008.

Diego Costa isn't a mulatto, besides that, dude clearly made exception for immensely talented players or world class stars, which is where Costa, Senna, Rodrigo, Alcantara fall in. No place in the Spanish team for mixed average or slightly above average players like Inaki Williams, Pedro Obiang, Rafinha Alcantara, Achraf Hakimi etc

Hopefully this isn't true. Playing a pivot of Onazi - Ndidi against Seychelles would be beyond disgraceful. Etebo should be starting.
Then again, it looks like a classic 4-4-2 with Nacho and Ighalo as strikers. Rohr needs to behave himself. WC should've been enough to reset his brain

I don't fancy Etebor in the middle. I prefer Onazi.

The only thing Rohr needs to do is to make them know their role else we experience another confusion as we did against South Africa.

I don't think we have the personel to play the 3-5-2 formation. Victor is out, Ekong out, Mikel out and even Iwobi who can play as a wing back is also out. It will be risky to experiment with untested players else we chop am.

Help Dortmund win the German cup against Bayern at age 20,one of the highest highest assist in bundesliga the season before he left for Barcelona, and he cost 105 million euros.

The only young player better than dembele in world football is kylian Mbappe

Who is inaki Williams? Not a bad player,he will not make the Spanish team,he should go and play for Liberia or Ghana

Inaki Williams is 24 years and has no trophy and dembele is only 21,so please compare

Even if inaki Williams is French he won't make the French team bench

Inaki has a super cup to his name.
