Uncle Seye good morning Sir
My Uncle is sponsoring My trip
I haven't travelled out of the country before
My Uncle actually studied Electronics Engineering In University Of Cambridge and later won a Visa lottery to the US in 2007, He has lived there for 11years and currently a permanent resident, is that not good enough?
Thanks a lot Uncle Seye

Who is sponsoring your trip and have you traveled out of the country before? How did you suppose host in U.S got to live in U.S?
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by Paularge2211: 7:48am On Sep 08, 2018
1, yes
2, yes but is it a crime for a student to tour In Thier Country?
3, Sure but if i didn't have a sponsor (My Uncle), I wouldn't apply for a Visa
4, No 3 above
5, Visa Lottery since 2007
6, Yes is a tie to The US, but sincerely speaking I never intend to over stay, of course I have a course to complete, imhave spent 4 tough years on it, is it just less than 12months that I would now abandon it? When I know I can still travel To The US after Graduation?
7, Well, I know I am fully ready, wait o, it actually depends on your definition of "no ready"
I appreciate your response, My anger is why the short interview?
Even if he knew he would reject My request, he for kukuma ask me all the questions then later still refuse me, haba he no even let me still show him how I Sabi talk and May be I for fit still convinced him, no document(s) was even asked for, the way I take smile commot self, people come they tell me congratulations for outside, lol

KaptainAfrika:
1. You are not married.
2. You are still in school.
3. You are financially dependent, you can't afford your trip.
4. Your parents are retired, how will they sponsor your "tourism".
5. How did your Uncle get into the US, maybe you want to follow the same route
6. Your Uncle in the US, is now a tie to the US, you may not come back to Nigeria again.
7. You are not ready.

Thanks for getting back to the house as promised, thumbs up!

Sorry about the refusal dear brother, this one pained me though. This is actually about your ties.... One of the relaxed ways students can get a US B1/B2 visa is to have had a reasonable travel experience, to be studying some professional course, your school too if part of the A-Class Unis in Naija is an advantage especially the ones paying "expensive" fees, etc.

At your level of ties currently and in relation to your kind of application, your parents counts oh. This your application smells "I want to disappear" a lot. I'm genuinely calculating what indicates this young man will come back home from your situation according to your application, I'm not seeing it at my level. Then, how about a VO? Previous travels and a more compelling travel purpose may have helped you. If I were the one asked your purpose of travel, I would have put visiting my uncle in front first before other things not the other way round like you did from your transcript.

Like I said back then, "e hard die for Nigerian university student without traceable 'ajebutter' background and better travel history to get that visa". I even think so stronger than before putting current stricter situations at the embassy into consideration.

I will conclude by asking again, what exactly is strong enough to bring you back to Naija as things are in the country now?

Koyo ovbioba! Obhiaba, egbe fuere.... Abi no be so dem dey talk am for Edo that year? Una people favor me, I pray make e better for you too.... Pele well well!

What people fail to understand is that ''TIES'' plays a major part in issuance or refusal of US visa application, you need to understand what the V.O expected of you. Your main problem is that applicant within your age bracket tend to absconded to U.S a lot, you will need to convince the V.O that this is not your intention. You need a very good travel history to start with.

I understand the general part, but some situations leave applicants with virtually very slim chances. This your "ajebutter" friend, does he have a good travel history? What is he studying, what level and which school? Same as you, abi? What was his purpose of traveling? A lot of variables are considered together by a VO to come to decision na, check am, not just "ajebority". Greetings bruv!

Welcome to part 3 of this thread, Like the Phoenix, Part 2 must go down for part 3 to be born (Although the info in Parts 1 and 2 remain priceless and Must/Ought to be read by any serious applicant.Part 2 was wonderful. Lots of lovely people offering great advice. Each in their own unique style. You guys rock!!! You know yourselves.

For enquiries relating to likely interview questions and self evaluation, kindly go through both parts 1 and 2 of this thread so you have a fair knowledge of answers to such questions.

Kindly note that this is a do it yourself thread. Nobody here is an agent. Nobody is a VO, hence cannot authoritatively predict your chances of visa success .

Happy reading and good luck to all the honest visa seekers!

It will be better for him to apply for an H-4 visa for you, after y’all get married. It’s a derivative visa for spouses of H1B visas. Much like the F-2 is a derivative of F-1visa. It’s better than a normal B1/B2 visa because they don’t have they 6months maximum stay regulations and some circumstances H-4 visa holders are able to get work permits to work and even go to school.

There is nothing easier .The real truth is that you are anxious and DONT want to wait after your marriage for H4 visa.

Wife to be..as far as US is concerned introduction oh is marriage traditional engagement is marriage white wedding is marriage court oh is marriage.

As long as you've done any of this you can go ahead and apply for H4 as his wife.
So speak to him if he can come to Nigeria now do court then fly back. Court is probably the fastest. Then application for H4 can start before your December date . This way you may even get the visa pre wedding.

If you decide to try the B1/B2 route ...and you lie that you don't have anyone in the US=problem. If they refuse you and then you apply again H4=problem.

The only caveat is if you already have B1/B2 visa...even with that...sigh if you go together same flight then get to PoE. Well leave that to others to decipher
